WeAre8 is the social platform that celebrates and champions good in the world. It has been created to unite and reconnect millions of brands and people, all with the common goal to make the world a better place. As Marketing Director, I lead B2B marketing in the UK for WeAre8. I work closely with the Commercial team to promote the WeAre8 brand to the marketing & advertising industry. This includes events, website content & development, production & collateral, PR & comms, awards and partnerships.

Not only were ADDVERT clearly highly skilled in brand and design from the outset of the selection process, they were also very aligned with the values of WeAre8.

ADDVERT were integral in the creation of the WeAre8 website, as well as the launch of the WeAre8 self-serve ad manager, SAM-i's online identity. We were shortlisted for 2 awards and won 1 award from the award videos that were produced. ADDVERT also were key in finding WeAre8's ‘LinkedIn voice’ highlighting our human approach, growing the volume of WeAre8 LinkedIn content & following to over 11k.

We developed a comprehensive briefing process and were able to produce a large amount of content at a fast pace.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Matt and Will are extremely creative, skilled, and passionate, and lead a hard-working team of individuals that are determined to humanise the online experiences people and brands have.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, they adapted very well to working with a fast-paced start-up that was in the process of launching and evolving their brand identity.

Our website was created over 5 years ago but had become outdated and was too basic. I was already working with a designer on the overall branding and layout however I had no one who could develop the site for us. Our goal was to create a new website which looks exclusive and more relevant by being able to show case studies as well as recent projects we did to attract more clients.

Will and his team were recommended by my designer because they already had lots of experience with webflow templates.

We had the first meeting already one day after my request and I didn’t ask another company since they understood immediately what was needed. Their approach is very hands on and they explain everything in an easy way (very important for clients like me with no idea about tech). We defined the goals and within a month already, most of the work was done.

They created or re-defined my templates, integrated all my content and photos quickly and worked on SEO implementation as well. The agency works really fast and are very approachable so that really most of the work was done within 2 months.

After launching the site and posting about it on LinkedIn, we received 1,7k impressions within a day and many likes. Most importantly, two of my business contacts got in touch to ask for the agency who did our website re-launch because they love design and functionality.

Super hands on, creative and very responsive - changes were done within a day.

They are a very dynamic and creative team with lots of ideas. Will immediately understood our style and personality and did adapt to that. They never tried to 'sell' us something just because it is trendy right now.

More eye for details however our templates were really tricky because some other external people were working on it before Addvert started structuring them properly.

We put out a notice saying what we were looking for. Harvey at Addvert called us directly and was very keen to work with us. Harvey's willingness to engage, genuine interest, and social media knowledge were our deciding factors in hiring them.

We had a series of meetings with him that produced a social media guide for us, and he was able to understand more about the organisation, its history, ethos and goals. There was then some negotiation over the contract. We agreed a schedule, which was then amended and improved. We have regular calls with Harvey to check-in on our progress and to brainstorm new ideas.

One directly, Head of Digital Responsibility - others were involved in the admin side.

Our Instagram following has increased significantly. We launched a TikTok page. We greatly increased our marketing capacity and resources.

We still need Twitter (& Facebook if possible) to be linked to the other channels

We put a brief out to a few different agencies. The main thing we were looking for was a an agency that wouldn’t take typical conference style photos. We wanted to show how fun our event was and not recreate the ‘stuffy’ videography and photography typically associated with conferences

We started with an initial meeting to talk ADDVERT through our moodbord and what we envisioned from the project. Then each day of the event we had a mini approval session to check everyone was happy with the output

We worked with Matt, James and Will primarily. The feedback process was very streamlined and easy!

Internally, the videos and reels in particularly were incredibly well received. We were so happy with what they created!

Brand positioning, digital marketing strategy and content creation. Our goal was to launch the company to the UK market with a strong value proposition and brand. We needed on-site content produced for the 3 day event to be used for marketing communications.

Addvert are very passionate about their mission to be a humane agency, which strongly aligned with our values. They were open to challenging the status quo, and were incredible and creative concepts which ultimately led us to choose to work with them.

The first part of the project involved a discovery phase where we communciated our pain points and our core strategic objectives. Secondly, we created a plan and strategy to reach our goals and prioritised. This was a huge project that involved launching our company to the UK market including branding, messaging, creative concepts, social strategy, marketing strategy, partnerships and more.

This involved photography and videography and our 3 day event. We had a strict set of devlierables to drive our marcom strategy, including on-site videos and photos.
