Asymm was tasked with designing and developing our web-based software solution to simplifies the recruitment and management of skilled tradespeople. The solution also providers service companies with the tools to manage job postings, candidate profiles, and communication.

Asymm's main deliverables were product design, modification, and improvement, development, quality assurance / testing, and successful deployment.

Throughout the course of the project, there were 5 main milestones, each representing a significant landmark of product development. We intereacted with the Asymm team on a daily / weekly basis to stay updated and provide feedback on the progress of the platform.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are able to see the solution come together in real-time through weekly standup calls. That being said, we communicate with the Asymm team on a daily basis and they are very responsive and helpful with suggestions. We are constantly discussing the best approaches and modifcations to create the best possible solution. We are able to see tangible progress each week and have access to a staging environment where we can play with the solution and provide feedback. It has been a phenomenal experience.

The Asymm is very organized and the use of a shared Jira board is especially helpful. As a client, we can easily see which items have been completed and which items are on the roadmap. They are very punctual with feature updates / releases and I have 100% confidence in their ability to deliver high-quality products on time. As different items come up, we are able to discuss with Ari and Asymm team in real-time, most of the time we simply give them a call and speak immediately which is a massive advantage. Zero waiting around.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

To name a few, I love the customer service, high-quality work, and helpful suggestions coming from the Asymm team. Like any product development process, we are constantly iterating and the Asymm team not only engages in the actual product development but brainstorms with us on the best path forward. It realy is an all-encompassing development process from start to finish. Contrary to most other firms, I am able to get a hold of the team in real-time and don't have to always wait to schedule a meeting. In my opinion the biggest advantage is working with a partner that is ultra responsive.

Everything is also delivered at a very reasonable price point and thoroughly planned out beforehand so there aren't any surprises. Everyone is on the same page ahead of the development process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Asymm could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind. Been an A+ process all around and would 100% use them again.

Asymm exceeded expectations in their delivery of a comprehensive competitor analysis, accessibility audit and high-fidelity designs. The RateRetriever team was to implement the final designs in under 3 weeks which speaks to the quality of their work and the tight collaboration between the RateRetriever and Asymm team.

Asymm was able to deliver an exceptional design within our desired timeline and on budget. The communication between our teams was excellent. We met weekly to discuss and review progress on the project. Asymm was quick to integrate feedback and answer questions from the team.

Asymm helped us develop a custom back-end and front-end components for a web application that is designed for luxury real estate brokers created in coordination with Sotheby's International Realty. Some of the main deliverables included an admin portal for coordinators and managers to access referrals generated from broker to broker, as well as a custom mapbox implementation that visualized the different geographies and markets that brokers represented.

• The project was a large success for us with our partner and has become one of their largest digital assets that they use to generate recurring revenue and new broker sign ups. Moreover, when we needed additional features on the platform, the Asymm team was more than happy to help.

• As a mobile application, the metric of progress and success are evidenced by assigned ticket scope completed; and verified via an application build with enhancement(s) accomplished.

Absolutely. The Commnication was/is top notch; the team process is succinct, professional, complimentary to my in-house team. This achieves a smooth delivery flow and communication of sprint schedules for accurate process flow and estimates.

We're impressed with their emphasis on quality assurance and attention to holistic details, not just the ticket, but knowing to ask about possible enhancements to the ticket to make our product better. Thinking holistically is helpful to developing a successful application, doing what is scoped out on the ticket is great, but having the sense to ask questions to prevent shortsightedness is impressive.

Not at this time, everything is going very smooth.

I'm the Sr. Director of Product Development and Marketing. Our company designs, manufactures, and distributes safes for secure storage of personal valuables and firearms.

For what projects/services did your company hire Asymm , and what were your goals?

Our company has three products brands that had very dated websites. We hired Assym to help use develop a wedsite strategy and build the new sites based on that strategy. One site was also an ecommerce site.

Our main goal for the sites was to attract visitors and to provide them an experience of learning about our product and to ultimately gain sales.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Assym came highly recommended by a mutual acquaintance. After spending some time with them discussing our vision and wants; Assym was able to take that information and provide us a clear roadmap to success with project phases, deliverables, and a budget that made sense for us.

We had multiple meetings with Assym where they asked many questions and provided valuable information regarding best practices. They developed a site wireframe along with mock-ups of pages. This made it very easy for us to follow and made decisions.

They started to add our specific information to the page mock-ups which allowed us to visualize the design intent of all site pages. At the end we had a scope of work which gave us a full representation of our site, deliverables, and what would be required from our internal resources to make this a successful project.

We worked directly with a project manager along with a site developer and a designer. Additional resources were available as needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The overall design, layout, and available information made it very easy for our customers to identify the perfect product for them and to find a local dealer/store for them to purchase the product. We have noticed a significant increase in traffic and time spent on the site.

Early on in the process we had two meetings per week and that transitioned to one per week as we progressed through the project. There was constant communication between to the two teams using email, chat, and share file locations. There was also a monthly management review for status updates and budget discussions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Assym’s ability to communicated across multiple corporate levels and deliver a project on time and on budget.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As expected, there were some minor issues site functionality but once identified Assym reacted quickly and fixed the problem.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Asymm helped us develop an API for one of our clients. They guided us through the whole process and developed the solution from scratch. They primarily used AWS Lambda and Python for development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any specific metrics to share yet, but Asymm has already completed the project, and we’ll be implementing it for our client soon.

How did Asymm perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a great job from a project management standpoint. We followed an interactive and iterative process and had weekly meetings with Eric via Google Meet. We also used email and phone calls to communicate. Moreover, whenever we identified any bugs or issues, their team resolved them within 1–2 days.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with Asymm’s ability to fully understand our needs and come up with a tailored solution. They also worked flexibly and suggested changes to improve our product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that Asymm could’ve improved one. This was our first engagement with them, and everything went smoothly.
