BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the principal photographer at Decoy Media. We offer a range of photography services including working at events, PR, portraits and property photography.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Brave New Beast?

We were asked by one of our clients to produce a short documentary piece about their company. We wanted control of the quality of the production so hired Brave New Beast to fulfil the project. They shot interviews and some really creative b-roll content that was cut together to tell a great story.

What were your goals for this project?

Our client wanted to tell the story of their brand via people in a non-corporate and approachable format.

How did you select this vendor?

We were recommended by a mutual client. We reviewed their work and met the team and decided that they would be a great fit.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Our client provided a brief for the project and we had some input to guide the content also. Brave New Beast advised on shooting additional content so that they could deliver not only the documentary but also a selection of social content to go with it. This not only provided extra value within budget but helped with the strategy of driving traffic to the main film.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The team provided a camera operator and a producer along with an assistant. This helped the shoot run on time and they were able to produce some stunningly creative shots. Our main contact oversaw the edit and we had some minor feedback from the client, the amendments were acted on within only 2 days.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As the video was for our client we don't know the figures but it had a great response and high engagement. By recommending a video team to them it also helped to solidify our business relationship by building more trust.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was all fast, they were available when we needed them. We can't fault them for anything.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We loved working with a team that really felt passionate about what they were doing visually. Between the three of them on the shoot they paid attention to every detail and it really shows in the final film.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything was great, we would love to work with them again.

What were your goals for this project?

The video is to be used for the online marketing content for Kuka

I have known, liked and trusted them for a few years.

As this was a collaborative project, We needed to make sure that the timings were right and there was no "down time" for the client. We met and discussed all aspects prior to any filming taking place.

Everything was timely and as requested.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This was delivered to our mutual client. I do not have any stats that I can share.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was seamless. We managed to dovetail in very nicely so that there was minimum disruption and maximum efficiency when filming and us photographing.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There were never any times when things needed extra input. They set about the project with no fuss.
