BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and executive director of DiverseCity, a youth development organization that uses sports as a vehicle to connect young people of all different races, religions, nationalities, and backgrounds. Our program intends to bring together youth who otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity of meeting to grow together and get along.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
All of our programs had been in person until the COVID-19 pandemic, when we started moving them to a virtual platform. We brought in ChopDawg.com to develop an app that would allow us to connect the youth we work with in different cities.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com is developing a mobile app for us. We provided information to jumpstart the project, and they gave us samples of similar projects they’ve done to give us an idea of what to expect. They provided a detailed scope of work that was over 100-pages long. We had several exchanges back and forth to tweak requirements for a few weeks. Our respective lawyers also looked over the scope.
After the scope was approved, the team got into the project launch and began the design phase. The team started with a low-fidelity design and built swimlanes. After that, they moved into high-fidelity design, which they’re about to finish. The next stell will be to turn the project over to the development team, with the goal to finish by the end of July 2022.
Additionally, the ChopDawg.com team provides us with consultancy services to help us grow the app. For example, they’ve advised us on handling customer service and tools we can use to help with that aspect. They’ve also connected us to other parties that can help us.
What is the team composition?
We’ve met with several teammates from ChopDawg.com, including Joshua (CEO), Mattie (COO), a QA coordinator, and Tammy (CXO), who oversees project management and billing. We work directly with Kaitlyn (UI/UX Designer) and Madeline (Project Manager) on the design side. We’ll also be working with developers in the next few weeks.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
We found them through word of mouth. A mutual friend recommended Joshua and told me he’d built up ChopDawg.com to be a known and respected business worldwide. I had an introductory call with Joshua. We came into this project as true beginners, and the educational piece that ChopDawg.com provided was better than what we’d had interviewing other companies. While other vendors felt like factories churning out apps that weren’t invested in the details, Joshua provided a personal touch.
With ChopDawg.com, it didn’t feel like they were trying to sell us on working with them. Instead, they provided information and free advice about directions that we could take the project. The team gave us the knowledge we needed to understand what the process and the final product would look like. Additionally, their list of completed projects was impressive and overlapped with what we were looking to do.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $75,000, and we’ll spend another $30,000. The project’s total cost will be around $105,000–$110,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com has done everything they said they would do. Moreover, they’ve stuck to the timeline and have been very diligent about keeping us on track. We’ll transition from design to development and track how smooth the process is and whether we stay on time and budget.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve worked with other vendors, and my partner comes from the service provider world; we’re both impressed with their project management. For example, we had early questions about things we anted in the scope that weren’t included initially. The team used their project management protocol to help us work it out, and we reached an understanding to have what we wanted while not drifting too far from the scope.
Slack is our go-to communication tool; through it, we’re connected to Confluence, Google Drive, and Figma. We also use email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
ChopDawg.com’s distinguishing factor is their level of professionalism and likeability. Every person on their team has been supportive and delightful to work with. When we’re in the weeds, we want to work with people we get along with, and ChopDawg.com’s team has been kind, respectful, and concerned about the project’s progress — they genuinely care about our success.
From a technical standpoint, the team is first-rate, from the designers to upper-level management. They’re subject matter experts, which is precisely what we were looking for. Their ability to convey their knowledge has also been helpful. They check all the boxes for us in terms of educating us and acting as true partners.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Early on, there may have been an opportunity to staff up quicker. However, that’s a minor issue because we’re on time and budget.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’ve spoken to a few interested companies looking to develop apps, and my advice is to be over-communicative. ChopDawg.com is responsive; they get back to us efficiently with the information we need to make decisions.

ChopDawg.com developed an app for a realtor. The team took the client's idea, provided guidance on the scope, and designed and developed the app, using Slack and Figma to coordinate with the client.
