They took my money - I have no app and no website. What they built didn't work. It had tons of compliancy issues and I have no access to anything.

When I asked for a refund, the owner Vinod said he has no money to give me and is now refusing to answer my emails, messages on WhatsApp and LinkedIn. I have waited months to get a response and have had no answer. I'm not sure what else to do, so I am starting here. I filed a complaint with BBB and will be hiring a lawyer.

Our goal was to build a mobile app that supported trainers in their quest to grow their business. We wanted to build tech solutions for common problems in running a training business while also using the platform to educate athletes.

I had a couple meetings with Vinod and I was impressed with his understanding of the training industry. I also appreciated his genuine conversation. I could tell that he took pride in his business and would be an awesome partner in building what I envisioned.

Because this project evolved through out the building process it wasn't possible to settle on accurate timelines. As for the foundation build of the app, timelines were met and I had no issues with the team when we made adjustments based off of any feedback we received.

Early stage I worked directly with Vinod the owner and after the project was at a stage where a project manager could take over, I've begun to work with Priyank more.

We are about to soft launch and I am excited about where the product is. Looking forward to the measurable data that will be coming soon!

The team used messaging apps to communicate which I appreciate as it's much easier for me to make quick communications. They are awesome in that they make themselves so accessible so I never feel that my project is not a priority for the team.

It goes a long way as a founder because you invest so much time and money into a vision so it means a lot when you work with people who you feel value what you're doing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I just love their ability to be flexible and to find solutions to make sure they can execute goals. They never once made me feel like something was impossible to deliver. On multiple occasion's they over delivered. They are extremely hard workers and they've consistently gone above an beyond for me as a client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I am extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to work with this company. They are genuinely good people and have a business that truly has helped bring my vision to reality. I've really enjoyed my experience and will continue to work with this awesome team!

"The scope was to add the new features and functionality to the Indhan Application and Admin. Majorly it involves usage of the distance calculation traveled by our team on the field. Make the application run from the local DB if the user-side device does not have internet available on the phone. Apart from this, there are several other sections as well that requires development to gather more data from our Marketing team in various working segments and make the app more user-friendly to use by them.

Our project got developed using the Agile approach. This team has all suitable tools for project management and communication management. They followed the SCRUM practices in our project. It was easy for our team connect with the assigned Project Manager for any discussions.

Byte Sigma's team has a zeal to identify the solution for any challenges. We had some technical challenges on the server side. This challenge was not in the project scope. But the Byte Sigma team worked together with our in-house server team to reach a better solution. They have got our server-side issue fixed with their zeal.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have found this team to be available online for any scheduled meetings. But when it comes to scheduling a face-to-face meeting at our office they prefer scheduling it online. Though we had several meetings done at our office with this team but we expect more such meetings.

We selected this vendor based on the technical knowledge they shared with us during our initial calls. We had decided to go with vendor because we identified them as experienced and technically strong team.

SOW: The purpose is for communication and branding. To easily communicate to the user who visits our website about our company, achievements, and our products. And can fulfill the branding part. The website is easy to load, and run on all the platforms—phone, laptop, tabs, etc.— and is simple. By simple it means that website is clutter-free. The person visiting the website can navigate the whole website easily. The person visiting the website can contact us easily.

A blog section Project Steps: They did the requirement gathering at first step. After finalizing the product requirements we finalized the wireframes. Followed by designing of the web pages. Then they did the responsive HTML development for the finalized designs. Meanwhile they have also started the development work. During the development work they implemented the responsive HTML as well. Followed by the development of the features and functionalities of the web portal.

They did the testing at their end and then send it for UAT. After UAT approval we the solution got live. In all the steps Byte Sigma team kept us updated. Key Deliverables Wireframes, Designs, Admin, Web Portal, Server Setup, and Maintenance Technologies used PHP, Wordpress, mysql, CDN, plugins, and custom developed plugins.

Byte Sigma team provided the deliverables as planned milestones. Every deliverable we received after their quality checks. We were amazed by their work. Byte Sigma supported our staff as well, to make them understand the Admin panel in greater detail. Their after delivery service was also excellent and supported us in our various marketing activities.

