Relevance.com is a growth marketing agency that helps ambitious companies and individuals raise their visibility, credibility, and authority with digital press and SEO. I serve as the company's Chief Growth Officer, heading business development, sales, and strategic partnerships.

We have collaborated with Hall Analysis on several mutual clients. I also often refer projects to H.A. when someone's need is in their purview but not ours.

Joe's rock-solid track record gave us a high level of trust from the jump. Experience and reputation were high factors for us.

Hall Analysis has helped us 3x organic search traffic for one client, and put others on the path to similar results.

Hall Analysis have met or beaten every deadline they've ever given us. Client deliverables in the form of audits and recommendations are always clearly communicated. The firm is especially good at outlining priorities and action steps in a way that makes sense to CEOs and marketing leaders who may not be SEO experts.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their combination of industry experience, solid communication, and bedside manner is a very rare combination.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have zero issues with the work. Pricing is higher than other SEO experts, but with Hall Analysis the value supports this.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of RAZ Mobility. We provide assistive technologies to people with disabilities, memory loss, vision loss, and hearing loss and we primarily sell to government agencies as well as direct to consumer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hall Analysis?

We were planning to launch a product we were going to sell direct-to-consumer for the first time. It was going to be a basic mobile phone for people who are blind or low vision, so it talks and guides the user. We wanted to sell the device primarily through our website, but it’s difficult to sell a product like this for we needed some SEO support to rank highly on Google.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hall Analysis helped perform an SEO audit of our site, helping us figure out how to design our website and create an online presence to climb the rankings. They created a report looking at various parts of the strategies we could develop to improve our ranking and conversions.

From there, we had some follow-up calls for them to present their findings and we could ask follow-up questions about how to best implement the strategies.

Another SEO consultant was too busy at the time, but he recommended Hall Analysis so we used them.

I believe we spent between $1,000–$2,000 on this project.

We worked together from June–July 2019. It took about three weeks for him to put together the report.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their services had a really good impact on our business. If you type in our keywords, we’re consistently at the very top of the results, if not the first result. Their work has made a huge difference for us and their services were very much worth it. We were happy with the work and it was well-written, we could tell it wasn’t just spat out by a computer. 

How did Hall Analysis perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a great job. He was very responsive. It took a little longer than he initially projected it to, but he communicated that to us so it was never a surprise. Their communication was good. After the written part was complete, we were able to call him and have him pick up the phone immediately or call us back quickly. Everything was good throughout. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated that he didn’t just simply provide us with a list of things we could do, which would be fairly typical. He prioritized it for us and let us know why we should focus on certain things and why they were important. The level of prioritization was really helpful and valuable since you often can’t do all 10 things that someone lists, but you can find time for the most important ones.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I honestly can’t think of anything for them to improve. They produced a standard, solid piece of work for us. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In terms of a business trying to launch a new product, they excel on how to climb the rankings and find strategies right out of the gate. We didn’t use him for other areas, but he does a good job in this particular area.

I’m a marketing executive for a company that sells mobility products, particularly stairlifts. We sell to both end-users as well as gatekeepers (people who care for those with disabilities and mobility issues.)

What challenge were you trying to address with Hall Analysis?

We needed guidance in increasing organic traffic to our website. Google’s algorithm change in March 2019 floored our organic rankings. We struggled for 4–5 months before reaching out to Joe (SEO Consultant & Principal Analyst).

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hall Analysis uniquely conducted a thorough SEO audit for us without any expectation of ongoing business. Joe gave us a very detailed report that analyzed our site’s indexation, content, and backlinks. He then provided us with a roadmap that we could adhere to. It identified low to high priority changes that we could implement ourselves to improve our site performance.

While he may have had a larger team behind him, Joe was our single point of contact.

How did you come to work with Hall Analysis?

We initially looked on Moz, and he came recommended as a verified specialist.

We spent around $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged him in July of 2019 and had the audit in our hands by August.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We implemented the changes that Joe outlined for us and saw an uptick in traffic despite numerous subsequent algorithm changes. There was also recent change in March that took us back to our original high rankings. With these two circumstances combined, we’re at an all-time-high for organic traffic. We’re getting more leads than ever before.

How did Hall Analysis perform from a project management standpoint?

Joe adhered to a very realistic timeline. We were kept in the loop about project progress every step of the way. We primarily used email to communicate. Joe was available whenever our web development team wanted to follow up with him on some of his recommended changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The roadmap they provided us was exquisitely clear and easy to follow.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would’ve liked it if he had linked me up with some partners ahead of time. We were later able to acquire recommendations for link-building agencies, but it would’ve been nice if we had received those referrals earlier on. That being said, it was also nice to know that we weren’t being pushed in a certain direction because it was advantageous for him. It was always about what needed fixing first.

Be open to their advice. They’re able to give you a comprehensive understanding of your SEO. Their workflow enables you to prioritize the most urgent tasks.

We were hoping to improve our SEO and wanted a team that could run an SEO and technical audit to help show us what we needed to change.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our teams started by conducting an in-depth call to explain what we do and how we operate as a company. They crawled our site, looking into different pages and picking out all of the areas where we could fix or improve our content and organization.

From there, they provided us with a comprehensive list of everything to be done on the site, and we hired them to actually implement the changes that they had suggested.

We first came across their team on Google and were impressed by their portfolio of previous work, so we decided to reach out to them. They stood out the most out of any company we interviewed, especially because Joe was willing to talk with me directly, so we moved forward from there.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s too early to have seen any significant changes in ranking, but just from my observation of their work I am convinced that they did a fantastic job. Since we have the technical background to understand the basis of what they are doing, it was clear that they were extremely detail-oriented and skilled at what they do.

How did Hall Analysis perform from a project management standpoint?

We spoke every Friday to make sure that we were always on the same page and making progress towards our current goals. He was always on time and made sure that our discussions were productive, which I really appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took the time to really understand our business in-depth so that they could provide the best possible service.  It was clear that they were doing the work manually rather than through automated tools because of how well-tailored it was to my business’ specific needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I really think they did a great job in everything we asked for from them.

I really don’t think there is anything in particular that you need to do to be successful with them. They have the communication and technical skills to understand your vision and do the work necessary to get you there.

We use them when we’re rolling out something new. They did SEO [search engine optimization] audits and then worked to improve the website’s rankings. They also helped us transfer sites and move from an http certificate to https.

We possibly found them at Pubcon, an SEO conference, we go to every year. We also read about Joe in a blog.

We've already made some of the audit adjustments and traffic has remained steady in growth over the past few months/weeks since.