ChopDawg.com delivered a high-definition and user-friendly app prototype. The team went above and beyond, helping the idea grow and develop. They were always on time and responsive through email and Slack. ChopDawg.com was also personable, organized, and friendly throughout the process.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a realtor. I had an app idea for real estate and clients. I have a partner who has helped along the way, and my son has been part of the development and idea input.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
I had an app idea, and I reached out to ChopDawg.com and another provider to help me put it together.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com helped me develop my app idea. I gave them the idea, and they completely developed it from what was in my head. We worked through their Slack and Figma. After we met Josh (Owner), he sent me the contract. I reviewed it and invited my partner and son; the three of us then had a Zoom meeting. We got in contact with Leo (Developer).
They guided me because I sent my ideas and thoughts, and they kept me on track, telling me what would work for now and what might work later down the road. They walked me through the process step by step and took all my ideas to create the app. ChopDawg.com created the boards and then transitioned to designing them every week. From there, we went to the logo and name. The team ultimately delivered a prototype.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Josh and Leo. There was also someone in training who sat in our meetings.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found them on Bing's Copilot search. I asked it for the top five app developers, and ChopDawg.com was number three. When I clicked on their name, I found their Clutch profile. I interviewed three other companies from that list. I really liked Josh, his background, and his enthusiasm for my app idea. He communicated really well and was excited about it. He said we could talk more and figure everything out, so I picked him.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first talked to Josh in July 2025, and I signed the contract in September 2025. We had our last meeting in November 2025. Now, we’re waiting for them to send us the link so we can start reaching out to investors.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since the app has not been launched yet, we don't have any metrics; these will come once we get investors and figure out more aspects. Still, ChopDawg.com was always on time and exceeded our expectations. Leo went way above and beyond. He created a really high-definition and easy-to-use app. Since I'm not a technical person, the team explained everything in a way that I could understand. Every week, we'd get one step closer — the team kept growing and developing my idea.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com delivered on budget. They were always on time and professional. We communicated through Slack. If I had a question, I could email them anytime, and they would respond at 11 p.m. sometimes. Josh and Leo would respond whenever I had an idea. We had weekly meetings with Leo. They were always on time and professional.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were personable, organized, precise, and friendly. They always answered our questions and had great ideas every week. From the beginning, ChopDawg.com made me feel comfortable. They never said something wasn't possible; they only suggested tweaks and asked for clarifications. They took my vision and created the prototype, which I believe will be a big success thanks to ChopDawg.com's knowledge.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can't say anything bad about them. They helped and guided me, and helped me understand how apps worked.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The biggest thing is to think and dream of an app idea. ChopDawg.com can put it together and make the vision be seen.

The client has been pleased with ChopDawg.com's work. The team has been efficient and communicative, responding to questions quickly. They have delivered work on time and within budget. The client has also praised the team's enthusiasm and friendliness. They will continue working together.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO and founder of WEPLUR, an online social platform for Connecting, Dating, and Networking. I have worked hard to create a product that is fundamentally different that much of the competition out there.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed help developing and bringing to market a custom tooled piece of software that would maintain the strong vision we had for our product. Chop Dawg's software development proficiency, adaptability, and client approach made this decision for us easy!
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com will build custom software based on the concepts and functionality we had worked hard to create, while always mindful of the original intent and use case. This included proper wireframe renderings, and high-fidelity mockup's within Figma that were regularly reviewed by our team, and backend programming that was also reviewed and discussed regularly. Additionally, Chopdawg is also authoring an administrative application to manage the applications customer facing product experience.
What is the team composition?
We work with Joshua and Rutvi.Everyone we have had the pleasure of working with on this project has been exceptional! A few names that come to mind are: Joshua, Rutvi, Micah, Khizar, Wikram, and Iqbal.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I initially interviewed several companies that were located throughout the United States via Zoom phone calls. Once I had completed my reviews of each company, it had become clear to me that ChopDawg represented the best and most comfortable match! I then booked a flight from the West Coast to the East Coast to make a formal introduction and to review the extensive paperwork and notes I had created that would become the foundation of WEPLUR. I contracted with ChopDawg based on their culture & personality, technical know-how, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and general interest toward the project.
