We needed help with rebranding and graphic design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

AGANA Studio has been supporting our rebranding and graphic design needs for many years now. For every project we assign to their team, we send them a brief, and they proceed with presenting their initial ideas and scoping methods to us through a brainstorming session. Once we choose our preferred mockup, AGANA Studio will then finalize the design and implement all solutions necessary.

We treat them as our partners and not service providers, so we never encountered issues concerning communication or project management. There's nothing I'll have them improve at this point — AGANA Studio is a dependable partner.

I’m the owner of an ice cream distribution and production company. I also do business advisory consulting to other companies in East European countries.

What challenge were you trying to address with AGANA Studio?

I needed help with packaging design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

AGANA studio helps me with ice cream packaging and POS materials. As part of the process, we sit down and talk about what the product is about and how to convey that to the consumer. I bring the ice cream to them to see what concepts they can come up with. They also create some designs for ice cream vans.

What is the team composition?

I work with one project manager.

How did you come to work with AGANA Studio?

I went to university with the owner. Food packaging wasn’t their expertise but I decided to try them instead of a high-end food brand designer.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around €200,000–€300,000 ($235,000–$352,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2014, and our work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They came to the table with very creative ideas. The team has very professional designers. AGANA’s designs were even shown in different competitions. They’ve helped me with a develop very attractive packaging. The design they created for my vans have actually one a competition.

How did AGANA Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very good. The team manages our schedules very carefully. Sometimes they give me extra services because I’m such a small company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creative design and visual communication are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They don’t have the newest technologies, but that’s probably because they don’t have big resource. That being said, with basic design they can compete with any big agency.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should spend some time with AGANA to understand the company and its DNA. If you take time to understand each other, you’ll receive an excellent end result.
