bcalm is a medical device used to help people overcome their panic attacks within seconds. I am the commercial director.

For what projects/services did your company hire Artios, and what were your goals?

Artios were hired to optimise the website for search engines especially Google, so that we we would appear for 'panic episodes' worldwide.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

For starters, Artios was the only vendor on clutch that had written a book on SEO, but more importantly they had really good customer references that attested to delivering performance in a very short period of time! I also liked their confidence and no business approach to getting more online sales rather than running a site audit and being too technical.

They did a bunch of things I've never heard of like keywords, content PR (they got us into The Guardian, HuffPo which got us sales not just high profile backlinks), content for the blogs. The technical optimisation came later as we added more content.

Andreas the CEO Founder work with us, along with Hannah the content strategist.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Overall they 5X our traffic in 7 months and s part of that, loads of coverage online on powerful websites including The Guardian, Huffington Post which delivered 876 visits to the bcalm website in 48 hours, generating orders of the bcalm inhaler device at a 2.5% conversion rate. We got to the top of Google (worldwide) for panic inhaler, and thanks to them get a lot of sales without having to rely on Facebook and Google Ads.

They are really good at management expectations and delivering to timelines. Maybe they underpromise a little too much but boy do they deliver!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They just know their stuff and think outside of the box. SEO consultants are one a dollar, but these guys deliver. What Artios have achieved for our, then completely unknown, brand bcalm is simply amazing. Thanks to their AI technology and journalist relationships, they were able to identify PR opportunities and get into the mainstream media without it costing us the earth.

What was quite surprising was the amount of sales and brand awareness generated. As a result, we’re doing more content marketing with Artios in the UK and charging them to also promote us in the US. We couldn’t recommend Artios highly enough!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None. Hire them!

I’m the owner and manager of Cookify, an online retail company selling customized cooking equipment and chef ware.

What challenge were you trying to address with Artios?

Originally, I needed help with a rebranding process for my business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Artios helped me rebrand my business. The process included changing the logo, redesigning the website, and rewriting all its copy to better target the demographic we were actually selling to.

The copywriting side of the project took an SEO approach, which included keyword research and an SEO strategy for the content on the site. As part of this strategy, Artios also helped me write various blog articles and created a timeline for posting those articles.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two people from Artios: Andreas (Founder & Fractional SEO) and a copywriter and content strategist.

How did you come to work with Artios?

A friend of mine recommended them, so I reached out to them via email. Then, we had a meeting where I discussed my goals, and Artios told me what they could do for me.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent around £15,000 (approximately $17,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2017, and the project lasted for about a year. However, I occasionally reach out to them for advice, and they’re always responsive and helpful.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

After launching the site redesigned by Artios, I saw an increase in its traffic and Google search results ranking. We also sell customized products for cooking schools, so our inquiries on the contact page aimed at schools increased.

How did Artios perform from a project management standpoint?

Artios delivered everything on time and on budget. Additionally, they always went the extra mile by giving me a lot of advice they didn’t charge me for. We communicated via email and had frequent in-person meetings to talk about the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Artios’ professionalism and attention to detail were impressive, and they were very clear. There were some things I didn’t understand, so Andreas took the time to explain what he was actually doing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I had no complaints.

Trust Artios; Andreas is a very trustworthy and knowledgeable person.

I’m the head of communications and content for Boundless, a global employment company. We help businesses employ locally in countries where they don’t have a presence. I take care of our blogs, website, and every written content that goes out.

What challenge were you trying to address with Artios?

Because of our business’ nature, many people couldn’t understand much about our company. We resorted to content marketing and wrote about the problems people may experience, such as global payroll issues. However, we weren’t ranking for the terms that were important to us. As a result, we engaged Artios to help us with our SEO rankings from content and technical perspectives. We needed them to optimize our website and blog to be discoverable by potential customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Artios provided us with SEO consulting services. Every week, we’d meet for an hour and discuss the things we should focus on and improve. Their recommendations were based on their research, guiding us on what we had to do. 

Our engagement package with them also included checking our rankings. They looked at the keywords we were targeting and the opportunities we could get. From there, the team would tell us what we needed to change regarding technical SEO. 

As time went on, Artios started recognizing opportunities for us to create new content. They gave us briefs on certain topics that they’d developed. They made elaborate presentations on websites that ranked for certain keywords, why they ranked, and what worked for them. That served as a way for us to create our own strategies.

I found Artios through a growth marketing consultant that worked with them before. At that time, we were migrating our website, so we needed Artios to ensure everything was migrated properly. From there, they told us about their SEO consulting services, and we hired them for that.

We spent around £1,000 (approximately $1,100 USD) per month. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership lasted from February–July 2022. We paused the engagement for budgetary reasons, though we intend to continue working with Artios.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Artios helped us significantly increase our organic traffic; their work made a massive difference for our firm. Between the first and second quarters of 2022, our organic traffic grew by over 300%. We were up by nearly 100% from the second to the third quarter. It was a staggering growth. On top of that, we started ranking on the first page of search results for important keywords. 

How did Artios perform from a project management standpoint?

Andreas always presented dashboards and presentations on time. He was always ready for meetings. If we had questions, we could ask him on our Slack channel. He would promptly answer our questions — it was perfect. We also communicated via email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Andreas did SEO extremely well. He was extremely knowledgeable about it. He didn’t only do his job; he also did it to empower us and help us understand how to do SEO. Other agencies offered many things, but he was purely focused on SEO; he didn’t offer anything unnecessary to us. 

Moreover, Andreas was truly thorough in his approach. Everything was well-researched, and every piece of advice he gave us was great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be interesting to see more flexibility in our time together. Our weekly calls only lasted for around 40 minutes. After that, we had to wait for another week. Preferably, we’d like to spend more time on our questions during the initial meetings so that we wouldn’t have as many questions for him in our next meetings. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I definitely recommend working with Artios. Don’t expect Andreas to do all the work for you. While he’ll work on your needs, you should still execute strategies. When he gives you a brief to develop a piece of content, you have to develop it.
