The project was titled Astro Intruders — a virtual reality (VR) game developed for the Meta Quest 3 headset. We engaged the team as subcontractors to handle core programming tasks and help bring the experience to life.

Their responsibilities included:

- Implementing key gameplay mechanics specific to VR interaction
- Integrating 3D assets and animations into the Unity-based VR environment
- Optimizing performance for the Meta Quest 3 hardware
- Handling input systems, physics interactions, and user interface within VR
- Supporting debugging, testing, and iteration cycles

We needed help with backend development, QA, and management of frontend and design freelancers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CampStudio has provided backend development, QA, and management of frontend and design freelancers. The team has developed a database for a custom advertising plugin for the Bingo project. Additionally, they’ve done full backend Unity development for the DareTribe project and organized the implementation of gameplay features for the Coindogs project.

I know three different teammates from CampStudio that I speak to directly from time to time.

I found CampStudio through an online search. They had the best offer for the project I requested.

We’ve spent around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

CampStudio has finished milestones on time and delivered no critical bugs or problems after testing. Some of the milestones they’ve completed on time are the hotfix bingo ads when we needed to add an additional tracking system, adding advertising mediation in Bingo, core DareTribe development, Coindogs in-game features, Coindogs telegram integration, and Coindogs new logic update.

How did CampStudio perform from a project management standpoint?

CampStudio has good responsiveness, and they deliver everything on time. We communicate via messengers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed with CampStudio’s good communication, fast reaction, and honest answers if something goes wrong. They also have a fair price and deliver good-quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are a lot of things I understand can be done better on previous projects.
