I worked with Clickmatix for almost two years and unfortunately did not get the results I expected. The key indicators that show whether SEO is improving — my SEMrush Authority Score and Ahrefs Domain Rating — showed no meaningful progress the entire time.

For context, these authority scores range from 0 to 100, where:

0–20 = very weak website authority

20–40 = average

40+ = strong authority

60+ = very strong, competitive authority

During my service period with Clickmatix:

My SEMrush score actually dropped from 11 to 10

My Ahrefs Domain Rating is currently at 4

Both scores fall into the “very weak” range and indicate no improvement in website authority.

Throughout the engagement, I was never given reporting on these important metrics, even though they are standard indicators of whether SEO work — particularly backlink building — is actually making an impact. These authority scores are one of the clearest ways for customers to see whether an SEO company is genuinely improving a site. Without reporting on them, it becomes very difficult to know if any meaningful progress is being made.

I was fortunate to get a second opinion from another provider, which helped me understand what I should have been tracking from day one. Many business owners don’t hold SEO companies accountable because they simply trust whatever reports they receive — but these core authority metrics are critical. I strongly encourage anyone choosing an SEO agency to track these numbers themselves and do their homework to separate good SEO providers from bad ones.

Communication around what tools were being used was inconsistent, and the metrics discussed during the initial proposal were not the same ones referenced later when I raised concerns. In my experience, Clickmatix did not acknowledge any fault or responsibility for the lack of progress, which was disappointing and contributed to my decision to leave. I feel this reflects on the level of accountability I experienced throughout the engagement.

After almost two years with little to no measurable improvement and a lack of clarity, I cancelled my services and have formally requested a refund.

This was my personal experience, and I strongly recommend that anyone working with an SEO agency ensure they receive transparent reporting and track their website’s key metrics from the very beginning.

Prior to using Clickmatix, some of our keywords were not showing our website within 100 pages of Google, but now, we are on page 1-3 with many of our keywords.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I meet with our account manager Dan M regularly via Zoom to discuss our current projects and upcoming projects. Communication is always very simple with Dan and stress-free.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We came in for SEO and we now have a website rebuild and social media campaigns running, so they're helpful in many avenues of online services.

The professionalism of the website is excellent and I now feel confident that it matches the expectations of our client base.

Chintan, Project Manager was incredibly patient in fact went above and beyond to work closely with me, tolerate my lack of IT savvyness etc. I received regular updates, Zoom progress meetings, and most importantly Chintan was so professional, patient and a pleasure to work with throughout.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They led a really positive and collaborative partnership. They were responsive to communication and updates. At times I took a different turn content but this once again was no problems for Chintan. Chintan wanted to ensure that i was happy with the finished product.

I felt the approach from Clickmatix wasn't about hurrying the process but going at the client's pace which meant consulting work priorities often delayed my getting back to Chintan but he was completely relaxed about which resulted in me not rushing the process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our company are a completely satisfied customer of Clickmatix thanks to Chintan's personal attention, patience and care throughout the project management of our new website.

We're only a few months into the engagement, but we've already seen a stable increase in site traffic and leads. Clickmatix's high-quality deliverables have helped us secure seven leads in the last 2–3 weeks, and we hope to continue seeing these improvements as our partnership progresses.

We communicate via Zoom and rely on Joomla! for project management. Clickmtix is a responsive and accommodating partner — they keep us in the loop at all times, and they're always prepared with thorough progress reports. Additionally, they're very mindful of our deadlines.

I’m an older woman and most SEO companies have young people who act like they know much more than I do. That hasn’t happened with Clickmatix. Andy listened to me and tried to understand where I was coming from. I appreciated that there was an element of respect for my experience and understanding of the project. My wife and I are owners of an e-commerce business. We manufacture products for the baking industry, primarily cookie cutters and stamps to decorate cookies. We sell them globally, but probably 95% of our business is within Australia.

When you searched on Google, all our competitors were at the top — we weren’t being found or seen. The main objective was to grow our presence through SEO so that we would be close to the top of the search results. We were trying to build a presence and strong customer base so that we would increase sales and have a sustainable business.

We’ve only ever worked with one person at a time, and that person usually changes every 6–12 months. Our current account manager is Andy (Senior Digital Strategist), and he’s the best one we’ve had so far, so hopefully, there won’t be another change.

When we first started, I was very skeptical about SEO marketing. I worried about if it was a waste of money or whether there was a science behind it, and we couldn’t do it ourselves. We searched for SEO management in Melbourne, and a few companies came up. There were companies all over the world, but we wanted someone in Australia who knew the Australian market and could communicate anytime with us.

We explored a couple of companies, and Clickmatix was one of them. It took us probably 4–5 months before we decided we needed help with SEO and that we were happy to go with Clickmatix, so we took our time, but we knew it was an investment.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We signed a contract with Clickmatix and saw steady growth after six months, which was about what we were told it would take. Since then, our growth and performance have gotten better. When we look at our Google Analytics through our Shopify platform, we see that our sales have increased 10 times and our traffic 20–30 times. When we do our own searches on Google, looking for things that our customers might look for, we now appear on the first page.

However, it’s hard to pinpoint if that growth is entirely up to Clickmatix, since we’ve also grown the business in that time. We have a customer retention rate of 38%, which is partly because of the quality service we provide.

How did Clickmatix Pty Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

We can’t complain; it’s exactly what we need. They set up a formal meeting to go through the monthly metrics. There’s always communication back and forth between us through emails and phone calls, which is what we wanted when we got someone local. Last night, I sent out an email out of hours with a question, and first thing this morning, I got a reply from them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We haven’t worked with anyone else, so we’re just very happy with them. Their communication and service are good, and they’re a good value for money.

In the last 18 months, we’ve had three different account managers. Right now we have Andy, and he is great. We keep thinking that if we’d had him two years ago, maybe we would be in a much better position, so we would like to see that he’s retained with us in our contract.

Any advice for potential customers?

You should have a clear strategy and vision on where you want your business to go and what you want to achieve. Most people hold this in the short term, in revenue sales, but you should plan your growth and development in the long term. Go beyond what you’re thinking of in the immediate future.

Having everything done by one company helps a lot. They give me a lot of attention. I hear from them almost every day, and we communicate through phone calls and email.

Andy is fantastic. He makes me feel assured that my money’s being spent very well. We’re in touch every day, and he addresses all my concerns. We have very good communications. Some companies contact the customer just once a month, but Andy is there all the time. He feels like an employee.

They’re always on the same page with me in terms of what I want to do with the website. They’ve never given me an excuse, unlike other developers I’ve worked with. Clickmatix is a can-do company, and they’ve always done what I asked them to do.

Don't look at any other companies. I’ve dealt with other companies before. There are a lot of dodgy companies out there, but Clickmatix is very genuine. They really look after the client.

They got us on the first page of Google after just a few months. We also get calls from potential clients, which is slowly helping us build our business. We’re in a good position right now and people can see us. When there are issues with the site, they call us and we try to rectify the situation.

Clickmatix could give us information on the changes Google makes over time and what they’re doing to help us perform well under those circumstances in their monthly report. We see the results of what gets done but we don’t always hear what causes the changes in easy-to-understand language.

My advice is to do your research. Have a look at different companies and see what sets them apart. Understand what’s applicable to you and your business, since every business is different.