They were definitely a step ahead of the competition in terms of their level of interest and left me thinking I had made friends on this trip east. ChopDawg has been realistic about expectations and the workflow process; they never overpromised anything.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $125,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement started in February 2025, and it’s ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project is still in development, but ChopDawg.com has been efficient. We meet twice a week via Zoom and probably have a few Slack or Phone interactions, and the meetings have been truly interactive and collaborative. The communication with Joshua and Rutvi has been excellent. There has been very little delay when asking a question before receiving a response. Moreover, everyone on the team has been very nice and enjoyable to work with.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com has delivered on time and on budget. We use Figma for the design work and Slack for internal communication. We use Jira for project management and of course the always present Microsoft Outlook.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I'm probably most impressed by their adaptability, technical knowledge, and proactive direct honest communication coupled with a strong sense of pride in the work they produce.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There's nothing they need to improve. In fact, we've decided to continue working with them after this project is completed for revisions and updates. In fact, I may have a few other app ideas tooling around in my head that I will likely use ChopDawg to help see my vision become reality.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared!! The more you have your concept fleshed out in a formulaic manner on paper or in a drawing format, the better. Write every component out yourself and attempt to understand or justify why it should work that way, etc, before engaging with a software development company. Having a good understanding of what you're attempting to accomplish and who your user base is can help ensure a more successful project and very likely save you time and money!!

client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of a platform that helps people get feedback about their performance for knowledge workers.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
I hired ChopDawg.com to build the mobile app for iOS and Android and the web admin.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an initial phase in which I walked through the scope of what I was looking for. Then, ChopDawg.com submitted a scope, which I reviewed with them and signed off on. The team then began the wireframes and design. Once that was complete, they began development. The team is tasked with building the app from scratch.
So far, we've had an iterative QA process and stayed in touch with recurring meetings. We’re still in development; I’ve made some changes that I wanted to see, so they’re making those adjustments from a design perspective.
As for features, the app needs to allow people to get feedback on their performance. This way, users can invite their co-workers to share feedback by answering questions. The responses to those questions are then aggregated into insights that users can use as a knowledge worker to understand how they’re perceived at work and how their strengths are perceived.
What is the team composition?
We worked with around five people, including a project manager, a frontend developer, a backend developer, a QA specialist, and a designer.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found them on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $80,000–$90,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with ChopDawg.com in October 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven't launched the app yet, but ChopDawg.com provides good-quality work.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
Our timeline has been a little extended, but they’ve remained within budget. We largely use Confluence and Slack for project management and communication. I told them Slack is probably best for me, so I’ve asked them to use that as the primary channel.
What did you find most impressive about them?
ChopDawg.com's biggest strength is that I trust them to get the job done correctly. They’ve shown that they’re there to be partners, and it’s not purely a transactional relationship. They’re truly invested in the success of the project, not just in getting the project done. That’s gone a long way in helping to improve the solution.
At first, when I met with other development shops, they seemed more transactional. ChopDawg.com uses offshore resources but mixes them with onshore resources, which is helpful as a translation layer.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The timeline has slipped slightly in some of the project stewardship. We’ll see some improvements in that area.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask for timelines and clear documents outlining the engagement steps and when things will be ready. That way, you’ll feel clear about the project and can more easily manage it.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm an executive at a fintech company. We work directly with banks and help them with their open finance connectivity. Our company helps connect end customers to their bank data within preferred third-party applications.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed help with design services for a new UX that we wanted to develop.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com provided UX/UI design services for our web application. Initially, we met with them to discuss what we were looking for in an overall UX design. We talked through the features and functionality, and who the personas would be that would be using the product. They talked about some of their past engagements and how they felt they were well-suited for this opportunity.
We identified the requirements we were looking for, and they came out with a proposal. We met and walked through the proposal, and everything looked good, so we signed them up.
