Alekseon has been engaged to lead the integration, configuration, and optimization of Akeneo (PIM) and Cloudinary (DAM) to support the digital transformation of our product information and asset management processes. The scope of work includes both strategic and technical responsibilities, with a strong focus on cross-system interoperability, data quality, and operational efficiency.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Alekseon could have done differently?

While Alekseon delivered high-quality work and demonstrated strong technical skills, one area for improvement could be enhancing the documentation of custom developments and data workflows. More detailed, standardized documentation from the outset would have made it easier for internal teams to take over or troubleshoot independently post-implementation.

Additionally, as priorities shifted during the project, a more flexible planning framework (such as agile sprints or a Kanban-style tracking system) could have helped better manage evolving needs and maintain visibility on all active tasks.

That said, Alekseon was always receptive to feedback and showed a genuine willingness to improve and adapt.

I am currently the Head of Ecommerce and digital of a luxury/fine jewellery designer brand based in London, I met Alekseon in my previous job where I was the Ecomm manager for a luxury designer footwear company.

We wanted to relaunch our website as it was initially built by a third party provider and we wanted to go in-house but we were not able to hire in-house developers as the company was too small. Hiring Alekseon was the perfect solution as they were dedicated fuly to our project. The goal was to re-built our website on Magento 2 open source.

They were expert in Magento 2 and had experience working for a brand which was very similar to ours.

The day we went live we instantly doubled up or conversion rate and demand. It was a complex project but we saw great results immediately.

We were using JIRA, slack and zoom to communicate and we had weekly calls to align, plus weekly sprints to release fuctionalities and fixing bugs.

Their honesty and the will to exceed expectations.

They always said yes to our requests, despite many of these were last minute and were not ideal. I would have not blamed them if they said no a few times if our request was clashing with other projects.
