The goal of developing a new modern website for our orthopedics practice is to enhance patient experience and streamline access to vital information. We aim to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface that showcases our services, expertise, and patient testimonials, fostering trust and engagement. The website will prioritize mobile responsiveness and accessibility, ensuring patients can easily navigate and find resources on any device. Additionally, we seek to integrate features such as online appointment scheduling, educational content, and a robust blog to promote health awareness and support patient education. BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of communications for the city of Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed help with mobile app development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com has been helping us with mobile app design, development, testing, and support. The team has been responsible for everything, including the launch.
The project started with an engagement period where we discussed what the city wanted to see and the app's purpose. We talked about the modules we wanted and what we wanted the public to access. From there, we went into a black-and-white design.
We had a period to consider what we wanted to change and do. Then, we got the full-color production of what it would look like. All of this was done through Figma, so we could see what it looked like and how it would interact.
We then started talking about the APIs, where the information would come from, how things would be imported, and what third-party subscriptions we might have to purchase to get what we wanted. The team has been developing the app for a few months. We have weekly calls with them to continue through the process.
The team is designing the app in React Native. We've also had to do a lot of work with our third-party providers, so API implementation has been a big piece of this. We are currently in the final stages of development and about to start testing.
What is the team composition?
We've had a good discussion with the owner and CEO. He's been a big part of the introduction and getting us set up, and jumps in every now and then to check on us and see how we’re doing. We also worked with a project manager, but she had some issues and brought another project manager, Micah, the CTO.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
We found them on Clutch. We had to go out for an RFQ. We went for several and spoke with ChopDawg.com and another company. What really made the decision was their knowledge and ability to think outside the box. They understood what we were looking for and worked with us on what we were trying to do.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent a little over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The team has been instrumental in designing and developing the app and helping us find other third-party software partners to ensure everything works. They’ve done a lot of work with us on what we need to be able to send basic emails through the app. The team has been integral in working with other companies on the backend to ensure everything works well. They've been very engaged with us. We hope to start testing here in the next 10 days, with our anticipated launch date being the first week of July.
The quality of their work has exceeded our expectations. We had ideas about what we wanted the app to do, and they've done a great job of building an app that meets our brand standards. We didn't really have any design thoughts; we wanted to leave that to the professionals. The team has made some of the functionality we wanted easier for the end user, and that's been great.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
The team has delivered the work on time and on budget. The team communicates well with us via Figma. We've had weekly or biweekly meetings since we started them. Their communication is excellent. Using Slack to communicate with all the team members at one time has been helpful; I had never used it before, so being able to do that was great. We do Zoom meetings and have a couple of phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They do a fantastic job of not overpromising, and that's very important to me. If there’s something they can’t do, they let us know and suggest something that can solve the same problem. Their communication is a huge strength. If I email them, they get back to me within one business day. Sometimes, they jump on a call with us within an hour.
So, communication, the ability to work through problems with them, and their availability are huge strengths when it comes to something like this.
From a government standpoint, it’s essential for us to find a company that believes in our mission and understands the importance of what we do for our community.
We've found an open and honest company. They've researched anything they may not have understood, and they’ve even taken the time to learn about the community during the app’s development.
We are not selling a product, we are trying to reach our residents. Their dedication to doing that research and learning about who we are as a community, I think, really helped this project. And you don't find a lot of private companies in the service industry that do that. And this company was really good at doing that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We've had some issues working through some of the API information. Some of that has to do with the fact that they have some government clients, but they’re more on the federal level, and we're a local government. We have some websites that are bigger in the local government world that they haven’t worked with before. There's been a little delay in making sure it was understood how to get those APIs and how to implement them. They worked on it. It just took a little longer, probably because they didn't quite have that experience yet. But I think we were also looking for that: we wanted someone who could bring fresh eyes and hadn't had their whole career in government. So, it's kind of a blessing and a curse. We get someone who can look at it from the outside. It's new to them, so they can bring fresh ideas to the government space. But then, there was also a little bit of a learning curve for them. But I think that kind of worked out for both of us, too.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go in with an open mind. Find people who are smarter than you when it comes to design and development. I consider myself a designer, but I didn’t want to go into this with preconceived notions of what I wanted. I wanted to give information and see what they came up with. I think that really brought value to this project because we got a lot of people with a lot of different ideas, which is going to make this better.