We went through a good 6–7-week engagement. They were forecasting to be done with their work by the end of June, and they were ahead of schedule. We met weekly, and they provided design reviews. We gave them feedback, and they incorporated it. Also, my engagement review of it was through Figma.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a lead designer and the CEO.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
We found them through an online search.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from early May–June 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve shared the designs internally, and the feedback has been very positive.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
They were ahead of schedule, and there were no budgetary updates. Everything was done through Figma and Slack. We also used email and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their attention to detail was impressive. They were extremely professional and managed the process well. They kept things on time and constantly delivered items back to us. They were very responsive and easy to work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Push them in different ways. I found them very easy to work with, and I don’t know what advice I’d give. I’d say work with them like we did because it went well.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a consultant for the Youth Rugby Initiative, a nonprofit. I used to work for USA Rugby and worked on their database system, so I know what is needed for this project.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed help with custom software development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com explained their ethos and design methodology before development. The team is helping us design and develop a web app.
The app will track kit requests donated to middle schools. It will also schedule volunteers to teach rugby to physical education teachers and spend a day with the kids. The app will also have a CRM feature to keep track of all the organizations and people involved.
We are currently in the design phase. We have a proof of concept design from which the team based de designed the web app. We've explained and provided the description of what we wanted.
That has helped us define, and we've done real wireframing. We have weekly meetings to provide feedback. The team is using Figma for the design.
What is the team composition?
We work with Josh, the CEO, and Andre, a designer.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
We found them through a web search. They were very responsive and gave us the information we were looking for. After narrowing down the options, we chose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We are on track to meet our milestones by the end of this month. The main app user has been loving the process and can’t wait for it to be developed so that he can use it. The process and communication have been great.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
We have weekly meetings, and progress has been on track. The budget might be a little over, but that's not necessarily their fault. We use Jira, Slack, and Figma to communicate and read notes directly, but we primarily use Zoom and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We've been impressed with their honesty and responsiveness. They are willing and able to adapt to our requests.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The contracts are a bit long, but that’s not a big deal.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It depends on how much money you want to spend. You can either have them do everything, or the main thing you have to do is have somebody ready to respond when they have questions. If you want to stay on the deadline, if you want to have them do everything you want them to do, you have to be ready to respond to their questions when they arise.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of JAERIMY, Inc.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed help with mobile app design and development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com is currently designing and developing a personal safety mobile app for iOS and Android. The app is intended for people who live alone and are 50 years old and older. The team has already created wireframes and is using Adobe and Figma for the design process. ChopDawg.com is now in the development stage and is using React Native. Next, we will work on the app's QA testing.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with 11 teammates from ChopDawg.com, including a designer, several developers, a project manager, and the CFO, who makes sure the project remains on track and within the specified contract budget.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found ChopDawg.com through an online search. I looked at their website and offerings and researched their online footprint, such as their LinkedIn page and reviews. After a week, I decided to choose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I first contacted ChopDawg.com in February 2025, and we started working on the design in April 2025. The engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com has definitely helped me save time. I went to them with a pre-existing design, and when their designer came onto the project, the work she did was transformative. Everything came together in the design she created. Having ChopDawg.com manage the whole development process has also been an enormous time saver for me as a solo entrepreneur. The team has saved me so much time on the development side of getting the app ready to go to market. Moreover, the quality of their work has exceeded my expectations.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
We manage the project through Slack, where I can communicate directly with the project manager or any of the developers. The team sends me quick messages to check something out and get my thoughts. I can give them instant feedback. We also have biweekly Zoom calls with all the developers and teammates to go over different milestones and expectations. We use Trello and Jira for project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve worked with ChopDawg.com and Joshua in the past and have over two decades of IT experience. However, I’m not a software developer. We’ve developed a great working relationship. When I go to them and ask for something, I’ve usually sat down for at least a week to determine exactly what I need from them. I put a lot of work into my requests because I’m a solo founder and am bootstrapping this with my savings. ChopDawg.com knows right off the bat what I’m asking, so there are no blind spots in what they’re delivering to me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any areas of improvement.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I hope all potential clients do their own internal due diligence. I know that sometimes people have an idea for a business but may not know how to get it started. I recommend that any new potential client take advantage of ChopDawg.com’s background and skill set so they can come up with as precise a proposal as possible. This will help ChopDawg.com give you real and concise information, projections, and costs.
