I’m the product and marketing director for the international business development area of a global home repair and maintenance business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bonanza Design?

We were looking to enter the market and wanted to understand in real-time, with real-life market data, what consumers might think of our product propositions. We also wanted to understand what the consumer needs were based on pain points in the country, so we hired Bonanza Design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bonanza Design worked agilely with us to understand what propositions might work. We tested them in my own market to see real results of what would be interesting for consumers. Our goal was to capture that data based on the click-through rates on the different digital advertisements and conversion rates on the website. 

The team built a website and landing pages for the propositions as well as campaigns, the results of which they analyzed as part of the market and competitive research. They also conducted consumer interviews. We used WordPress for the website and worked collaboratively on a set template. We had daily sprints with the team and optimized the site as we went.

There were three people from the Bonanza Design team working with us. The person who runs the company was our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Bonanza Design?

We looked around for an agency that could handle agile proposition testing, which is quite a unique skill set, and really work on our timescales. We found that Bonanza Design runs an agile product testing examination, which was a perfect fit for our needs, so we decided to go with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around €40,000 (approximately $47,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We ran two full-week sprints from April–May 2021. I think as we get to launch in the market, we’ll need their expertise more. I’d love to use them again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They built a very cost-effective agile product proposition testing process that shows real-time results quickly. The team delivered the first center results within four weeks. In traditional marketing, this would’ve taken 12 weeks. 

How did Bonanza Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent. Everything was done on time. To be honest, they kept me on my toes, and I was very happy with their project management skills. 

We had daily sessions to understand what was required from both parties and what we were setting out to achieve. We also had a weekly program that we needed to deliver. 

Our communication was conducted over Google Meet, Teams, email, and phone calls — whichever was best for what we needed to achieve. We also shared a Google Drive for collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very impressed with the speed at which they worked. They really focused on developing the test website for us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't fault Bonanza Design for anything. They set out and did exactly what they needed to do. They were great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared because Bonanza Design is going to work you hard. Give as much time and effort as they do to get the most out of the process. They’re relentless when it comes to delivery and you’ll need to step up and work along with them to do that.

We wanted to create a MVP for our first product, an app that helps people to learn, grow and talk to expert coaches all with the aim of better fostering and maintaining romantic relationships

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a Berlin-based design agency to help with a design sprint to prototype and test a consumer app that will launch our business.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The team carried out an entire intense design sprint, starting with understanding our business and mission, a competitor analysis and the existing prototypes. Then we went through a process of wireframing different pages and user flows, taking inspiration from previous steps.

There were many iterations and feedback loops during this process. After one week, they presented their progress and started a design phase, creating beautiful illustrations, designs, layouts, etc.

Finally, we entered a test and iteration phase, Bonanza conducted 7 user interviews with our users, a built yet another iteration of their designs on top of that feedback.

The three week project wrapped up with a presentation of that iteration, some explanation of the thoughts that went into the changes and some ideas and suggestions for further work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The whole team is delighted with the outcome and the learnings through having done this process. It has set the basis for almost all our work going forward and accelerated us through several sticky, difficult product decisions to the point where we are now scrambling to catch up. Excitement is through the roof and we're months closer to a product we will love than we would otherwise have been

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Great. We had regular meetings, emails, workshops and the team was incredibly available for questions and requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a phenomenally focussed process that really brought the whole of our team along with it, to the extent where there is now a stronger culture of rapid iteration and delivery within our team for simply having worked with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were moving so quickly sometimes that I worried that we might miss important details or not quite capture what we could do best for our users, but we're really happy with the outcomes

I’m the director of products and operations at Care with Care GmbH, a Germany-based staffing company that provides work and training opportunities for nurses from overseas countries.

We needed their team’s UX and graphic design services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bonanza Design is currently helping us complete two projects: they’re handling the UX design efforts for the MVP we’re building for our nurses and employers, and they’re also helping us redesign our website in pursuit of our rebranding efforts.

We initially conducted a conceptualization and research process to go through user problems, user journeys, and the features needed to build the project. After that, we proceeded with the prototyping phase and gathered initial feedback to help us refine the product and capture what we truly wanted. The last phase of building the MVP was implementing design solutions and generating the content we needed to be featured on the website.

Bonanza Design has then written content and created illustrations that we’ve migrated into our new website. Apart from that, they’ve helped us conduct a photo and video shoot to update our client and company information pages on the website. As for the website’s design, we specifically want Bonanza Design to reimagine our brand through our online platform. They’ve also structured our overall site map and improved our navigation panel.

Bonanza Design is a detail-oriented team. They take the time to understand our company and the needs of our customers to deliver tailored solutions that match both our vision and expectations. They create high-quality deliverables that truly encapsulate the essence of our company.