They were the type of company that partnered with us to ensure they gave us something that represented us and their work. You want a developer who’s invested because they know their brand is on the line as well.

ChopDawg.com developed the backend and frontend of a mobile app for a social networking company. The team used existing wireframes to build features like secure login, account creation, and multi-person chat.
ChopDawg.com failed to meet deadlines and the client's expectations — in fact, the project was delayed by three months, and the delivered app had over 3,000 issues. Moreover, whenever the client raised any issues or concerns, ChopDawg.com dismissed them and gave excuses, not solutions. This review includes the service provider's response.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Use existing wireframes to develop backend and front mobile app for both Apple and Andriod. The MVP of the app was already planned, scoped and wireframed. ChopDawg was hired to develop features such as secure login and authentication, account creation. profile creation, profile matching with a simple algorythm, a multi-person chat feature, and account deactivation.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We met weekly were the team would showcase work accomplished. I did not have access to the code until the contract ended though so it was mostly my PM showing me demos using the Figma prototype.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
My project went 3 months overtime for a 3 month project. No deadlines were met, nor were expectations. When I raised concerns or issues, I was quickly dismissed or given excuses. Soon they started telling me that everything was fine and I simply wasn't using the app correctly when I had issues with simple features like the date picker. Instead of addressing the issue, they tried to gaslight me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The CEO was very kind and approachable, in the beginning. He made me truly believe he was there to help and deliver quality. Unfortunitely, that did not last long.
Are there any areas for improvement or something ChopDawg.com could have done differently?
Once I finally recieved my code and ran it through quality checkers, I found over 3,000 issues with 351 of them being "critical" issues. My app was unusable the way they delivered it. They took twice as long, decimated my design, and gave me extremely low-quality code that took 10's of thoughsands more dollars to fix with another company.
Company Responses
The service provider responded on May 19, 2025.
We’re sorry to hear this feedback and take all input seriously. At ChopDawg.com, we’re deeply committed to building long-term, successful partnerships and delivering high-quality, thoughtful digital products that stand the test of time—a commitment we’ve upheld throughout our nearly 17 years in business.
In this case, several aspects of this review are misleading and omit important context.
The project’s direction shifted significantly after all designs had been reviewed and approved by the partner—designs that form the foundation of any successful build. We advised the partner of the risks associated with introducing major scope changes mid-development. Nonetheless, multiple out-of-scope requests and new features were added during programming. These changes impacted both the delivery timeline and the original development plan. The project was ultimately paused by the partner well before we could begin and complete our quality assurance process—an essential step that ensures performance, stability, and launch readiness. We clearly communicated the importance of this process and the risks of proceeding without it.
Throughout the engagement, we maintained consistent, transparent communication: daily Slack updates, scheduled weekly Zoom calls, regular live demos of the app functioning, and full project visibility via GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Figma. The partner had direct access to their project manager, developers, designer, QA team, and leadership throughout. Even after the contract ended early, we ensured full access to their intellectual property and remained available to assist as needed.
While we welcome all feedback and continuously strive to improve, we believe this review presents a selectively framed account. We’re always open to honest, respectful dialogue and would gladly welcome the opportunity to reconnect if the partner wishes to reach out directly.
