Cadlete Designs handled the product concept development and prototyping for the decorative sleeve of our aluminum Bukhoor stand. The scope of work included exploring multiple creative design directions, developing both partial and full-body sleeve concepts, and refining the forms around organic curves and smooth transitions inspired by natural elements. The team worked to balance aesthetic appeal with practical manufacturability, ensuring the designs could move forward into prototyping and eventual production. The prototypes were especially valuable in letting us assess real-world form, surface quality, and fit with the aluminum core, rather than relying solely on CAD renderings.

The primary measurable outcome was the development of multiple viable design concepts and physical prototypes for the Bukhoor stand sleeve. Cadlete Designs explored several form directions and successfully translated the selected concepts into 3D-printed prototypes, giving us a tangible way to evaluate proportions, fit, surface quality, and overall visual appeal. Beyond the deliverables themselves, the clearest measure of success was the project's progression: it moved the product from an initial functional aluminum burner into a fully defined decorative concept backed by validated physical prototypes. This gave us a clear, confirmed direction for further development and eventual manufacturing - turning an open-ended design challenge into a concrete, production-ready path forward.

The project successfully transformed the initial saffron farming concept into a defined, engineered product system. A major outcome was the development of a complete 3D CAD model and system architecture that brought the mechanical structure, environmental controls, lighting, airflow, and other components together into one compact unit.The resulting design provided us with a clear foundation for prototyping, testing, and future manufacturing. It also helped establish a more practical and scalable product format for indoor saffron cultivation.As for metrics, the main benchmarks were focused on compactness, effective use of internal space, integration of the environmental control components, and overall readiness for prototyping. We evaluated how efficiently the system could accommodate the required temperature, humidity, airflow, and lighting components while maintaining a practical footprint.Another key benchmark was whether the design could be translated into a functional prototype without a major redesign. The final CAD development provided a clear and coordinated product architecture, making it suitable for the next stage of prototyping and testing.Overall, the completed engineering design gave us a much clearer and more coordinated product structure, reducing the need for major design changes before moving into the prototyping phase.
