SherpaDesk requires that quality assurance be performed independently from the development group to ensure objectivity and accuracy.  Design & Development Phase Test at the unit and module level as code is written. Verify both manual and automated tests are functioning. Ensure security considerations are validated during testing (e.g., data handling, access controls). Integration & Testing Phase Conduct comprehensive system validation to confirm that all functional requirements identified during system analysis are met. Perform integration testing across modules and environments to detect interface defects. QA testers act as independent reviewers, separate from the dev team. Execute final security assessments before release. Verify all reported issues are resolved prior to deployment . 2. QA Environment and Access Controls SherpaDesk needed help enforcing separation between development, test, and production environments. QA testers: Work exclusively in the test environment, not in production. Document and track all testing activities and results in accordance with the requirements.

We are working on a web application that was initiated 7 years ago and we didn't have people in-house with very good experience in application testing. We have in the past worked with other companies like CalibreCode for one-shot job but this time we wanted to build a real team and real collaboration/relationship to be able to improve and have a solid product. Testing our product required a dedicated team with both manual and automated testing.

We wanted CalibreCode to be able to adapt to our current workflow while being able to suggest improvements to improve testing and so the quality of the product. Today CalibreCode is responsible for both manual and automated testing of our application. This goes from writing test scenarios to executing and automating them with Selenium and CircleCI. The CalibreCode team also works with us to validate the roadmap on the features to be tested manually or automated for the future.

Throughout the project, 5-6 people worked with us: manual testing engineers or automated testing engineers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since the beginning of the project, we have made many changes to our dev process to improve them, today we work with a regular version delivery format and each version is tested by the QA team before delivery. Automated or manual tests have succeeded in increasing the quality of the product as a whole and even sometimes avoiding major problems in production thanks to the quality process in place.

CalibreCode Solutions Ltd has always been able to support us in meeting the deadline required by our customers. CalibreCode team members took part in a few overtime hours to ensure that everything could be delivered on time when the timings were a bit tight. Concretely the CalibreCode team members are part of our technical team. As tools, we use Slack, JIRA, Testrails, Github and CircleCI to collaborate.

We really appreciate working with CalibreCode, because like us they really want to improve (with a continuous improvement spirit).
