We hired BlackGarlic to use their translation services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BlackGarlic helps us translate our institutional projects linked to foreign institutions. For these projects, we need to create reports in both English and Spanish, and they help us translate them into English.

What is the team composition?

I communicate directly with one person from their team.

How did you come to work with BlackGarlic Translations?

BlackGarlic was already working with our company when I joined it. We had a second service provider, but BlackGarlic always offered the best deal in terms of pricing, so we decided to stick with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

For our most recent translation project, the report was about two pages, costing about 3,000 Mexican pesos (approximately $160 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

I personally have worked with them since January 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

BlackGarlic does a good job of translating our projects. We receive their translations, check them, and send them to our partners — I’ve never had a report rejected so far. 

How did BlackGarlic Translations perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always worked fast. In fact, some translations are delivered within 24 hours. To communicate, we mainly use email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

BlackGarlic has a great awareness of our organization. They always get back to us quickly and are flexible when offering quotations to the limited resources of our organization. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. We work with them on a per-project basis, and everything we’ve assigned to them has been completed successfully.

Contact BlackGarlic, talk to them about your project, and reach an agreement according to your needs.

I needed a document translated into Spanish for the Mexican market to find a distributor in Mexico.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BlackGarlic Translations translated a document into Spanish for me; I gave them a Word document and a PDF that explained precisely how I wanted it, and they took care of it.

I worked with one person from their team.

How did you come to work with BlackGarlic Translations?

I sent out a few requests for quotes to different translation providers in Mexico that I found in a Google search. I got three responses. BlackGarlic Translations didn’t have the cheapest quote, but it was one of the fastest and gave me the most confidence.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $300 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August–September 2022.

My customers were impressed with the translation document and thought it was written like that in Spanish and not translated from English.

Project management was perfect; they stayed within budget and communicated with us via email.

They had a quick response and strong attention to detail.

I didn't think there was anything they could improve on. I was delighted with their work, and they did everything perfectly.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BlackGarlic Translations provides us with translation services. They help us translate various documents, including contracts, into English, Portuguese, and Italian. As for our process, we usually send them a request first, and then they send us a quotation and delivery time. After that’s settled, they proceed with the work immediately.

What was the team composition?

We work directly with their CEO, but I’m not sure how many more people are involved.

How did you come to work with BlackGarlic Translations?

They sent us their presentation and proposal, which we found to be very interesting. We decided to go with their team based on their pricing, translation quality, and translation speed.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with BlackGarlic Translations in August 2018, and our collaboration is still ongoing.

So far, BlackGarlic Translations has been providing good results. Their delivery time is excellent as well.

How did BlackGarlic Translations perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style is excellent. They’re always willing to adapt to our needs — whenever we have urgent translation requests, they attend to them immediately and deliver earlier than expected. We communicate mainly via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their delivery time and the cost-benefit ratio of their services. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any negative feedback for BlackGarlic Translations; our experience with them has been very positive.
