I'm the CTO of Remuno. We are a crypto payments startup and our mission is to support online merchants and let their customers 'check out in crypto'.

For what projects/services did your company hire AOG Global, and what were your goals?

We needed to put together a team of developers quickly to build our Minimum Viable Product. Using their network of relationships in IT they arranged interviews with contract developers and I was able to create my team in around 10 days, which is excellent.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found them online after I'd been disappointed by other vendors and my own contacts who couldn't deliver in the very tight timescales. Quality of candidates, English speaking capability and quick availability were key for us.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of MVP1 was to provide a crypto to crypto payments facility for online merchants. In other words merchant customers could pay in crypto and merchants would immediately receive those payments, cleared of our fees, directly in their wallets. We started with a team meeting to communicate the project vision to the devs and we delivered in a Kanban style approach. With only five and a half weeks, sprints / scrum were not suitable for us. With respect to technology, we used Cloudflare workers, AWS lambda and SingleStore for the database. Serverless functions were written in Node Js. Both Azure DevOps and Github Actions were used to deliver DevOps services.

We hired 6 people - all Node Js / Javascript developers: 2 front-end devs and 2 back-end devs.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We made our MVP target - 5.5 weeks of develpment! Our first customer is busy integrating our payments API into their site. The team worked extremely well and very hard to get to where we needed to be. I'm not sure the management team thought we could do it, but we certainly did.

In this case, they were acting as resource providers, but their communication was excellent! We used online meetings, email and messaging to ensure that I was kept fully apprised of the resources I needed to interview, as well as the overall process of securing them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to listen and match what they heard and understood to my requirements. It's very refreshing in the IT industry not to be talked at, with vendors usually taking more time than necessary to tell you how awesome they are. AOG's team is awesome - they proved this by doing, rather than just talking.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. They were excellent at what they provided for us.
