What challenge were you trying to address with BOLD Studio?

We hired BOLD to create videos to help us hire software developers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BOLD essentially created a video job advertisement. They helped us put together the script and then, their whole crew came to shoot the videos. Their team gave us advice on how to speak and act in front of the camera. The shoot took about a day and then they produced the video. Their team sent us videos for review, and we suggested edits. They then delivered three videos for different positions. BOLD helped us put the videos on different platforms like YouTube too.

How did you come to work with BOLD Studio?

We looked for video production companies online and asked a few agencies for offers. We decided to work with BOLD because we had nice initial conversations with them. The price was attractive, and we liked their other content.

We spent a little above $10,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We produced the videos in September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The goal was achieved because we found the developers we needed. That was the main metric, and they did exactly what we needed.

How did Bold Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

The project ran smoothly. We communicated via email and didn’t have any problems. We set dates for the shoot, and everything was clear. They completed the videos on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of the videos made them stand out from other providers. They also had a helpful approach. Their team learned about the business to ensure they could give us the best information on how to create the videos.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it was a good engagement.

For what projects/services did your company hire BOLD Studio?

We are in an ongoing collaboration as they produce the media content we use for our clients located in the french part of Switzerland. One project was the summary of an event and usually, they do interview testimonials of employees.

What were your goals for this project?

Follow the clients guidelines and wishes for the event. The Bold Studio Team did an amazing job as these clients were not used to work with a production company and they took themselves lots of time to make sure that the client understands which are the best choices in terms of content, reviews and changes.

How did you select BOLD Studio?

We have been asking for different offers and they directly asked for further technical questions in order to bring a very personalized solution. It took us a bit more time to explain them the project but it was good that they could get the full spectrum as they could send us some improvement recommendations since the beginning.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

We took contact with our client, we hired Bold Studio, they have been filming the full event and reviewing their work with our client. There have been several mails back and forth in order to have everyone fully satisfied, I was everytime in copy.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

In video, you get a direct feedback in order to cut or improve some parts. It is a very subjective and artistic area, so everyone has a different option. Bold Studio demonstrated a good comprehension of the clients opinion and lots of respect towards them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos have been shared on all their social media and they hired us again for the next event. They were satisfied about the outcome.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As we brought the client, it was important for us that he was happy. We followed the first steps of the relationship and could see that they had very friendly and respectful contact after the shooting, so we did not need to interrupt further the creative process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Being able to do and redo the sequences as many times as needed and sending a new version for approval. Making sure that the first version fits really well for the client in order to reproduce it for the other sequences.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We have been fully satisfied by Bold Studios work, that's why we extended our collaboration for all the french-speaking part of Switzerland.

I am the CEO of Climkit. We’re an eight-person company that provides an energy metering service for electricity, thermal, and water.

What challenge were you trying to address with BOLD Studio?

We wanted to create videos to highlight our different solutions and products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired BOLD to create eight videos of our four main products over a period of 12 months. So far, their team has produced six videos.

We shared our goals and expectations. Our requirements included specific sites to visit and film. Each site’s specific to one of our products. Their team learned about our products and then organized the shoots and interviews.

Basically, they create two videos every two months. BOLD films for a day and then delivers a final product 10 days later. We’ll show the videos online including our social media profiles and website.

In addition to filming, Bold takes photos of buildings, customers, and any subject of the film. We use those images for our own communication purposes. Their team also takes care of the entire postproduction process.

We work with two people from their team.

How did you come to work with BOLD Studio?

We found them through a referral and were intrigued by their price. BOLD had time for our project.

How much have you invested in them?

We will spend $12,000 a year on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our collaboration in January 2020, and it's ongoing. We're still working together on the remaining videos.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BOLD helps us because the videos show the simplicity and quality of our services. It’s especially helpful because energy’s complex; people don’t really know what it is and how it works. People come to understand our company by watching the videos. We’re satisfied with them.

How did BOLD Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

For about half an hour, we discussed my expectations. After I told them what I wanted, they did it. Their team shows us a preview, and then we change a few aspects. Their team then delivers the final version. The process is efficient. I’m happy with the process as I didn’t want to be too involved in it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by the cost of their services and their team’s availability. They also quickly understood our goals, our services, and how to create a film about them.

No, I don’t really know how they could improve.

It’s important to know what you want from the engagement. This allows you to guide the process. If you know what you want, they’ll deliver it.

Sword Technologies is an IT services company based in Switzerland. We’re part of Sword Group. We put in place IT infrastructures and collaboration solutions for clients, maintaining those solutions over time. We have offices in Montreal, Canada, and operate a staffing agency in Germany.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with BOLD Studio?

We had an on-site event at our office that we had to move online because of COVID. We needed help from a studio to set up a live-streaming environment.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, BOLD Studio set up our live-streaming environment to broadcast our event.

For our second collaboration, I needed to design two promotional videos to demonstrate our Microsoft thought leadership. BOLD advised us on the best way to execute those videos. The result was a well-structured commercial pitch for client solutions. The videos consisted of stock images, so there wasn't filming involved.

What is the team composition?

I had a single point of contact, but I know that there were two people from BOLD working for us.

How did you come to work with BOLD Studio?

I knew Ilir (Founder & Production Director) from my network and spoke to him about the project. I’d worked with bigger agencies in the past and didn’t find them to be very efficient. I wanted to find a small, local partner that could really talk to us and understand the market. BOLD offered that to us. 

We’re not that good at marketing internally, so we really needed someone to trust for the right ideas, and not just a company that could work on a task list and deliver a video.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of each project was around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with BOLD between May–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We published the videos to our LinkedIn, Facebook, and website. Many people viewed and liked the content. As a Microsoft partner, we need to do marketing activities and promote our knowledge. The videos were useful to us in displaying that knowledge.

Three clients attending our live-stream even, and we signed three contracts with those clients based on the information we presented. We were very happy with BOLD's contributions to that effort.

How did BOLD Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Many smaller companies use external freelance artists, but this is not the case with BOLD. Ilir has a very structured approach. Each time we had a conversation with him, we recorded goals, next steps, and meeting minutes. He informed us of any possible challenges as well. I appreciated his project management and professionalism.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s easy working with them. We need to have trust in our partners because we’re paying them for work that we don’t know how to do. With BOLD, everything was clear and easy, and there was nothing unclear. They just did the work, and they did it right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

These weren’t very complicated projects, but everything was done well. There’s nothing for them to improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I just advise them to give BOLD a chance. They can do better work than some huge marketing agencies.

Via their website. BOLD Studio is the only company in the Lake Geneva region that could offer us high quality work with a very good budget.

We choose a format for our video. We give Bold Studio the script and some raw footage. They help us to create the storytelling. Bold Studio doing the video editing. They created a long video and a short video suitable for social media format and for stories. They added their ideas and creativity to create a video that perfectly suited our expectations.

Our visibility on social media increase significantly thanks to the work of Bold Studio.