Since 2009, we’ve launched over 500 digital products across platforms. 92% of our partners return—reflecting the trust, transparency, and care we bring to every relationship.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a startup company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
I needed help with app design and development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com has helped me with the design of my app. We've presented ChopDawg.com with some initial specs and designs. The team has created a prototype of the app for iOS and Android. They've used Figma for the design. We’ve created two separate contracts, one for the design and the other for the development. We haven’t started the development contract yet, but we’re planning on getting it up and running soon.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with a project manager and a UI/UX designer. The UI/UX designer has created drafts, which have been reviewed and approved by the head designer and the CTO.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found them through a Google search. I was looking for an app development agency, and I was attracted to ChopDawg.com because their CEO was based in the US. The team also had many well-known prior projects, so I knew they were well vetted. I sent many emails, but ChopDawg.com was the only company that I met with on a video call. After some conversations, I decided to pursue the project with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We divided the project into two separate contracts: one for the design and one for the development. We’ve spent about $13,000 on the design. The development part hasn't started yet.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com has a great process, and the work they’ve done for me is really good. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and gave them leeway for creativity, and the team has made it come to life. The app has come out better than I thought it would, and I’m really happy with the work they’ve done.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com’s communication is great. I meet with the project manager and the UI/UX designer every week to discuss the past week's deliverables and what we can expect next week. They've onboarded us on Slack, where we talk with everyone on the team.
I also text my project manager on the side, and he responds right away. If I want to talk to the designer about anything or make a comment, I can do so in a Figma file, and he always gets back to it. I can also add them on Slack and send a message. ChopDawg.com will use Jira for project management during the development process.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with ChopDawg.com’s organization and process. Initially, I didn't realize how big of a project the app's design would be; I wouldn’t have been able to do the design on my own, especially to the extent that they’ve done it. Everything has been so organized, and the development documentation is super simple for any developer.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Look at the design phase and constantly look at the Figma file. See what the designer is doing and make comments. Tell the designer if you want something done differently. Our designer is super responsive, has made changes, and figured out our feedback right away. The more feedback you give them, the happier you’ll be with the final result because it’ll be tailored to you.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the manager of technology partnerships at Southwire Spark, the largest wire and cable manufacturer. We make anything wiring cable-related, from power generation plants to the receptacles in your home, and we've been in business for 75 years.
I manage our innovation center hub at Tech Square in Atlanta, Georgia. I work with startup companies, national labs, government agencies, and academic institutions to understand emerging technologies and how they can benefit our business. I also manage our external partners and head up our external partnerships.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We were building a website to enhance our external engagement.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com has provided web design and development services. We started with a blank slate. The team has designed and developed a custom website from scratch. They’ve taken our feedback and made recommendations. The team has designed wireframes and built them out in Figma. Their developer has taken those designs and hardcoded all the development work using WordPress.
The website's been primarily built for two main uses. The first is to educate people on what Southwire Spark does and outline our vision for communicating that vision externally. The second is to use the website as a platform for our external partners to understand the opportunity to collaborate with Southwire.
There's a partnerships page where external partners can see upcoming events and submit their ideas to our company if they have emerging technology that they would like us to examine. They've made recommendations for third-party hosting sites. However, since we’re such a large corporation, we already have preferred vendors. The team has worked with us to use those.
We've recently launched the landing page, and I’m still working through the backend to launch the official page. The team is still involved and helping me with the backend.
What is the team composition?
I've mostly interacted with three teammates: Josh, the CEO, Rutvi, their design engineer, and their developer.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found ChopDawg.com through Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent between $25,000 and $35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We kicked off the project in November 2024, and it’s ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I've shared the design and development work with our internal teams, including our legal, marketing, and senior leadership teams. Everyone has liked the design and messaging. We've sent them some brief documents outlining the messaging we want to convey on the website. The team has helped us to wordsmith and condense the verbiage to hone in on the direct messaging we're trying to get across to our end users. Our collaboration has been great so far.
They've provided a flexible payment option where you can pay either in multiple installments or get a little bit of a discount if you pay for the services upfront. Since this is a smaller project for Southwire, we decided to take that first option to save a little bit of money. So we did pay for everything upfront. It was a little bit of a risk on our side. Still, it has paid off, and they've been great collaborators.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
The project was initially slated for five months. We've had some setbacks, such as getting some internal approvals before moving forward on certain things. However, there's been nothing on their side.
They're very collaborative and have delivered on time and within budget. The team is very responsive. We have weekly meetings, and they've set up a Slack communication channel. We've also set up a weekly call during the design phase and a call every two weeks during the development phase.
