Cadlete Designs handled the product concept development and prototyping for the decorative sleeve of our aluminum Bukhoor stand. The scope of work included exploring multiple creative design directions, developing both partial and full-body sleeve concepts, and refining the forms around organic curves and smooth transitions inspired by natural elements. The team worked to balance aesthetic appeal with practical manufacturability, ensuring the designs could move forward into prototyping and eventual production. Key Deliverables: Multiple concept variations - several distinct design directions exploring organic, fluid forms for the decorative sleeve Finalized 3D CAD designs - refined digital models translating the selected creative direction into manufacturable designs 3D-printed prototypes - physical prototypes produced using multicolor and silk filaments to validate form, proportions, and finish These deliverables allowed us to move from an initial functional aluminum burner to a defined decorative product concept with validated physical prototypes, giving us a clear direction for further development and manufacturing. The prototypes were especially valuable in letting us assess real-world form, surface quality, and fit with the aluminum core, rather than relying solely on CAD renderings.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The primary measurable outcome was the development of multiple viable design concepts and physical prototypes for the Bukhoor stand sleeve. Cadlete Designs explored several form directions and successfully translated the selected concepts into 3D-printed prototypes, giving us a tangible way to evaluate proportions, fit, surface quality, and overall visual appeal. Beyond the deliverables themselves, the clearest measure of success was the project's progression: it moved the product from an initial functional aluminum burner into a fully defined decorative concept backed by validated physical prototypes. This gave us a clear, confirmed direction for further development and eventual manufacturing - turning an open-ended design challenge into a concrete, production-ready path forward.
