BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the founder and CEO of a tech startup called Menuburst. We are in the machine learning and augmented reality field, based in Vancouver, Canada.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Another Blank Page?

We basically had to do a complete rebrand and build new marketing, and make our application look and feel different. We had to do a name change and create a new web design, so we engaged them to help us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Another Blank Page is essentially responsible for the full identity of the business. They handle all of our rebrand marketing strategies and create marketing materials such as logos, color schemes, and taglines. 

They also help with our social media strategy and marketing on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. They are working to develop our LinkedIn presence now. They also help with SEO and do keyword research for us. They will be working on collateral design and printing for trade shows. They will also conduct full audits and focus groups and do UX/UI redesign using Figma.

What is the team composition?

I work with eight people: the CEO, head of social media, head of content, the public relations team, the web design team, and the application design team. 

How did you come to work with Another Blank Page?

I found them through Google. I wanted to find a local company, and all their team members are local. Being able to access our partners quickly is important to me. With colocation, you have to coordinate timezones and scheduling can be tough. Especially for the scope of this portion of the project, we needed an effective partner to coordinate and execute quickly. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $50,000–$100,000 CAD (approximately $39,000–$77,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Another Blank Page in February 2022 and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Another Blank Page has been integral in helping us reach a launching point, and they’ve become an extension of our marketing team. They will bring in talent for different purposes or expand their services to meet the needs of the customer. I can’t speak highly enough about them.

Typically there’s a back and forth with ideations on names, branding, and logos. They have delivered every single product successfully on the first try, which is really rare. They are true subject matter experts.  

The project is driven by a timeline, and they hit every metric in terms of deliverables. They submit deliverables on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We are launching the product in August 2022, and have another launch happening in the late Fall of 2022.

How did Another Blank Page perform from a project management standpoint?

They are performing superbly when it comes to project management. We maintain constant communication. They’re good at working with us to ensure their quality of work meets expectations, within our timeline. We use Trello and Asana for project management and Slack to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Originally, the scope of our engagement was just for a rebrand and website design. We’ve engaged them for other projects because of their quality of work, and our relationship has grown and evolved. 

They are truly a part of our team and vice versa. We don’t need to build out our internal marketing team when we have Another Blank Page on our side. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing they could improve on. They’ve met our expectations and positioned us for success.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to give them free rein. Allow them to come to you with ideas. I feel that if we had gone in with a strict vision of what we wanted, our brand would have gone in the wrong direction. They know so much and have so much experience that allowing them carte blanche will surprise you.
