Brancosoft’s assistance was required in the ongoing development and maintenance of our most important web products. They included frontend work with React and backend development with Python. An important part was the implementation of the Bolt Content Management System. As the portals grew in popularity, more work was needed on maintenance, optimization as well as development of new features.

We have used both recommendations and online research in our preliminary selection and then went on to consult our project with a number of pre-selected vendors. The team at Brancosoft impressed us with a highly personalized approach to our project and lots of interesting suggestions, as well as the ability to handle almost all aspects of the projects, including design and project management.

The cooperation has been ongoing since 2017 and involved comprehensive custom web development of our web portals with React and python. At various stages, the Bolt CMS, Redis and the Twig template engine were used. The BrancoSoft team also had a PM specialist on its own. The development and maintenance of all services is still ongoing.

Up until recently it included two backend developers and one frontend developer. Now, we are working with four backend devs, two frontend devs (React), four mobile app devs,a designer and a Project Manager.

I’m the CEO and founder of a company that sells specialized construction materials.

What challenge were you trying to address with BrancoSoft?
We needed someone to help us build a custom e-commerce platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their job was supposed to improve on the design I created and develop the actual website from scratch. Unfortunately, they never completed the work. They were supposed to produce a document that would contain the scope of the development, but nothing was delivered.
What is the team composition?
The main people that I worked with were their COO, CEO, project manager, and developer.
How did you come to work with BrancoSoft?
I actually found them on Clutch after reading about their glowing reviews.
How much have you invested with them?
The initial cost of the scope was $15,000 CAD ($11,700 USD), but we only paid a small deposit of $3,000 CAD ($2,300 USD) to get it started.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July–October 2021. I canceled the project and they haven’t returned my refund or responded to my messages.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In the beginning, we had a good rapport with the COO and CEO, but they’ve stopped responding to my operating officer and even blocked his number — BrancoSoft wasn’t following up on the project, nor were they getting any work done.
The CEO even threatened to leave hundreds of negative reviews on my startup, which I’ve worked on diligently for years if I left a negative review on their company.
How did BrancoSoft perform from a project management standpoint?
Even at the very first stage of the project, they managed to just lead me on for three months. They replaced the people who were producing negative results for the work with the COO, but nothing came of it and the progress was left the way it was.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I could say that they were really friendly and convincing — they led me on for months and made me wait for them to produce good results.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t speak on their development skills because nothing was ever developed. However, they could improve on their project management skills because they were very unstructured during meetings.
Apart from that, maybe they shouldn’t threaten clients to leave hundreds of negative reviews on their business.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’m doing this review to let people know of the uncertainties of outsourcing to a foreign country. My advice is to give any outsourced company a small task to accomplish in a limited amount of time, and only hire them once they succeed on that.

We went through a couple of companies on LinkedIn, along with Braincosoft. We wanted to develop an integrated software, thus looking at the portfolio of Braincosoft we relied upon their services and began working with them.

The goal of the software was to create a UI/UX that allowed recording of internal tasks and easy information keeping. The team invested itself in creating different versions featuring the key aspects of our company. After every major addition or change, the software was tested for its viability.

The team was composed of a project manager and lead software engineer who tailored their expertise according to our requirements.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The software has been able to manage our internal staff smoothly. The task assigning and tracking process has paced up to 10% more than before when manual operations were taken. Our clients are happy with the system as they are able to get enough information about the progress of their projects.

We regularly communicate with the team of BraincoSoft through Skype calls. During the meeting, strategy discussion took place and ideas for implementing them were discussed. The agency delivered weekly reports about the performance of the software via email.

Their team is agile and adaptive. The project leader showed a keen problem solving approach during the entire association. We have worked with other agencies, but the level of service and professionalism that they bring is truly exceptional. They delivered their given promise within the deadline.

Our technical consultant came up with a few agencies providing mobile app development services. We walked through all of them and after having a closed call with BraincoSoft we finalized them based on their team expertise.

They analysed our competitors and planned a strategy. They initially developed UI/UX elements.Then they moved to the development phase and started coding the app. Later down the way, other elements like third party services were added upon their recommendation.

We had regular calls with the lead app engineer and the project manager. Apart from that a team of 3 engineers work in the backend operations to add and test the functions of the mobile app.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are using the Beta version of the app while the final version is still being tested. The employees and some of our close friends are having a smooth experience. The application is user-friendly and has a smooth checkout process which will enhance the conversion rate.

We regularly discussed the reports of the progress through Google meet. Apart from that the lead engineer was accessible over call or message in case there were any immediate suggestions or queries.

They reached out to us through a cold email. As we were already looking for a mobile app development partner, we decided to try out their services. They were kind enough to offer us 25 development hours for free just so we could test their services.
We were very happy with their dedication and professionalism. They were technically sound and had a sizable team of mobile app developers. So we continued our partnership with them even after the trial had ended.

They are developing android and iOS mobile applications for our business. Because our primary focus was on UI and navigation, they extensively worked on it for the initial weeks. We wanted things to be as simple as possible. There were several iterations and they designed a couple of new versions, and introduced many new UI elements in them.
When the final design was ready, their team developed app features and other modules that were supposed to be added to the app. Lastly, their team coded the app and implemented all the features that we needed. They will be releasing it shortly after it’s fully tested.

Our point of contact was mainly their technical lead. He fulfilled all our requirements and drove the project from its initiation.

They spent a good amount of time understanding our idea and market. The Tech Lead brilliantly captured our idea and translated into a solution that resonated with our values and purpose of building the app in the first place. The designs were beautiful and the app itself was neatly crafted. Our beta users warmly welcomed the app design and features - they are adequate and easy to use.

We genuinely appreciate their responsiveness and efficient communication. They were very quick when it came to responding to our suggestions and drove the project proactively. We never had to follow-up. We conducted regular meetings to check on the progress - they always showed up on time and well-prepared.

Brancosoft team genuinely cared about our mission and were highly motivated. They are instrumental when it comes to foreseeing potential challenges and mitigating them before they hamper the project adversely. Agile, professional, and adaptable probably describe them best.
