The platform offers a comprehensive suite of features like live tracking and advanced user profiles, ensuring smooth, secure transactions and efficient deliveries.
Apart from this, there will be an admin panel to manage all the application functions, from which the service owner can monitor the different data and actions executed on the application platform and set restrictions. The service owner admin can assist the user with any issue or concern. The Application targets all types of users who want to join projects and contribute their time to impact them positively. The target audience will be users. The user role involves utilizing the GinaEx platform for travel or shipping services, facilitating deliveries, and earning by carrying parcels.

Apptunix has recently lost some people. They are disorganized. They never attend any meetings. Never even let me know they wouldn't attend. It's always some excuses. They need to assign dedicated PM's or engagement managers to the project. Apparently because they lost a lot of people in 2024, they started to assign PM's and engagement managers to multiple projects and that affected their work and availability. 

For example I would ping Reena the project manager on slack and she she told me she's busy with another meeting. Wow, thanks for not taking care of my project.

We started with the design phase where team first shown us the design prototype of the app. After approval and finalisation we started the next phase which was development. Where Apptunix team integrated all the functions of the app like book a ride flow etc. We were testing the app at every steps and giving approvals for every phase. Apptunix team is assisting us at every step and in every issue we are facing by fixing them.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Apptunix was tasked with the creation of an App I envisioned called "Daily Lightamins". The plan was that I would write daily inspirational and sometimes humorous messages. A user of Daily Lightamins would then get these messages sent to them in a random order at a time of the user's choosing. For the first 30 days, they would receive them daily for free. If they wanted to continue to receive them afterwards, they could subscribe to receive them on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. 

Here are some of the features that Apptunix had to handle to make the app: 

1. App logo 
2. Account creation including password recovery and allowing Facebook and Google as alternatives to traditional accounts 
3. Display current and past messages 
4. Make messages searchable and filterable 
5. Make messages shareable 
6. Allow the user to configure the display 
7. Allow the user to receive messages by email 
8. Allow the user to choose and pay for subscriptions 
9. Make the app available in Android and Apple 
10. Create an admin portal to allow for the management of the app and its users

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The main manager with whom I have worked has been very amiable. We have communicated often through Slack with occasional virtual meetings. The virtual meetings were more frequent in the beginning but now we only schedule them when we feel like we need one. Most items were delivered on time. The app came out in Google Play about a month later than originally estimated. 

The Apple version has experienced a setback in that Apple has asked for some redesign in order to meet their requirements. Whenever I had a requirement or design change, or found a bug to fix, Apptunix has been quick to respond without giving me a hard time. From what I can tell, they seemed to genuinely care about the app and wanted it to succeed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have done a great job with the look and feel of the app. Everyone who has seen it so far has been very impressed by it. They also did a great job with the app logo design as it really stands out on my phone compared to the bland logos that surround it. The price has been very reasonable as well considering the number of development hours that had to go into making this app a reality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Apptunix could have done differently?

Yes, they need to improve the thoroughness of their testing. The app was never extremely buggy, but some rather critical aspects of the app needed much more testing than what it was given. We also probably should have met more frequently early on in the app development stages to make sure we were still on the same page as far as requirements go.
