Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the head of technology partnerships for DualSoft, an IT company that works on a platform for gambling and sportsbook betting. We have more than 100 employees. We're working on a platform for gambling and sportsbook betting.

We also have an infrastructure, as well as development and support teams. We have support. I used to be the company's CTO, but my current position is more business-oriented, though still a high-level managerial role. I'm responsible for vendors, consultants, and related areas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Tailors?

We hired Tech Tailors as a consultancy company in the field of QA. One of our goals was to build up our QA department since we were understaffed and lacked some processes and automation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Tailors provided us with remote QA and testing services. The team offered off-site services because we aren't in the same city. We worked with them for two phases of five months each. They helped us build a framework and processes for automation of tests for the front- and backend of our applications. During that period, Tech Tailors onboarded and educated our teammates on how to work in that environment and defined the role of QA.

What is the team composition?

We worked with four teammates from Tech Tailors, including Milic. The other teammates changed from phases one to two, but Milic was constant.

How did you come to work with Tech Tailors?

Tech Tailors reached out to us, and we had an introductory call. We figured out that they were working with a company we knew, so we asked for a recommendation from them. In the end, both Tech Tailors' call and the recommendation we got made us choose them.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested €42,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July 2024 to April 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We didn't have any automated tests before, so we measured the success of the project by going through the plan we made. Tech Tailors delivered all items we agreed on for phases one and two. We changed the agreement because we saw what we needed and didn't, and Tech Tailors delivered.

Internally, we shortened the time we spent testing the client applications. We covered that part of our system with Tech Tailors' work and configured the framework and processes. Since the team also offered consultancy, they trained our internal teams.

How did Tech Tailors perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Tailors met our deadlines, stayed on budget, and we usually communicated via Google Meet and Slack. We used Jira on our side, and they also used Jira on their side. We had a task list of things to do and went over it during our calls. Tech Tailors held reporting meetings as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Tailors knew their domain and were analytical when we started the project. They were also flexible since not everything was visible at the beginning of the project, and we lacked testing and documentation. Tech Tailors was analytical and helped structure our deliverables and deadlines.

Overall, the team was professional, and we had a great relationship with them. Tech Tailors was good at explaining and arguing, and we had no conflicts or misunderstandings. Their communication was smooth and pleasant, and they delivered their promises.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren't any areas for improvement. When we began our engagement, we found our way to work together, gave each other feedback, and worked out everything on both sides.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure you explain your domain and provide Tech Tailors with as much documentation as possible. For QA, it's important to understand the big picture, not just the small pieces, and to integrate them in the company.

If you need to set up the process and build the competence of your teammates, give Tech Tailors more power to manage those people, which we should've done in the beginning.

Let them be fully in charge of QA, which could be more effective. Tech Tailors has a good way of working, good setup processes, and high employee standards.

Also provided a framework for agile project management, release management and ticketing

Extremely flexible and easy to work with.  Changing requirements and scope creep are handled with professionalism and understanding.  The experience the team brings to the table helps us get to the best solution possible

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a new product to offer our customers and a next generation experience for our back office team.  We also have a solution that we can build upon and have plans to add many more features with our partners at TechTailors in the near future

Always responsive.  Regular standup meetings, stakeholder meetings and retrospectives.  

All work managed via workitems on their agile board, and all members of our team were contributors to the board.

Work delivered per the estimates given, and if scope changed we all agreed on the new delivery dates

The level of involvement in our project and the feeling we have that Tech Tailors is really part of our company.  We have a great relationship with them

We discuss process improvements all the time, and we constantly adjust how we do things to be more efficient.  Our lines of communcation are open and honest.  We were very happy with their work.

The scope of work was quality assurance and software testing. The key deliverables include:

• set up framework for test cases management and maintenance;
• create functional and non-functional testing plans;
• develop processes for automated tests as a part of our DevOps, CI/DI;
• run the tests (both manually or automated), do regression testing to ensure the software meets the highest Quality Standards;
• system acceptance testing + production/post release acceptance;

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The drastic outcomes from the project, that demonstrate the success are enumerated below, even though are not limited to this list:

• set up framework for test cases management and acceptance;
• increased quality standards by efficient implementation of manual and automated tests;
• saved costs on manual testing, while increased speed of acceptance with an implemented automated flow;
• we are launching products faster, and better, without any sacrifise in quality.

Speaking of the project management, we had it originally driven in-house. With the further collaboration, we realized that Quality Assurance processes can be fully steered by Tech Tailors Company, and they can consult us on a better workflow and framework for QA. The handover to a different consultant was performed as smoothly as it gets, and onboarding was fully seamless for us.