Everyone has been positive, respectful, and a great collaboration team. If I have a question, I can reach out directly to them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive things are their communication and flexibility. We're a fairly large company with over 9,000 employees. As a result, we have many processes in place and have to get certain approvals. They have been very responsive and flexible with us.
Josh has come on and given a presentation about the website to a review board. He answered any questions and was more than willing to do that. Having direct access to the CEO and his employees is unheard of.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything I'd change. They've been very responsive.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come with an open mind and your documents. Leave room for collaboration. The team has taken my feedback and given their feedback on why certain things need to change. Through that, we've built a robust website that end users will happily use.

client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of marketing and project management at an alternative fuel distributor in California. We supply E85 gas stations, which is a renewable American-made fuel that is 80% cleaner than gasoline.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
When I started working at my company six years ago, we didn't have solid branding or a website. We're a small niche company that was growing quickly and didn't have the resources to strategize and create our branding guidelines. Our logo wasn't the best, so we contacted ChopDawg.com to redesign it and implement a new branding identity. We also needed to redesign our website and application.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com has redesigned our logo and overall branding guidelines, delivering a new branding book. The team has updated all our visuals, including gas stations and digital and traditional media. We work collaboratively, and I've told the team what I want to achieve and why, and they've come up with ideas on how to do it. I rely heavily on the team's expertise. The team has supported our brand design, including decals, print-out materials, and brochures.
ChopDawg.com has also designed the wireframes of our mobile app and website using Figma, but we haven't launched them yet. The team completed the design wireframes this week and is now in the development process.
What is the team composition?
I work with four teammates from ChopDawg.com. Joshua (CEO) was my initial contact. We walked through the project scope, and once we finalized it, I moved on to Tammy (Chief Experience Officer), who set me up with a project manager and Melisa (UX Designer).
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found ChopDawg.com on Clutch. I interviewed around 15 companies, and I knew ChopDawg.com was the best fit right off the bat. Joshua was very dynamic. I explained to him I wasn't familiar with development projects and that our company was small and didn't have many resources. I needed to work with a service provider who could understand our needs and propose ideas alongside me. How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $40,000 on branding and $64,000 on app and website development, bringing our overall budget to over $110,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with ChopDawg.com in the second week of January 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We've presented our pitch to test groups of consumers from various ages, including racing professionals. Our consumers adore our branding idea and the direction our brand is taking. I've also had to present the branding to our whole company, including the executive team and our financial partners, who are third parties. Everybody is on the same page. Our new branding is visually striking and more aligned with what we're trying to achieve.
Our entire team is excited about the new features of the app and website. I'm no longer embarrassed by our company's branding when I present it at conferences.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com is excellent, and I couldn't have asked for better service. The team is patient with me since I handle several portions of my company, and I've had to cancel meetings at the last minute or arrive late. ChopDawg.com has held my hand all the way. I have weekly Zoom meetings with the project manager, and we collaborate through text messages, phone calls, Slack, email, Figma, and Google Drive.
ChopDawg.com accommodates the tools I can use since I travel most of the time and don't always have my laptop. The team is flexible to the more convenient channels for me and has allowed me to choose among different communication options. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to highlight Melisa's work. She has been phenomenal and understood my needs even though she wasn't familiar with our industry. Melisa has come up with dynamic ideas and presented different design options. She thinks outside the box, and her work shows a thorough thought process.
I initially told Joshua I couldn't dedicate many resources to micromanaging the team and that I needed to work with a team that adapts to my schedule. Melisa is incredibly flexible and works with me daily, and I couldn't ask for a better partner.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We've broken up the two projects since our company's owner wasn't sure to initially give all the projects to one service provider. The team had to prove themselves for the first part of the project, and we decided to move on with them. ChopDawg.com has delivered everything I've asked for and more.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have any negative feedback for ChopDawg.com.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I suggest trusting the process and going with the flow because ChopDawg.com understands their industry. Joshua has done a lot of research about our industry, and if you allow the team to build up your ideas, you'll have the best result. Every design the team has delivered has a thought process that considers the end user and my brief in mind.
