I’m the owner of a guitar company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Caymanite Productions?

We needed help with our marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They produced a 75-second-long commercial for us that will be used on our website. It features me working on a guitar in various stages to show the handcrafted nature of our instruments.

They spent a lot of time with me beforehand to learn how guitars are built, as well as about our audience. Photography of some of the guitars for the website was also included.

What is the team composition?

I worked with four people: one director of photography one director, and two filmmakers. They also handled the other assignments, like lighting.

How did you come to work with Caymanite Productions?

They came to me from a mutual friend. Their prior work seemed like a good fit for what we were trying to do; they specialized in documentary-type films, and that’s the kind of video I wanted.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2021–January 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I don’t have any statistics, as our video just went up, but everyone who has seen the video loves it. One of the other businesses I work with asked me where I got something that looks that good filmed in Chicago by a Chicago company, as that quality of work usually only comes from the coasts.

How did Caymanite Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed exceedingly well. Their team was responsive, courteous, creative, and professional. Being mindful of everyone’s time was a real plus as well. I can’t say enough good things about them. As a client who knows just enough about filmmaking to be dangerous, they managed my expectations very well, and without ego regarding their process. We listened to all the ideas in the room and came to best decision together, as client and contractor.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a great value-for-service ratio. Caymanite Productions earned every penny of what they charged.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have agreed to do my video for free.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell them what you want and be adaptable. That’s what I did, and they delivered exactly what I expected.

I’m the head of finance and strategy for a tech marketplace startup. We have experts offering opportunities and we have students who can go to our website and apply to the expert of their choosing for a chance to become their protege or to be reviewed using the experts’ coaching or teaching method.

What challenge were you trying to address with Caymanite Productions?

We needed a company that could provide video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Caymanite Productions to produce a promotional video that would become the landing page for our website. We started the engagement by discussing our objectives and plans for the shoot one month before the day of the actual shoot.

Armin (Director) directed the shoot, set up the studio, and provided all of the necessary audio-visual equipment for us, but we did bring some guitars and other musical equipment to use as props. We shot videos of our artists just jamming and having fun together.

We shot everything in one day. Caymanite Productions then handled all post-production work and ultimately delivered a 30-45 second video.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Armin (Director) and a couple of cameramen and videographers from Caymanite Productions.

How did you come to work with Caymanite Productions?

Armin is a friend of our CEO.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $12,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started and finished in August 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The shots were exactly what we were looking for, and the final video received positive feedback from visitors. It’s definitely great content, which we’ll hopefully repurpose sometime in the future.

How did Caymanite Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Caymanite Productions did very well in terms of project management — they were on time and on budget. We primarily communicated through email, but we had a couple of Zoom meetings leading up to the actual shoot day. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d say working with uncertainty was one of Caymanite Productions’ strongest suits. We were impressed with Armin’s ability to leverage his experience as a director and videographer to take our fairly ambiguous outline and concept and deliver the exact shots that we wanted.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our engagement felt very cordial and relaxed throughout, but I could see how that could come off as unprofessional to other people. It wasn’t an issue with us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust their expertise in getting you the shots that you want. Make sure not to be too overbearing when you're working with them and just let them do what they’re best at.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO + Founder of a female-run creative agency based in Chicago and LA. We provide branding + marketing services to clients all over the country.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Caymanite Productions, and what were your goals?

We hired Caymanite Productions to direct + shoot a series of videos, ranging from 15-90 seconds long, for the purpose of rebranding and marketing one of our LA clients. Additionally, we hired Caymanite Productions to shoot trendy, but educational content for a local dental practice that was in the midst of expanding.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for someone who was clear in communication, well organized and thoughtful in the creative process.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We did everything from ideation, pre-production, shoot, and post production with Armin. He was very communicative and professional in his delivery.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked closely with Armin and it was a true pleasure. He is a creative genius, understands directive and takes feedback well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Both projects became the standard of excellence in all content shot moving forward. In my opinion, that's the ultimate compliment and review of work.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Armin is very organized. He adapted to our process, but made organized suggestions via workable documents. He follows up quickly to both email and text.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to go above and beyond for the execution and completion of the projects was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think there are always area for improvement, but in both of these cases, Armin did an outstanding job!

I am the founder of ALTAR, a women’s social and spiritual gathering place in Chicago that also has an online community.

What challenge were you trying to address with Caymanite Productions?

We hired Caymanite Productions to video and photograph our grand opening weekend. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Caymanite Productions’ team filmed and photographed our Saturday launch and Sunday workshop. Once those events were complete, they edited and digitized the photos for us. Caymanite Productions also created a one-minute commercial that highlighted the launch, along with its companion art exhibit and the community as a whole. They also filmed a podcast for us and edited the video footage.

I worked with Armin (Director) and a photographer affiliated with his team. 

How did you come to work with Caymanite Productions?

A mutual friend, and Armin’s former professor, introduced me to Caymanite Productions. I chose to work with Caymanite Productions because of their creative deliverables; Armin’s documentary filmmaking background distinguished him from the competition. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested $4,000 with Caymanite Productions.

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with Caymanite Productions from December 2021–January 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Caymanite Productions delivered 180 photographs and our commercial within three weeks of our launch. Caymanite Productions’ team was very professional; they listened to what we needed and were unobtrusive at the launch. The final deliverables were outstanding and exactly what we wanted. 

How did Caymanite Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

There wasn’t much project management needed during our engagement, but Caymanite Productions showed up on time and completed everything they promised. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Many other videographers provide standard corporate promotional fare, but Caymanite Productions delivered a final product that was aesthetically beautiful. Every piece of the video Caymanite Productions created was a work of art. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing for them to improve; I am very satisfied with my experience with Caymanite Productions. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Potential customers need to be very clear with Caymanite Productions about their expected outcome. That way, the deliverables are exactly what the customer envisions.
