BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Apple Pie, LLC. We’ve created the Apple Pie app, a social media application for teachers, currently available for iOS. This app functions like any other social media; we can add friends and post and share content.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with APPSPIRE.me?

I needed help to publicize my app so people could use it, so I hired APPSPIRE.me to do that for me.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

APPSPIRE.me has created three different commercials for different internet platforms like Youtube and Facebook, and they've helped me run some ad campaigns. They’ve also written and sent out a press release on hundreds of different media outlets, which is great.

Additionally, APPSPIRE.me has contacted some influencers to get them to feature Apple Pie on their various channels, finding a few willing participants. 

The team currently helps me outline some posts for my Facebook and Instagram accounts to have some direction of what and when I should be posting, which has been really helpful.

The app has just recently been launched, so we haven’t done a lot together, and there are a few months of engagement ahead of us. In the future, they’re going to help me monetize my app and place some ads; their goal is my ROI.

What is the team composition?

I know that APPSPIRE.me has 3–4 people working on my app, but Carson (Founder & CEO) is my only point of contact.

How did you come to work with APPSPIRE.me?

I had done a few internet searches and looked for different companies. I interviewed a few different ones and asked them about their rates. I liked APPSPIRE.me because they were genuine and excited about my product — people can’t sell something if they’re not enthusiastic about it.

They offered me a wide range of services, and they were patient with me about not knowing previously about any of these efforts, so that has been really helpful as well.

I also was looking for a company in the same state as me, because I had been working with a company in India, and the time difference was difficult. I appreciated that APPSPIRE.me was based in Austin, Texas. I’m in Huston, so I can go there to meet with them if I need to; it has been convenient for me to have them in the same time zone.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent $8,000, but the total for the package of services that I purchased will be $24,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in January 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

During the first week of the campaign, my press release was picked up by 100 different news sources, which was fantastic. It was also shared globally, reaching several English-speaking countries and a few non-English-speaking countries, which was pretty good.

Being a brand new app, it feels that it has been done pretty well. APPSPIRE.me did a great job animating my commercials and choosing voiceover actors to narrate them. They’ve also done a great job sending me different reports and breakdowns of where the traffic is coming from and who has picked my press release – they’ve kept me in the know all along.

How did APPSPIRE.me perform from a project management standpoint?

APPSPIRE.me uses all kinds of different tools. We email a lot, and we also have video conferences and talk over the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

APPSPIRE.me is a wealth of knowledge in all different areas, and Carson was a former teacher, so we have a lot in common. The team’s communication is second to none; they’re timely, thorough, and awesome.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. So far, APPSPIRE.me is rocking my face off — they’re doing great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The only advice I have is to go for it; APPSPIRE.me has done everything for me. I was able to walk in on this project a complete novice, and they’ve taken care of everything.