The team is thoughtful about the required functionalities and our goals to the point where every feature is justified, and the team explains what it's trying to achieve. The team understands what I want and brings it to the table. I suggest being less micromanaging and trusting them.

How many teammates from ChopDawg.com were assigned to this project?
2-5 Employees
Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Chop Dawg and I were able to construct a scope of work that perfectly encapsulates the early vision of Reelvo. It is a very unique app with currently no direct imitations in the market, so it is not the simplest MVP to construct. The app contains feature elements of:
Timed video release
Video taking
Central content feed
Creation of groups
User profiles
Most notably is the group reels feature, where you and your friends can combine your weekly experiences into one cohesive narrative, showcasing everyone's perspectives. Nobody can see what has been added to the group until a set timer expires. Chop Dawg provided me with a detailed estimated timeline consisting of information regarding the design period, development period, and performance/beta testing period.
Additionally, Joshua (CEO) has been very attentive to detail in listening to me and has done a great job implementing additions to the scope I've requested. I have been very impressed with the organizational efficiency of this company and their ability to construct an excellent scope, timeline, and system, as well as provide helpful advice regarding operating a mobile app business.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We've spent a large portion of time on design, which is very important to me when I think about how I want a users' first impression to be. Through extensive modification, feedback, contemplating alternatives and more, Chop Dawg has been able to deliver me a UI design I'm very excited about. We are at the tail end of this period now and are about to begin development. I have to give a lot of credit to my project manager Jason and designer Brian who have done a great job.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Yes, Chop Dawg is very timely and attentive. They have not been late to a single one of our dozens of online meetings. On top of this, we've managed to get ahead of schedule and are on pace to get through the design phase earlier than expected.
After meetings, Brian my designer always makes instant design adjustments within the next day, making it easy for me to give feedback throughout the rest of the week. Everyone I've worked with so far has been very attentive to my ideas, feedback, and preferences and has been very helpful in offering advice or getting back to my questions as soon as possible.
What was your primary form of communication with ChopDawg.com?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I find ChopDawg.com's quickness impressive; they always get back to me within the same hour I send an email or text. You can tell Joshua is very keen on maintaining good relationships with his clients and that focus spills down onto the rest of the employees at chop dawg. They're always very polite, articulate, and personable. I think they've got a really great company culture.
Are there any areas for improvement or something ChopDawg.com could have done differently?
So far, I don't really have any complaints. There are times that having virtual meetings instead of in person can cause miscommunications, but chop dawg is very good at resolving these issues when we end up not being on the same page. Like I said, they are very attentive to detail and are good listeners. So when something becomes misconstrued over call, they always prioritize figuring out the miscommunication before moving forward.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-founder at Blessed Quest, a mobile navigational app.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We engaged ChopDawg.com to produce our prototype.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com designed and developed our prototype. For around three months, we met with their design team every week to get wireframes and high-fidelity designs via Figma. The app was designed to be compatible with iOS and Android devices, and their team worked on navigational features for it.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Rutvi (UX Designer) and Rafael (Technical Project Manager).
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
We found ChopDawg.com on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
Our investment was around $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from December 2023–May 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com delivered our prototype.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
They delivered the project on time and budget. To communicate, we used Zoom, email, Slack, and phone calls.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Rutvi was truly creative and helpful.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication skills and enthusiasm were their great strengths.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They were great at speaking English but hard to understand at times. Rafael, for instance, had a strong accent, so we’d go back and forth to understand what he was saying. To be fair, this wasn’t their fault, and we spoke English differently.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask questions about every aspect of your prototype.

A ticket selling company hired ChopDawg.com to design the UI/UX of their mobile app. This involved designing each part of the app, creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes, and performing tests on the app.
ChopDawg.com’s designs were approved by internal stakeholders and met the client’s expectations. The team did everything well and addressed any revisions promptly. They met timeline requirements and efficiently kept everything on track while ensuring the product was exactly what the client wanted.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a company that sells tickets for events. Our business model has a fixed-fee structure, but we donate half of the fees to charities and nonprofits.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We hired ChopDawg.com to work on the UI/UX design of our upcoming mobile app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com and our staff had a pretty straightforward approach to the project. We initially went back and forth to determine the scope of work and timeline until we got to a place where everyone was comfortable. Then, we kicked off the project with a 3–4-month timeline. They started collecting what we had in terms of branding and design to get some inspiration and create a mood board.
