Altum Agency helps us manage and remove bugs that hinder the performance of our marketing platforms in Shopify, WordPress, and Magento. Additionally, their team supports our web development efforts and customizes design solutions to fix the UI/UX of our clients’ platforms.

We work with three developers and a project manager.

My boss found their team before I was onboarded. When I was voted as a project manager, Altum Agency was recommended as a vetted service provider to rely on for the development of the platforms I was in charge of.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Altum Agency always accommodates our clients’ design requests — they’ve integrated features and implemented design tools that have already optimized different websites. Their customizations are always done on time and on budget.

How did Altum Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate via Slack and email. Altum Agency is a responsive team that promptly caters to our needs despite our time zone differences. It’s valuable to us that we’re constantly updated with the progress of our project, may it come from their project manager or developer.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Altum Agency is a very communicative team — I never have to chase them for updates. We’re able to manage the project well because of their frequent responses.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some instances wherein our code process was misunderstood, and we had to explain it thoroughly to their developers. Altum Agency could consider working on refining their understanding of our code and deployment process to avoid such challenges. Additionally, our team could also work on providing them with clearer outlines and explanations of our in-house processes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear in providing directions and information —  this was something that I could’ve paid more attention to. Altum Agency is an offshore team, so they would appreciate specific and detailed instructions to streamline their work even when your team can’t be reached due to schedule constraints.

With a very quick turnaround time we required a website of 10+ pages to be designed and updated frequently as we gained new sponsors, information would change frequently. Designs were delivered to Altum who would then build what we sent over.

Getting the pages live in the short allocated time was the primary measure of success.

Altum were very quick to respond even in unsociable hours. Whenever there was a problem on our end they were able to investigate quickly and turn around a solution.

The overall flexibility and customer service is fantastic. The team was very friendly and communicated well

Are there any areas for improvement or something Altum Software could have done differently?

I think demanding a more comprehensive or complete handover document before accepting the work would have ironed out many issues. But this is more an indictment of our brief than their work, as they turned around our project with an inconvenient handover.

All within budget and the timeframe, each step and milestone were successfully completed. It was a very open line of communication throughout the entire project with a very happy client at the end.

Great project management skills with very open communication. We set up weekly meetings that allowed updates on each milestone and allowed us to provide instant feedback on the builds. Response times were quick and helpful.

How minimal bugs were found within the build or how little tweaks were needed. Each build that they have done for us has been a smooth process and a successful, easy launch.

Honestly no, whenever we had different opinions on how something should be done or build DevOut Labs did a great job of listening and applying. When there were areas they felt strongly about, they expressed their opinion and always showed examples.

• We had weekly update meetings and they shared there progress on Slack. The customer was really happy with the end result which we delivered on a tight schedule.

Karina is our project manager and she respond within a couple of ours if w have a question. Also during the meeting she understand our problems / challenges and translate them to the developers. They always deliver on time or tell you way upfront if things will be take a little bit more time.
