We hired Blackribbit for naming, branding, messaging, and corporate identity services. Our goal was to create a clear and consistent message that reflected who we were as a company. We wanted to simplify our message so that people could easily understand our value proposition.

Blackribbit provided branding and strategic development consulting services, focusing on our company's culture and brand messaging. 

Once we chose Blackribbit as our agency, they interviewed our leadership team and key personnel, current and past clients, and community members who had worked with us. Blackribbit gathered their perspectives on why they chose us and engaged with us. The team reviewed this information and identified areas of alignment and disconnection. They then created solutions to ensure consistency and delivered a logo. 

After that, we discussed our verbiage, messaging, and image to ensure everything aligned. Blackribbit was also involved in our trademark and copyright process, ensuring consistency in our branding.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of Blackribbit's work exceeded my expectations. Some of our leadership members even got emotional about the end result. After we started communicating with the new messaging and logo, engagement increased 10%, and three new clients were converted. 

Blackribbit helped us communicate effectively with our clients and ideal community.

How did Blackribbit perform from a project management standpoint?

Blackribbit delivered the work on time and within budget. They communicated well with us via phone calls, Zoom, and Odoo.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Nader was the reason I said yes to working with Blackribbit. He gave me confidence and peace throughout the process. I’m very happy with the results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I became a huge fan of Blackribbit and had a great experience with them. I can't think of anything the team could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid of engaging in the areas that Blackribbit requests you to engage. Don’t be afraid of talking to your current and past clients about their impressions of you because it will change how you view what you do and how you do it. Following Blackribbit’s advice is key. Don’t question it; just do it because they really care. Nader doesn’t ask questions just to ask questions. Asking the questions, “Why would somebody want to work for you?” and “Why would somebody want to stay with you?” is pivotal.

The team from Blackribbit has led our rebranding effort; they have been responsible for developing a new name, logo, and strategy to move forward. Blackribbit has held internal and external stakeholder interviews to better understand what we need; they have also conducted competitor research. Blackribbit has created a brand book, and we are in the process of developing a website with them. They are also handling the trademarking process.

We don’t have any concrete metrics, but their work is very polished, and we’ve been extremely impressed with everything they’ve provided. Blackribbit’s work has exceeded our expectations.

Blackribbit is organized, detail-oriented, and works quickly. Their process has been effective, and they consistently keep us updated. We typically communicate via phone calls, texts, Zoom, and Google Meet.

They have gone above and beyond to ensure our company’s branding aligns with our needs to meet our goals. We’ve been thrilled with the team we work with because they provide everything that we need. We have a wonderful working relationship with Blackribbit; their team is incredibly knowledgeable. We wouldn’t do anything differently.

I’ve had a number of direct responses from clients that they are excited about the branding and logo. Overall, they’re very pleased with our brand’s appearance.

They are functional in this regard, and we communicate over email and phone calls.

Their listening and communication skills stand out. They were able to communicate in a way that was understandable to me. Blackribbit was highly detailed and listened to all my concerns, especially around my target audience and how I wanted my business to be presented.

I can’t think of anything to say, as I’m happy with everything.

Really communicate with Blackribbit because that’s their best asset. Whatever your concerns, likes, and dislikes are, communicate about them.

We’ve been in business for a while, but we never worked on our marketing and brand identity, so we needed someone to help us create these strategies. Additionally, we needed a website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Blackribbit team worked with us on our branding and marketing plans. We worked closely with them to build these strategies. They also created a new logo for us and helped us design some business cards and flyers.

They also built our website. First, we gave Blackribbit an idea of what we wanted for the site. They then proceeded to design and develop it from scratch. We used Limo Anywhere to manage our business, so we asked the team to integrate it with the site.

We found them by talking to other business owners, so I reached out to Blackribbit. Our conversation went well, and I felt like they knew how to address my needs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We still have yet to launch the website, so we don’t have any metrics. However, the Blackribbit team was very efficient and delivered within the deadlines we set. Overall, we were satisfied.

How did Blackribbit perform from a project management standpoint?

I like the way they operated — the team was very flexible and punctual. They delivered everything within the timeline they promised and stayed on budget. We mostly had weekly Zoom meetings, but we also had phone calls as needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very happy that we chose them because they didn’t disappoint. Blackribbit delivered everything we needed on time and within budget. They never missed an appointment. Whenever I missed a call, they would call to reschedule, which I appreciated.

We didn’t have any bad experiences with the team.

Be honest and direct with what you want from them and set clear deadlines. They’ll fulfill your needs just like they did for me.

I’m the executive director of the Shackleton Research Trust Corporation. We’re a nonprofit foundation that promotes educational awareness and opportunities for underrepresented minorities in science.

We brought them on as a consultant to develop our marketing strategy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Blackribbit was the key solution for our branding and marketing strategy. They looked at every facet of market analysis and what type of brand image we wanted to portray. We didn’t have a lot of these questions answered, so they walked us through a systematic process.

