We have contacted AVO Picture with the delicate and complex task to perform a professional portfolio video in order to represent our company generally - who we are, what we do and mostly our completed projects. The issue was to precisely combine and synthesize materials of over 100 completed projects and to deliver a highlight product. The video is for presentation at the social media profiles, the company webpage and in front of all kind of potential clients and investors.

We have performed a detailed research for choosing a subcontractor for this task. After reviewing numerous companies and their videos we chose AVO Pictures because of the quality and professional style of their product.

First of all we had to perform an optimized action plan for scenario and what shall be included in the material. The length of the video had to fit within 120 seconds and the locations for recording were a lot and all over. AVO Pictures has proposed and arranged precisely the entire process, by creating a detailed schedule and scope, covered entirely by perfect coordination, video equipment and operators. Different cameras and drones has been used.

We had an initial call to discuss the outline of the project. After that we had another 1 or 2 calls to discuss the project in more details. Avopictures were also sending us constant updates and asked for our feedback regarding the product set, etc..

We worked with Emil - CEO and Dimana. They constantly reached out to us to ask for our feedback and did everything we asked for in terms of corrections.

We tested the video in our PPC ads and it performed above average compared to our other marketing promo materials.

As this was our first time working with AvoPictures there's of course always room for improvement. Mainly in terms of communication and on-side presence from our side during the shooting.

The recipes come with a step by step photo guide and video of preparing each of the recipe. Avo Pictures is the company which creates these videos and photos. Our goal was to provide high quality pictures and videos of every recipe. We wanted to show our clients each little step of the cooking process, so that everyone could prepare his own healthy menu.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for video production companies and we saw Avo Pictures other video projects of food photography/food advertisements and we really liked them. They are also very cooperative and kind, easy-going, and these are crucial for a successful end result.

We started with a discovery meeting where we introduce our sample meals from our meal plan and showed them some videos of similar recipes on the internet that we liked, so they could have an idea what we wanted exactly. They told us what is good, what is not, what special equipment they have and how it can be used to create these videos. What can be done better, what is not great of our product.

They discussed with me what are the new recipes I created as a nutritionist. I had to send them files with the exact recipes, the product and their quantity for a portion and step by step guide. The recipes were revised by professional chefs, because I am nutritionist and I am not as advanced in cooking methods and secrets as a professional cook.

Then they gave me a feedback with additional questions about some products that can be replaced and gave me better alternative options of the cooking process for some of the recipes. Then they went grocery shopping for the products and everything was discussed and with me - they really value my opinion and expertise in healthy products!

After that, we made a plan about the shooting days - they synchronized everyone - from the camera man, chefs, video editor, and me. The recipes were organized by type in several days. Before shooting, every detail was discussed - what photos do we want, how long to shoot the presentation, etc. The raw videos were directly uploaded in the studio on a computer, so the video editor could edit them right in fron of me and to receive first feedback.

After the shooting days, the edited photos and videos were sent to us via e-mail, on p-cloud and wetransfer; Our team revized them once again and we sent them our feedback with some corrections. Shortly after that the corrected videos and photos were sent to us.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with the CEO of the company himself, because he is personally involved in the process. Because of the great process of shooting, they could have a direct feedback about the videos during the shooting session. The videos are directly uploaded after filming and the editor edits them right in front of us.

After the shooting days, all photos and videos were sent to us via pcloud and wetransfer. After revizing them with the marketing team, we gave a feedback for some adjustments which we described in an email. The corrected videos and photos were then sent to us in a really short period of time.

The clients who bought our meal plans were satisfied with the videos and photo guides of the recipes, because they are simple and really detailed and really well presented.

Every step of the process was perfectly scheduled to fit both sides' timelines and other tasks. The communication was really smooth, we communnicated directly, or via email or viber, so the feedback was almost immediate.

They took time to explore our product and listened to our ideas; They understood from the beginning exactly what our vision was; They also suggested some new ideas to make the product even higher quality; Also, they are small company with great people, who are not only coworkers, but friends. They are really kind, with positive energy, full of passion and love for their work. It was more than a pleasure to work with them!
