I’m the CEO and founder of Yumzzo, an IT company that helps travellers in Seoul discover food that fits their dietary needs and preferences through community insights and verified recommendations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Yzzo?

We needed help with our product launch and ensuring the process of launching an MVP executed smoothly. We also needed help strategizing on how to make it work from scratch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

aboveA provides weekly consulting on choosing our business direction and the resources needed for our business to be trusted on Google. The team also looks at growth opportunities and chooses the needed digital marketing verticals. aboveA acts as an advisor to ensure the process stays on track and interacts with other specialists to improve the product. We’ve started by deciding our business direction and target users. We’ve also created a product roadmap and done a competitive analysis using Confluence. aboveA has reviewed the product’s UI/UX design and created guidelines for the website using WordPress and SEO. The team has also taught us how to create a Google Business Profile, trust signals, a Google Site Kit, and Google Ads. aboveA has also taught us how to create a good article for organic traffic growth.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve successfully published our website, and the product is in progress. We’ve also managed to create a legal identity and a Google Developer profile. Moreover, we have the final draft of our product. We’ve seen steady improvement in our website traffic, page indexing, user sign-ups, and engagement about the application to see how users react to the current UI/UX design.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can explore how to create a proper website that can improve the SEO and ensure the page indexing. I’ve achieved the main reason we applied for this project, which is ensuring that we can learn how to launch an MVP properly for someone who doesn’t have a background in business. aboveA has ensured that we can create a good website and the team has also highlighted the need to have a legal entity to prove that this project is legal and ensure that Google trusts our product, even if we’ve just started. The advisor has given us good advice in detail. We’ve also learned that we need to find the topic and not just depend on the advisor. At first, I thought this was just a learning session. However, having the advisor monitor and do practical things together is great. If you want to launch an MVP, not just for learning, you should try aboveA.

If we didn’t have a time constraint on our end, we could have done a better performance within a short time.