In the beginning, we had a name and domain, and that was it. Blackribbit built on everything that we have today on our website. They also worked on the language and made the entire brand portfolio.

What is the team composition?

We had a main point of contact and 1–2 other people working with us. They weren’t our primary contractor.

How did you come to work with Blackribbit?

They reached out via LinkedIn for another project. After talking to them for a while, we saw the project wasn’t panning out for what we were looking at, but we had another, so we went with it.

How much have you invested with them?

The total value was around $10,000 per month, so it was close to $90,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started talking in May 2020. The primary work was finished in March 2021, and they’re now working on a second portion of the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

People love the website. We’ve shown it to many people, and we haven’t heard somebody saying they don’t like it. We’re also very happy with the brand image, logo, and everything behind it. It’s all sharp, and we couldn’t have done it without Blackribbit.

How did Blackribbit perform from a project management standpoint?

They used all sorts of ways to keep us on track. I own and operate a couple other companies, so time is always an issue. However, they were really accommodating to work with me, my schedule, and other team members. All of the work was distributed across two countries and three time zones.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a global thoughtfulness to the design element. It had a global appeal, and I think that was because they had an international-minded team.

Not really. They were flexible to work with us in different ways. We couldn’t do any better, honestly.

I work for a large digital media company comprising a vast network of sites, consolidating billions of vistors a month worldwide. I work as a product manager with the group, working directly with ownership and senior leadership to execute on new product ventures. I focus on creating new products that align with solutions for efficiency across the entire company.

I worked with Blackribbit to help me get a rough design and working prototype of my first iteration of a mobile webapp, and used their services to elicit feedback from stakeholders and consolidate vision for our eventual product build.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals were to develop some 50 individual pages within the larger site platform, and translate those into a clickable prototype.

SOLUTION

How did you select Blackribbit?

I have worked with Blackribbit for years and find them professional, great with feedback, and experienced enough to fill some of the gaps that often put a project on pause.

Describe the project in detail.

We work directly with creators to provide the easiest, most useful, lucrative and in-demand tools in the fan creator space, all in one login. Getting to MVP will enable both VS and WMG to begin integrating and testing both the creator platform and tube traffic integrations. It makes sense to launch with an MVP due to the timing of our entry, where we can continue to quickly iterate the creator backend and expand on their toolkit. Creator engagement will be key over the long term to make sure that the traffic volumes alone aren’t wasted, and to build word of mouth growth to feed ever increasing demand.

The team is currently 1 pm, 2 Senior Devs, 1 Junior BE Dev and 2 FE Devs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This project got the ball rolling and enabled us to bring the project to life. We are working on building out our MVP now, and with the help of blackribbit we should be to market by early Q2.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent, the Blackribbit team had consistent meetings and were timely and focused. They worked through the holiday season, which was a big reason why they proved such an advantage - alleviating the gap between Christmas and New Year where new ventures still months off are hard to focus on. They had great tools for communication, and were able to work with my notes and ask appropriate questions to mitigate for a mutually desired outcome.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

That they worked through the holidays like champs, but also that they have proven such a great resource over and over again that listen and respond quickly and with professionalism.

Not particularly.

We have had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on the new website and the look and feel of it as well as the rest of our visual assets. The new site is fresh and modern and also stands out in our industry as something unique and striking. It has definitely brought new interest and business to Au Ciel.

Nader was great to work with. He is always very responsive and makes you feel like you are his top priority. He is also flexible and has a good sense of showing you options you didn't know you might respond more favorably to in order to get you to the results you truly desire.

Our branding and logo are very eye catching - literally people's "eyes" are drawn to it. We always receive positive and often delighted feedback when people see the logo for the first time - whether it's on a t-shirt or on our business cards.

People remember it and that has helped with our brand recognition trememndously!

The workflow was very effective. Nader's process is gentle and very supportive but also challenges you to think about your brand in ways you never thought to and to explore all possible angles.

Nader the Owner of Blackribbit and I have worked on projects together in the past and I was aware of his quality of work.

The project was creating new market collateral for our clients. I provided feedback on the creatives. Blackribbit was able to create high quality templates for our Jr. Designers to use. In addition to creating the temapates, in many cases Blackribbit helped us with copy and images.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project had 2 primary Goals:

1. Increase Engagement and
2. Improve the Quality of the look and feel of the ads

Goal 1. This was accomplished by Blackribbit increasing the Ad Click Through Ratio. The creatives provided by Blackribbit's team performed higher than our previous creatives.

Goal 2. This was accomplished by Blackribbit using high quality images, crisp designs and they fixed a long standing issue with our banner text looking blurry. Their creatives have a high quality look and feel to them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The work flow was great. They delivered on time every-time or earlier.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of work and the speed they get things done blew us away. Blackribbit creatives out performed our previous creative team. The creative attracted more clicks and had a higher quality look and feel.