We communicated via email, phone calls, and video conferences and used Jira and Zoho to manage the flow of our project. Bonanza Design has a communicative and organized approach, which allows them to meet both our timelines and expectations. Additionally, they take our feedback seriously and quickly implement changes when needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bonanza Design is a collaborative team that welcomes our feedback and prioritizes our needs. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re happy with everything they’ve delivered so far, so I don’t think there are areas that need improvement. I only have high praises for Bonanza Design’s work.

Prepare the necessary documents and other research materials needed to make their team understand your needs and the project’s core. It’s easier and quicker for Bonanza Design to deliver on-point solutions if they have a quick outline to follow from the get-go.

I’m the CEO and founder of a company that is building a tech platform. The platform will automatically match companies and service providers from around the globe. I am responsible for the product design and development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bonanza Design?

For two years prior to bringing on Bonanza, we ran the platform and tested its features. We maintain three apps to satisfy our customer needs. One of those apps is for providers, and we already had an MVP. However, we needed to bring it to a different level. Bonanza supported us in redesigning the app’s concept and improving its UX.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bonanza Design redesigned our provider app. The first step was collecting requirements. Then, they created mock-ups, prototypes, wireframes, and user flows. The third step entailed building the interfaces and both low- and high-fidelity designs. At the very end, we did user testing.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with two people: the CEO and one of the lead UX designers. Since they’re a design agency, there were multiple lead designers. I know there were a lot of other people in the background.

How did you come to work with Bonanza Design?

We are both in the Berlin ecosystem. I had known the CEO for 3–4 years, and I gave them a couple of other projects. However, I'd never really gotten to work with them directly.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This was a one-month project called a design sprint. It started the first week of April 2021, and we just finished in May 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their design work isn’t implemented yet — our developers are just about to start working on it. However, we did user testing on the prototypes and interfaces, and I’d say that the feedback was amazing. They overachieved on all of our goals. 

How did Bonanza Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good and always to the point. We had regular weekly meetings that happened on time and often even finished early. We had a constant feedback channel and could always give or collect feedback.  Whether we commented on their work during the day or at night, they resolved it within hours. What we did in four weeks with them probably would’ve taken an in-house house team 4–6 months to do. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bonanza’s creativity and user-friendliness impressed us. They were insanely creative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We really could not have asked for more — they were very good. The only thing I can think of is that they have a development part as well, so they do support further than what we used them for.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have your high-level requirements ready and work on them along the way because they give so much guidance, which is really good. They can do a design sprint in a few weeks, but use the time you have with them. Communicate with the design lead and CEO as much as possible. Take all that you can get.

I'm the Creative Director at CASPO. I been in the company for around 5 years. QueenVegas is an online casino brand under CASPO which features multiple licenses, operating in different jurisdictions. I lead the creative team and deal with c-level executives on daily basis.

With a massive influx of work, we made the decision to hire an agency to help out with our new re-branding exercise while we maintained the old brand.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to not only have our team isn't entirely exhausted designing but also have the new brand roll out faster.

SOLUTION

How did you select Bonanza Design?

We had a range of potential agencies to help us with what we want and went onto meetings with several. After weighing all the factors, we really liked Bonanza's proposal as it was aligned with the ideas we had for the new version of QueenVegas.

We started off by discussing what we wish to achieve in this rebranding exercise. After exploring different story boards and ideas together, Behrad and his team went away and kept us in the loop working on the new logo design then moved on to brand elements. After establishing these together, we went on to a new UI and brand bible.

Behrad and his team where on our end, there was the managing director, head of acquisition and myself involved in the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We don't have any data yet to discuss this but we're keen to find out down the line.

The workflow between both teams was smooth and rapid.

I'm hard to impress but I liked how they worked overall.

I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve.

I am co-founder and chief product officer (CPO) of the Hamburg (Germany) based company HQLabs. Our software-as-a-service product is called awork. awork is a joyful work management tool for creative teams. We strive to enable better and happier teamwork.

We are constantly improving our product and extending the feature scope wherever we feel we can improve the value and the product experience. Normally we are doing this in-house. For the make-over and redesign of a whole feature area of our web application, we've hired Bonanza to help us with their profound knowledge and design power.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to reinvent a workflow for our users on how to achieve a certain outcome. The goal was to have a set of well researched, well tested and well designed UIs which are achieving this desired outcome. Our internal product & development team should have been able to implement the solution based on the delivered results.

SOLUTION

How did you select Bonanza Design?

I've been in contact with Bonanza & Behrad since a year already after we've met on LinkedIn. Behrad and the projects the team was working on left a very good impression and good fit to what we are doing.

Describe the project in detail.

