We started with research basically why users were leaving. They reviewed our analytics, talked to some of our user. That gave us a clear picture before anyone touched a design file. 

From there, we focused on rebuilding the onboarding from scratch (that was the most important thing to us) and cleaned up the main parts of the product that were confusing users. We also reworked how and where users hit the upgrade decision — that needed a proper rethink, not just a visual fix.

Before wrapping up, they ran tests with real users to pressure-check the changes, we had two iterations of tests. Final delivery was a complete Figma handoff that our dev team could actually build from without constant back and forth. Since our devs are using a lot of AI to code, the way they are structured their file also helped to speed up the process pretty significantly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

First-session churn dropped by almost 50%. That was the clearest early signal that something had fundamentally changed in how users were experiencing the product for the first time. Overall churn across the 30-day trial window came down by a further 19%. Plus to that, user were completing more success tasks and key action within the same session duration, and average weekly sessions duration was actually growing as a result. Paid plan upgrades grew 2.5x. And feature adoption across the core modules nearly tripled. The product was finally doing what it was supposed to do. Great work.

When we shifted direction on something, they adjusted without drama and came back with a clear rationale for how they wanted to handle it. That matters when you're moving fast. There were moments where we didn't agree. They pushed back when they had a reason to, and they backed it up. That's what you want from people you're paying to think, not just execute. One thing that stood out practically: they recorded every call and built an internal AI database from the transcripts. Anyone on both sides could pull up the full context of any conversation at any point. Over a five-month project, that kept things from getting lost, and somethings that saved us a lot of time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They treated the problem like it was their own. When the data pointed somewhere uncomfortable, they said so. When they disagreed with a direction, they came prepared with well built argument, not just an subjective opinion. That's a rare thing to find in a designers in my experience. What also stuck with me was how seriously they took the research phase. A lot of agencies want to get to the design work fast because it’s more comfortable to draw than dive in business and data. AGOV didn't move until they actually understood why users were leaving and what to do with that. That discipline is what made the rest of the project land the way it did.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AGOV Agency could have done differently?

Sometimes they invested too much time polishing a concept before we'd aligned on the direction. For someone who prefers to validate rough ideas fast and iterate from there, getting a more finished version of the wrong direction costs more time than it saves. Earlier and rougher would have moved things faster at certain stages.

AGOV Agency helped us redesign our website and refresh our brand. We started with a few workshops, where they took time to understand what our company does, how we work, and what we wanted from the new website. They also spoke with key stakeholders to make sure everyone's needs were considered.

After that, they reviewed our current website, including its structure, content, and overall look, and suggested how to improve it. They then built a new site structure, designed layouts for each page, and delivered final designs for each page based on its goal and content.

Alongside the website work, AGOV also created a new logo and visual branding to make our brand feel more modern, clean, and trustworthy.

They stayed involved throughout the whole development process, supporting us and the dev team, giving feedback, and helping us test the final website before the official launch.

After launching the new website, we saw clear signs of changes in how people interacted with it and our brand. We noticed a 2x increase in user engagement, and the average session time went up from just 35 seconds to 1 minute and 6 seconds. That helped us to understand that visitors were finding the new website more interesting and easier to navigate.

We also saw a 100% increase in inbound leads, which showed that the new structure and messaging really resonated with our audience.

Moreover, the project gave us a fresh, modern visual style that we now apply across all our company touchpoints, from presentations and documents to social media and more. The updated branding and new logo made everything feel more modern, polished, and professional, giving our brand a much more trustworthy look.