They took the Agile approach to work on our product. Byte Sigma used the Zoho sprints that made the product progress visibility very simple. They used the Zoho Cliq for communication. For real-time meetings, we used Google meet. With all these tools, communication became easy with the Byte Sigma team. Apart from these, the Project Manager was always available on phone calls. In terms of timeline, the Byte Sigma team completed the project as per the timeline. However, we requested them for other features that they addressed and developed in addition to the project timeline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This organization had an excellent experience in developing the products. They have an expert team in their department (design, development, testing, or Project Management). Their team suggests every possible idea to make the product the best in our domain. They supported us on the pointers in addition to the initial SOW. They are good at maintaining customer relationships. All these points make them unique in their domain. I loved to work with this team and will work on more projects with them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is currently is in MVP phase but have capabilities to handle around 0.5M of user base. We are in process of launching the next version of the application and targeting it to be completed within 5-6 days with feature of publisher, stories, campaign etc.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their team is too collaborative and always available for the support and assistance. We find good the journey with them till now and hoping a great business relation and future with them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Team management is the key of the company. These guys are too good in communications and technically as well, the team is too sound.

There is one thing that they should consider and I found till now: As sometime, unavailability of one person hamper the delivery of entire project, so they should have backups in terms of resources, so other can be applied over project if others are not available.

I'm the founding partner at Micah Lancaster Marketing & Productions LLC (MLXT). The company is into providing basketball training by trainer or trainers, Micah Lancaster. We sell online training tools worldwide for basketball players.

We wanted to build an application providing e-training features for our basketball players who were given coaching by Micah Lancaster. The app should be easy to use yet very structured.

The training module should be provided to players in a monthly dripping manner. So that we don't bombard our basketball players with a ton of information. Also, the app should include something which motivates players to use the app.

What were your goals for this project?

For now, our training is only limited to the US only and only 5% of our trainees are from overseas. We wanted to reach globally and build our own mobile platform seems to be a great idea to penetrate online sports coaching worldwide.

How did you select DARS ai?

I have already worked with Vinod as a freelancer and have already proved his skills to me but when I came to know that he started his own software development company, I had a meeting with him, and then he introduced me to a few of his team members.

My team & I were really impressed by their processes and passion for their work. Even after being a start-up company, we gave our project to DARS and they did exceptionally well and meet our expectations.

Once we selected DARS, we shared our requirement with them and shared details that we want to build a video tutorial mobile app for a basketball coach and players for their footwork movement, so also gave that app name FOOTWORK.

In an initial couple of weeks, we have a detailed discussion with the DARS team, and they understood our requirement very well and in the next 5 days, they came back to us with some mock screens and wireframe.

Those mock screens and wireframes are as per our expectations. In last I can say that the DARS team is passionate about their work and believe in delivering a quality product within the time frame.

What was the team composition?

The process starts with assigning the business analyst to lead to deeply study the initial project requirement, they did the market analysis and even interviewed us and our few players to understand the actual need of the project.

Later on, we worked with the Project Manager and Design Lead to finalize the UI/UX of the project. Once done then 2/ 3 developers and a QA automation developer were assigned as per the module development.

After launching the app we started receiving more than 100 new subscribers per month outside the US while is a great success.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Management of DARS is very professional especially for timeline and project quality, the project manager that we were assigned was easy to communicate with provided us frequent updates. He was always available to resolve end-user queries and providing them updates for their questions. We always received support in their odd hours as well for our critical delivery.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Vinod being a company owner also has many years of mobile application development experience as a programmer. I was amazed by the team experience and their inputs during various collaborations we did in past. Before starting a module we always used to go through with the final version draft that needs to be developed and do the quick brainstorming which saves a lot of our time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Well, the project took a little more time as expected but the final version and smooth launch were so pleasing that were appreciated our players and coaches for the product as it meets their expectations as well.

HI, I’M WARREN owner of Hoopology Training I played basketball all my life. I was a pretty good player but I was not very skilled. I would play morning to night and never got better. I was able to get over because of my athleticism. Needless to say, I was not successful on the collegiate level. I gave up on the game and became a basketball weekend warrior, still not skilled and less athletic. One day my 10 year old daughter decided to play basketball. While attending her practices I noticed something, the coaches were doing the exact same drills I did 20 years ago.

The same drills that didn't help me at all. I discovered coaches/trainers taught and trained things they did. Here’s the problem. The game of basketball has changed but the way the game is taught has not changed in decades. So I started assisting my daughter’s coaches. I was determined to develop a way to teach basketball skills. I went from assistant CYO coach to Head high school varsity coach with in 4 years. During those 4 years, I studied the best basketball trainers. I went to their seminars, workshops and clinics. I brought DVD’s and books from all the great coaches.

I was determined to come up with a way to train and teach kids skills and basketball IQ, everything I didn't have as a young player. After 15 years of teaching the game of basketball and basketball skill enhancement, I developed a way to make the average player good and make the good player great. I discovered the same strategies that grand master chess players, musicians, dancers and world class athletes use to achieve their greatness.

I loved the delivery that happened as per my expectation. A good engineering team got assigned to my project and supported me with every query and development steps.