From there, they started designing each page and methodology behind the app. They figured out which buttons would go where and what the user journey should look like. After that, we moved on to low-fidelity development, laying out key elements without adding much in the way of aesthetics or functionality.
ChopDawg.com then built high-fidelity wireframes; they went more in-depth in nailing down the app’s copy and imagery. We worked toward what the finished app would look like. Then, we wrapped everything up with testing the product and making final adjustments. By the end, we had a no-code demo version of the app, which we could use for meetings with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
What is the team composition?
Around five teammates from ChopDawg.com were involved throughout the process. We worked with Josh (CEO) on the project’s scope, timeline, and costs. After that, we collaborated with their project manager and designer. Micah (CTO & Co-COO) also gave his inputs on structuring questions, workflows, and the setup for the development stage. Tamerah (Brand Experience Officer) handled our communications and administrative needs.
ChopDawg.com was recommended to us by a good friend of mine. We met with them and were happy with their approach, methods, and communication, so we hired them for the project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $15,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from December 2023–March 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com’s UI/UX designs were viewed and approved by our CTO. Overall, we were happy with the quality of their work. Everything was done quite well, and they quickly implemented the revisions and updates we requested. We were excited with the way the app looked and functioned, and it encapsulated what we were trying to deliver to our customers.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com was ahead of deadlines, and they managed the project in a methodical way. They stuck to the scope of work and went above and beyond to ensure the finished product was exactly what we wanted.
We had weekly meetings to keep everything on track. Our communications happened via Slack and Figma. If we needed anything, Josh was always available and responsive. In fact, all of them were great — the entire process was straightforward and comprehensive. Their communication was strong at every point.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with their ability to think on their feet. For example, there were some areas where the ChopDawg.com team did extra work to help us avoid issues once we moved to the development stage. I was pleased with the fact that they gave us extra inputs that weren’t included in the scope. Overall, it was amazing to have a partner with the ability to do what was right even if it was outside of the agreed-upon scope.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any. We were happy with their workflow and outputs.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Follow the process and have open and honest dialogue with ChopDawg.com from the start. It’s difficult to design and develop platforms, especially if you haven’t ironed everything out yet. We’re fortunate enough to work with teammates who are detail-oriented and ensure that every t is crossed and every i is dotted.
In other words, before engaging with ChopDawg.com, think through everything you’re going to ask them. This will ensure they’ll do their job properly.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a program manager at a university.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ChopDawg.com?
We needed to create a mobile application prototype.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
ChopDawg.com was responsible for the UI/UX design and development of our app prototype. The first part of the project involved detailed scoping, and we started having weekly calls with the team. We had a weekly iterative design process, where the team used primarily Figma, and then ChopDawg.com developed the prototype for iOS and Android devices. The app aimed to create a personalized wellness experience for users to learn about staying healthy.
What is the team composition?
We worked most closely with two teammates from ChopDawg.com: a project manager and Lauren (UI/UX Designer). The team's director of technology was involved in the initial scoping, and the CEO stayed close throughout the project.
How did you come to work with ChopDawg.com?
I found ChopDawg.com online while searching for service providers in our area.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with ChopDawg.com from December 2023–April 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ChopDawg.com successfully delivered the requested prototype and met my high expectations.
How did ChopDawg.com perform from a project management standpoint?
ChopDawg.com delivered work on time and on budget. We had weekly Zoom meetings and started to use Slack; however, I didn't like it, and the team accommodated and switched to email communication. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to highlight Lauren's work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was mostly impressed by ChopDawg.com's ability to listen to our team. The team always had time for us to give our thoughts on what we wanted.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything for ChopDawg.com to improve.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I suggest potential customers ask for ChopDawg.com's opinion. There were a number of times when we led the design down a bad path, and by asking for the team's opinion, we brought the project back to a better path.
