I’m the director of marketing of a science education company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Animation Dok?

We’re in the education business, and we wanted to make marketing how-to videos, so we needed help with producing them.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After doing an initial video with Animation Dok, we decided on purchasing a bundle for a further project of 3–4 videos. To jumpstart the project, they sent a basic template to ask questions that could help them create storyboards and then made a video script based on that information.

Consequently, we went through a back-and-forth process where we checked every aspect of the production, including selecting music and a voice narrator, for instance.

We’ll continue working with them on further projects.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been working primarily with two members of their team, but there’s a team working behind the scenes, like the voice actor and the animators.

How did you come to work with Animation Dok?

We found them through a Google search. We chose them because they had reasonable pricing and a responsive chat, making it easy to reach out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $2,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have good click rates, and we can also tell that people consistently watch the videos all the way through without dropping off halfway.

How did Animation Dok perform from a project management standpoint?

Their timelines have been great, and I’m happy with their work — they’ve met our expectations. In terms of communications, they’re also great, and we use an internal project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Their cost-effectiveness is outstanding — the quality of the videos reflects a higher cost than the actual price. Also, their ability to customize their videos is impressive; I can precisely sketch something that I want them to do, and their animators will end up making it for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have more accuracy checks to ensure that the product they’re developing is coherent and suited for their client’s market, but other than that, I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Expect to play a significant role in the back and forth to achieve your desired outcome.
