What was the scope of their involvement?

AGIL f(x) is building our marketplace platform. Their scope of work includes consulting, strategy, design, development, deployment, and QA. As for the technology stack, the team is creating this platform on Bubble. This platform is a discovery tool for finding B2B influencers. Its features include messaging capabilities, contacts, CRM, availability sponsorships, invoicing, and billing.

What is the team composition?

There are two developers from AGIL f(x) working directly on the platform, but I interact with an account manager, the lead developer, and the designer. I'm sure there are other teammates working on this project, but I don't interact with them.

How did you come to work with AGIL f(x)?

Someone introduced me to them, but I don't remember how it happened. We ultimately chose them because they were affordable and extremely detail-oriented with their documentation, requirements, systems, and QA processes.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since January 2024. They're an ongoing partner, so we have no plans of ending the relationship.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure success for AGIL f(x) by assessing whether they stay on track and on budget. We see if their delivery dates are accurate and how many bugs we find when they release new features, which indicates whether they QAd their own work and were accurate with their estimations.

Thus far, AGIL f(x)'s accuracy in terms of timelines and cost has been spot on. Moreover, aside from a couple of expected bugs, there haven't been issues that wouldn't be considered normal, even when we've had a massive amount of feature releases. Currently, our product has about 500 users. Overall, AGIL f(x)'s work has met our expectations.

How did AGIL f(x) perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has been very smooth. AGIL f(x) is fairly methodical, which sometimes can feel slow. We've worked with other developers who worked fast, but the product didn't work. Even though it feels like AGIL f(x) works slowly, they're always spot-on with their estimations, and whenever they release features, they actually work. Therefore, we're probably saving time overall compared with other developers.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give a shout-out to Joe (Lead/Certified Bubble Developer), Josh (AVP), and Dyvesh (Lead UI/UX Designer).

What did you find most impressive about them?

AGIL f(x)'s accuracy, communication, and organization distinguish them from other providers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their billing system is a bit confusing in the way they allocate hours, but we've cleared that up while working with them. Although their billing system isn't actually wrong, it was a bit more confusing than it needed to be initially.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Make sure that you know what you want before working with them. AGIL f(x) can basically build anything you want, so you need to be fully aligned with your expectations before engaging with them. This is also true for any other company you work with.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new site that was built was overall a much better customer experience & looks & operates very nicely. AGIL was able to complete the work in a timely manner, & did great keeping us up to date. The design element had been a little tricky at times, but we were able to work through it.

In the beginning, especially when the new site was being built, things were always delivered on-time. Once the main developer on our project was changed after the main site build was complete, we did start to have a little difficulty with timeline on some projects, & they struggled with getting the API connections working properly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The people are very nice & great to work with, & they really did a good job with the site build. We were very satisfied with their work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something AGIL f(x) could have done differently?

Once the developer for our project was changed, is when we started having difficulty. There was multiple issues with API connections not working properly, or them having to go in multiple times & make adjustments because the lead info wasn't being sent through properly. Sometimes there was also some communication lag when they were struggling to get an API connection to work (not telling us until a week or so later that they've run into difficulties). 
However, while these issues with the API did cause us some revenue loss, they did their best to make it right by reducing our owed hours in future billing. So while this was frustrating at times, I can say they did try to make it right, which was appreciated.

We hired AGIL to build out a low/no code website for us in Bubble. We asked them to create a dashboard which allowed for simple additions in-house of new affiliate partners in our marketplace, while also asking them to assist with api connections and workflows for direct lending partners.

We launched a low code site in 6 months for less than $100k that was superior in design and function from our MVP.

We had a CRM that we attempted to build first through hiring overseas contractors, and then through hiring low-cost overseas Bubble agencies. They've delivered an entirely rebuilt application, which included gutting out an unnecessary Ruby On Rails backend, and have continued to help us build half a dozen new large features.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since bringing on Agil(fx), we have:

• Launched to market and grew to over $20K MRR within a few months of launch
• Increased our application performance & speed by more than 3X
• Reduced dozens of redundant workflows inside of the Bubble application
• Saved over $5K/mo in external resourcing to maintain Ruby codebase
• Have launched several major features after optimizing old codebase

One of the most impressive things about the Agil(fx) team is how they stick to timelines. With other developers, a feature meant to take 1 week would take 3. With Agil(fx), they have an uncanny ability to meet promised deadlines on features. We have a slack channel where you get a response in less than 30 minutes on most issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

If you've ever managed any sort of project, especially with new vendors or team members, there's always a sense of worry about whether or not things will be done well, or to your standard. With the Agil(fx) team, I was most impressed by the team's ability to effectively execute on our vision with speed and professionalism. The communication is always top-notch, and the quality of development is best in the business.

Team did a great job, nothing that I could thing to complain about in all honesty.

It will act as a talent database as well as process tracking and project management tools to aid the hiring process.

App will allow for company users to sign up and navigate the talent database and see various company and candidate profiles create basic projects, and export candidate lists. Additionally, individual professional users can sign up and create/claim their profiles.

A strong mvp that met the spec that was delivered on schedule with weekly deliverables and organized meetings and documentation.
