I’m the CEO of a cannabis beverage company.

What challenge were you trying to address with CCD Innovation?

We went to them for product development services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CCD Innovation helped us in the development of a non-alcoholic, cannabis-infused cocktail and beverage line. They provided us with strategy and culinary insight. The team has what’s called a chef’s council, which is a global network of world-renowned chefs and food scientists. With them and their resources, we designed and developed four unique beverages.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around 10 or more people. There were food scientists, culinary insight analysts, product developers, and an account manager.

How did you come to work with CCD Innovation?

We found them via a Google search. Their tenure and legacy drew us to them, as well as the chemistry, diligence, and credibility of the team.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost is around $125,000 at this point.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

In focus group testing, the beverages have been very well received almost universally. The genetic makeup of the beverages is sound as well: they preserve well and do everything we need them to do to be able to sell them to the public. 

How did CCD Innovation perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been fantastic, they’re absolutely first class. We mostly communicate over email, but they’re always available over the phone when we need them. Their response time is very good.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is very good, as is their diligence. CCD Innovation is very passionate; you can tell they really care about what they do. They wanted our product to be as good as it could possibly be.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Provide them with a clear brief and as much insight on the market opportunity as possible.
