Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the development director at A21 and an independent film Director.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Cinefilms?

We hired them to provide all the crew and logistics for three narrative films for my can you see me campaign a21.org/canyouseeme

What were your goals for this project?

to film local talent to bring awareness to human trafficking and exploitation for Spanish speaking nations in the Caribbean and central american. This was to form part of a global campaign to bring awareness in over 600 airports reaching potentially billions of people.

SOLUTION

How did you select Cinefilms?

We went through a stringent process and chose Cinefilms due to their care and attention to detail and their ability to define and stick to a budget. we filmed the first of the three films as a test and decided to do all three back to back.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The provided the complete crew, logistics (carnets) and leased with casting directors, locations, hire of specialist equipment and machinery for the job while ensuring we had all the relevant licenses. They ran the entire production for us while we provided a director and a DOP.

What was the team composition?

60 man crew. 6 personal brought in for two units Director x2 DOP x2 Asist Director x2

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

the outcome is that we have three very well executed films 1 of which has won 14 awards which can be seen on my IMDB.me/christianelliott called "sex tourism - Can you see me"

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

our main producer Angel Puello was the main interconnect between myself and co Director and the entire crew, casting director and key personal. We managed to secure all the prep in the lead up to the project and Angel made it a seamless experience.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We liked their Moto "we get it done" because the nature of short films is that we don't have the largest budgets and we therefore need people that are enthused by a project of this nature and extra to go the extra mile. They managed to find first-class crews and went an extra mile for all of us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only area for improvement would be to have grow the business beyond the few individuals in the company as they have the potential to scale the business to be the best on the island. I think they are thinking too small and could benefit from some help in this area.