We had two 1h calls to clarify about the project scope and settle on the process in the very beginning. We settled on a tough 4 week sprint where the first week was all about research (competition, users, internal interviews, etc.).

The following weeks the team of Bonanza quickly iterated and solutions, tested them with users, challenged them in regular meetings with me and my co-founder, collected feedback and kept iterating. In the end we got a set of well designed UIs, clickflows/workflows and test-results.

What was the team composition?

At Bonanza have two people been working very close together with us. On our side, it was me and my co-founder. We sat together weekly in 2h zoom calls to go through latest iteration steps all together.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Up to now, the results of the projects aren’t yet implemented and live. The design project itself helped us a lot to kick off the topic and take big conceptual steps in a very short period time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole project and workflow was very effective. It was an agile process with constant communication. Besides weekly meetings, we've been using our project management software awork to coordinate tasks, communicate asynchronously and be in control of the overall progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Bonanza has a very clear and structured workflow on how to achieve certain design outcomes and this includes a lot of research and validation. What impressed me most, is their speed and agility in this workflow. They are super fast and all meetings are highly efficient and productive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They got very fast, pretty concrete with their first iterations. I would have felt more comfortable if a higher variety of different schematic solutions would have been compared to each other very early on in the process. This selection step was quite intransparent for us.

We needed to redesign our homepage.

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the beginning of the project, we had an ideation phase where we had a small workshop and defined our target personas. From there, Bonanza created a style guide for us, along with a website homepage.

We were in touch with one person, the founder, but there was at least one other person involved.

We got offers from different companies for the project, and we liked Bonanza’s pitch the best.

We worked together from July–October 2020.

They offered us great service. Bonanza was super responsive, very fast, and were always open to our suggestions and ideas.

We mostly used Google Hangouts and Zoom meetings to keep in touch.

I really liked the ideation phase of the project. Also, Bonanza was very responsive throughout the whole process, which I appreciated.

We began working together around June 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.

Bonanza Design does quality work in a timely manner. They are good at understanding what the client wants and creating designs that produce a responsive UI. I’m quite happy with the results.

How did Bonanza Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always available and responsive. We communicate via Skype, Slack, and email. Our teams discuss roadblocks and progress daily, adjusting the timeline when needed. Since our time zones align, it makes working together and corresponding much easier. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very creative in their designs. The team is punctual and always available to talk with us or the client.

Since we have a lot of US clients, they sometimes should do calls in the client’s timezone.

We initially went through a discovery process to give them a good idea of what we were trying to build and why. After that they presented to us a their proper solution : '3-WEEK UX DESIGN PROCESS ', we agreed to do it like that , and we we were pleasantly surprised by the result.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The impact of what they’ve done is yet to be measured. We were happy with their work. We liked the UI and UX.

The workflow was very clear and efficient, We had calls once or twice a week, and they showed us their progress weekly. They shared figma wireframes, and we’d describe what was working and what we needed to iterate on.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Bonanza-design distilled the complexity of a broad product and turned thorny interactions into elegant, sophisticated workflows. It required a lot of intellectual, conceptual problem-solving and getting up to speed on the unique nature of our business quickly, and They were very easy to reach.

Anytime we needed to raise anything, we had a call with them within an hour or two. They were easy to work with, delivered everything on time, and listened to our feedback.

No, I was super happy.

I’m the chief strategy officer for the Wefox Group. We are an insurtech company with more than 600 employees in eight countries. Within the group, we operate three distinct businesses; a brokerage, an insurance company, and a software service.

We wanted to do our part to flatten the curve by creating a platform for brokers to connect with their customers virtually.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For this project, they made a domain, designed the webpage, coded it, and provided support. It was integrated into our core platform.

Behrad (CEO & Co-Founder) was our only point of contact. I’m not sure how many people he assigned to work on the project.

How did you come to work with Bonanza Design?

We have done several projects with them over the years, and I felt they would be a good fit for this project as well.

We invested about $5,000 - $6,000 for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

To the best of my knowledge, we began working together in November 2018, and it is an ongoing engagement. This particular project was done in 2020 over the course of a week.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They gave a stellar performance. We briefed them on Friday, and they delivered their work on Monday for review. The product went live on Wednesday. The quality is very good, and UX/UI is on point. They are familiar with our UX/UI since we’ve worked together for a while, but the outcome of the project was beyond our expectations. I’m delighted with their work.

How did Bonanza Design perform from a project management standpoint?

I would give them a perfect score for this project. We are a demanding client, and they were able to align everything to meet our requirements in a time of crisis. We had daily calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is flexible and versatile. The level of trust and communication we’ve established with them is excellent. We know they’ll get the job done, and do it well.
