What challenge were you trying to address with Captivision Media?

We hired Captivision for their web development and video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Captivision has built our website from scratch and operated its backend. They’ve written content for it based on the videos we’ve provided. On top of that, they handle its SEO components. The website is going to be de-listed soon, but they still provide maintenance services for it.

Moreover, their resources have produced videos for us. The videos are filmed in different locations; sometimes, we film in our studio or office. They also film at their office with a green screen studio. Their members handle everything from the audio mixing to the editing. After the videos are produced, they help us distribute them through MailChimp.

I mainly work with James (Founder), their COO, and another person. 

How did you come to work with Captivision Media?

I found Captivision on the internet. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested close to $50,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged them in September 2018, and the partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our primary goal is to have a good internet presence so our prospects can look at our website after meeting us. As a result, I don’t have much quantitative feedback for the engagement. However, the feedback from our clients and prospects has been positive in terms of the website and the videos. 

How did Captivision Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Captivision has met our deadlines and stayed on budget. To communicate, we use emails, texts, and calls. For the videos, they use Frame.io, where they upload videos and I can insert messages about edits and changes. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the size of their office. They’re a small team, which is cool to me. Everyone on their team knows who we are and what’s happening in our projects. As a result, there isn’t any miscommunication. It’s easy to talk to them about anything. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t. They’ve done a good job. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get to know the Captivision team and paint a picture of what you want. Makes sure they’re receptive and understanding of your needs before you engage.

I’m the communications manager for Psilera Inc., a pharmaceutical R&D company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Captivision Media?

We needed a company that could produce a series of videos for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we first launched as a startup in 2021, we had Captivision Media produce a get-to-know-us video, which we put on our website and attached to our social media posts. They did a great job, so we asked them to come back recently to do an update and a shorter version of the original video since we’ve grown and have more employees now. Both times Captivision Media even helped us do a phone-like social media promotional video for the company. We put the video on our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter channels.

The video primarily focused on our team and what makes us unique. Captivision Media did a great job of doing some preliminary interviews with our staff and founders to figure out what would be the best method forward when we did the actual interviews. We had them come to our lab spaces so they could film the scientists doing some things for the B-roll. On the day of the shoot, they brought in a camera assistant, hired a photographer and coordinated headshots for us, and hired a hair and makeup artist as well. It was a wonderfully seamless process — we got our hair and makeup done, got our headshots, and sat down for the interview.

We just finished the project, but we definitely plan on reaching out to them for any of our needs or as we have more opportunities.

We found Captivision Media through a referral. Our founders actually contracted them before I came on board.

We’ve spent around $2,500 so far.

We started working together in January 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Captivision Media was able to capture and convey the heart behind the science that we have. We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our colleagues and other professionals within the industry on how heartfelt a lot of our projects and communications come across, which is unique in the pharmaceutical industry.

How did Captivision Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Captivision Media has been great in terms of project management. They’re really great at following up and making sure that we feel like we were in charge of the project as much as they were and that our input is just as valid. We also appreciate how transparent they are about the pricing and timeline of the project.

We typically communicate through Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Captivision Media’s ability to listen to our vision and get to the heart of what the video is really trying to convey and deliver a customized video that matches our brand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we have no complaints. They’ve done great work. If anything, it would be great if they had a larger repertoire of other vendors to choose from. But they’re growing their business and figuring out who they want to work with, too.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just be very upfront about the end result that you want, and they will fill in the gaps.
