We were looking for qualified, full-stack NodeJS and React developers that join our team, hit the ground running, and strive for engineering excellence.

I met David, the founder of Blue Coding, at a conference

We needed 2 NodeJS and React developers as part of our team to work on major product redesigns and platform enhancements.

Blue Coding interviewed us to get a detailed picture of not only what we were looking for as far as skills, level, and budget but also team culture and fit.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Blue Coding was able to help us place 2 key engineers on our team who were sharp, onboarded exceptionally fast, and were able to help us release a complete product redesign in less than 3 months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Developers have been flexible with our requirement to have significant overlap with PST timezone, have incorporated into our team and process very well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their thoroughness in selecting and interviewing candidates has been impressive. Also, how well the team was able to get on the same page as us with regard to what we're looking for in a candidate

I’m the founder of a software company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Blue Coding?

We were trying to hire a developer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Blue Coding helped us through the HR process of hiring a developer. First, they went through our requirements and did a discovery call with us. Then, they did interviews and went off to do their own research. Finally, they provided us with a list of those who met the requirements and helped us with the whole interview process. We have used their services for three hires.

What is the team composition?

We had a primary person in charge of the project, and they brought in more people for other roles.

How did you come to work with Blue Coding?

I got to know Blue Coding’s founder at some conferences. We started talking to him and some people on their team.

How much have you invested with them?

Over the years, we’ve spent close to $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our latest hiring process was in January 2021, but we’ve worked with them over the past two years. We’re still working with a business developer that we hired through them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have pretty particular needs, and they have been able to find multiple people to meet those. We’ve been very happy with them.

How did Blue Coding perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through Zoom or email, depending on the part of the project we’re working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re able to distill down a number of prospects from a very big pool to a very specific pool. They present us with candidates that actually meet our needs, so we don’t have to interview tens or hundreds of people. Blue Coding does a really good job of pre-selecting candidates for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really can’t think of anything. We’ve been very happy with them.

Any advice for potential customers?

They just figure out what your needs are, so give them all the details, and they’ll run with that. Give them all of the details that you possibly can and let them do their thing.

I'm the co-founder of a a small, but growing software company that provides DIY consumer research services to business customers around the world.

For what projects/services did your company hire Blue Coding, and what were your goals?

My co-founder and I are both engineers and did all of our software development. As our company started to grow, we decided to build a fully remote team but still wanted to developers roughly in the US timezone so we turned to Blue Coding to help us hire developers in Latin America. We wanted a partner that could help us navigate the Latin American market and also provide the technical expertise to vet the candidates.

We selected Blue Coding because the team is capable, professional and easy to work with. They have a very hands-off approach to recruiting that lets us focus on our business.

The initial scope was to provide full end-to-end recruiting services, from candidate sourcing to initial vetting to technical interviewing. Deliverables included personal and technical interview evaluations.

We worked with a number of people from the team, including the CEO, Head of Talent, VP of Operations, and recruiter.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The main outcome was the successful hiring of our first developer / engineering manager. He has had a huge impact on our development productivity. We were so happy with him that we had Blue Coding hire our next developer as well who is also an amazing team member.

They have very thorough note taking, email communication, and meeting scheduling skills. There was never any doubt about the status of anything and replies were always timely.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm impressed at the quality of talent they are able to source and the thorough vetting they do for each candidate. Every candidate that they presented was always technically superb which made it easy for us since we only had to decide on cultural fit.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing about the current process.
