I am Founder CEO of Letscale Technologies Pvt. Ltd. We run a mobile app by the name of Networrk available on google play store and WebApp. The app allows users to create a professional business profile along with digital catalogs of the products and services offered by them. These profiles can be shared across multiple social channels like WhatsApp, Email, SMS and other social channels.

We hired Boppo Technologies to build the mobile app and web interface for our platform.

What were your goals for this project?

Our app is designed for the SME segment. App allows small business owners to create a business page that allows them to narrate a small story for their businesses through a complete DIY approach. A professional web page is created without any coding or help of 3rd party web developers. It's as good as creating an advanced version of the LinkedIn profile.

The outcome achieved by Boppo Technologies is remarkable. The goal was to create a complete user-friendly approach to build a professional web presence for any business which is by far achieved by Boppo Technologies.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We first thought of building this platform on our own by having our own team. But then eventually decided to outsource the entire platform. We searched extensively on google to find the correct vendor to build our platform. We also visited multiple vendors in multiple cities for the same. In the midst of our search, we were referred to Bopp Technologies by a person known to us.

After a lot of brainstorming on the project with multiple vendors, we knew what was in plate for us. Biswa, founder of Boppo Technologies studied our project in-depth and figured out multiple loopholes that we were unaware of. He guided us through the entire project before commencing any work. After multiple rounds of discussions, we finally awarded Boppo Technologies our project on comparing different proposals received from other vendors.

Describe the project in detail.

After awarding the project to Boppo Technologies, we started receiving a mockup of UI/UX screens within a few days. A lot of brainstorming happened in the due course and was handled in a systematic way. The entire process of App building was agile in nature. Most of the tasks were well defined and executed in a timely manner. The entire project was modularised to achieve small tasks and deliveries. On approval of UI/UX screens, the development was taken into consideration of the same. The project is not yet complete as we are constantly updating to give a better user experience to our clients.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager. There was a WhatsApp group created having project manager, UI/UX designer, Android Developers & Biswa himself & other developers to help us get daily updates on progress.

The entire team was highly efficient and responsive to our queries. The team was excellent and really professionals in their respective roles. It was indeed pleasure to have such brilliant guys help us achieve our goals.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Its been about 3 months of Beta Launch and we have 300+ downloads. We have received till now 5-star ratings from each of our users. We have received a fair amount of good response of our Beta launch.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I would say there are always days when things don't work out as per your thoughts, but things were taken positively if we were not happy with the workflow. The system of co-ordination was little below average as we were unable to understand the progress chart and daily tasks schedules and deliverables. Biswa, has taken a great initiative now to put progress framework in place to make his clients understand their actual status with respect to project deliverables and daily tasks.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I would say only one thing, with respect to this is the great domain knowledge and founder's willingness to experiment. Boppo has a great work culture and man resources are immensely helpful and experts in their domains.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing is perfect, there are always good days and bad. But fortunately, we have seen more good days than bad. Boppo is fairly a young company in technology space. There are always ways to increase proficiencies and commitments and they do understand this very well and take such feedback very seriously. In the end, we have received a great product that qualifies as qualitative and not quantitative.

We provide services to educational institutions by giving them a platform wherein they can offer their skills. I’m the technical head of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Boppo Technologies?

We contacted them to build an application for the student side of the app. Our company has built the institution-facing app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Boppo Technologies handled the design and the backend parts based on our requirements. They gave us two options: plain JavaScript or React.js, and we chose Node.js and React.js.

What is the team composition?

There were around six people on the team. I was assigned a main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Boppo Technologies?

We had an initial talk with Biswa (CEO, Boppo Technologies). He clearly understood what our requirements were, had a good grasp on the technologies we could use, and, based on how he talked to us, reassured us that they were the right people to do this app.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was three lakh Indian rupees ($4,200 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Boppo in October 2019. The app is done, and they gave us the working code in December 2019. They will be supporting the app for three more months. I had a few corrections on the app last week based on the feedback from our first customer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve given the application to three customers, and we’ve used it internally with our own employees. The outside parties suggested some minor corrections, but most of the feedback has been positive.

How did Boppo Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

My main point of contact coordinated with the developers. I was mainly in contact with him and the main developer. We used email for communication, and they also set up a WhatsApp group. We preferred WhatsApp but exchanged large content via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The point of contact assigned to me was always available. Anytime I called him, he’d either be available or text me with the time when he’d call back. They always listened to what we had to say.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was a delay on the design part initially, and they overshot the deadline they set. This happens in software development, but they could be more proper in giving deadlines. That’s not too much of a concern, but it could still be improved.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Compared to other companies in the space, and given the quality they provide, they have low prices. I’ve already referred them to one of my friends who’s planning to launch a real estate app. Anyone planning to work with Node.js or a newer technology should contact them. They charge less than the competition in the market, the people there are hardworking, and their CEO has a good understanding of technology.

Developing a custom e-commerce website basis our unique requirements. Mobile app development for an Augmented reality capable app. Both had complex scope of work. Cub McPaws being a startup there was a time and cost constraint as well.

Boppo Technologies was referred to us by a friend who had worked with Boppo in past and was impressed by the technological capabilities of its founder and team. Biswa, the CEO of Boppo had also led complex technology projects at a past employer of ours. Hence, we had complete trust in his abilities to work on advanced technologies which we wanted to implement.

Boppo designed and developed our entire e-commerce capable website www.cubmcpaws.com. This site does not use any ready-made solutions and is made from scratch. Similarly we had requirement of an Augmented Reality capable native app for both iOS and Android platforms.

Firstly, they are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about technology. They are willing to experiment and come up with best possible solution. Quick in implementation.
