We engaged with Aam on developing & designing our Company Brand strategy which included Logos, color themes, representative iconography and other digital assets. We then extended their services for product packaging design and subsequently to design the website UI/UX. Lastly, Aam directed and drove the development of our company website.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At every stage, Aam worked with us to define the key deliverables. These included project timelines & milestones, points of contact for each task, strategy plans, delivery of digital assets and regular status updates throughout the engagement.

It was important to us to have a partnership founded on trust and accountability and the Aam team stepped up to this role taking full responsibility and accountability. They defined expectations, payment schedules and engagement models up front and maintained clear, professional, & friendly line of communication throughout. Together, we held each other accountable for deadlines but as is necessary for any startup, Aam Creative is flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and priorities. We agreed on scope and how to address scope changes and I'm happy to say Aam went above and beyond in delivering on our objectives.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The partnership, commitment and investment from the Aam team was a cut above the rest. Never once did we feel like just another client and we always felt that they cared for the success of our initiatives as much as we did, sometimes even more.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Aam Creative could have done differently?

I think Prana Kitchens was one of the first Aam clients to have engaged them from ideation to launch. There were minor stumbling blocks in terms of crossed expectations, missed deadlines & timelines especially when we were working on designing & developing our website development. Some members of the team were also juggling many responsibilities which also impacted focus & timelines. Partnering on defining more realistic timelines would have probably alleviated some of the churn. That said, we are glad to have partnered with Aam since they always came through and delivered a stellar product.

Aam was our digital marketing partners for both strategy and execution during their time with us, mainly focused on social and email marketing. Deliverables included monthly content strategy planning, content creation, execution and analytics. In addition, they helped with ad-hoc projects that included branding, photoshoot direction, print material creation, and packaging development.

Yes, the project management lead on the team was exceptional with staying on top of deliverables. The team was always very responsive and timely in their communications.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Aam's strength is in their cultural literacy (we were a south asian food brand) and their diverse team members who have skillsets across digital marketing strategy, copywriting, graphic design, social content creation, and analytics.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Aam Creative could have done differently?

Being a US-based business it was a little tough for us to work with many of Aam's team members who were based in the UK as some of the social media trends/language differed across borders. I would love to see more options for US based team members in the future.

I am the founder of Tocaree, a new wellness retail marketplace that delivers expert care and products outside of the treatment room.

For what projects/services did your company hire Aam Creative, and what were your goals?

I needed help putting together a brand playbook for my new business. I had worked with other branding and marketing consultants prior to working with Aam and wanted to bring consistency across all the work that had been done already. Needed help to polish everything. Also, we needed to develop a social media strategy and launch plan for the business. A pre-launch test as the business was not live as yet.

How did you select this vendor?

Afshan and Aam Creative were recommended by a colleague. They had worked together on a different project together previously.

The scope of work was to develop brand guidelines and playbook for Tocaree and a one-time social media launch setup. Deliverables included a master brand book, social media strategy and plan across different platforms, posting templates, and launch calendar.

Mainly worked with Qudsiya. She was my point of contact throughout the project.

We were able to get the master brand guidelines and the social media launch plan complete as scoped. The project was completed in a timely manner.

Had regular touchbases with the Aam team. Quidsiya was responsive and would reach out if she needed anything. I could see we were making progress each week throughout the project.

They were nimble, crafty, creative, and quick to respond.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Touch bases could be a bit longer. 30 minutes feel short. 45 minutes would be ideal to cover everything.

I’m the founder and president of a nonprofit that helps underprivileged children gain access to resources to apply to universities abroad, in countries such as the US, UK, and Canada.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aam Creative?

I needed a designer to help with my website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aam Creative created and designed the web pages of my site directly on Squarespace. I then invited them to my Notion account and sent screenshots of my preferred layouts to their designer. After that, they took my concepts and created the designs from there.

They also developed a couple of social media templates for Instagram and Facebook. On top of that, they helped me rebrand my corporate deck; I gave them the content and they created the graphics for the deck, which we used to present to our partners and donors. They designed our logo and they based their work on the brief, colors, and details I wanted, and they now continue to provide design services to us.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with two people, including Dhara (Graphic Designer) and Afshan (Founder). Our main point of contact is Dhara and Afshan is in charge of billing.

How did you come to work with Aam Creative?

I went to university with Afshan, and I knew her work from her social media account. When I saw that she was launching her company, I asked her if she could handle my project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

If you go to our website, you’ll see the pages they designed for us. Our Instagram page also features the templates they created. In connection with that, they've definitely exceeded our expectations with their incredible work.

How did Aam Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

They can do a little better in terms of project management because there were times I was confused about what they were going to deliver. They definitely needed a little bit more hand-holding at the start of the project, but things have been better now. Their project management has improved because they have a better grasp of what I’m looking for. We communicate using email and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re creative, and they think outside the box. Moreover, they’re extremely flexible and accommodating to our requests, even if they’re last-minute changes. Overall, I’m super happy with Aam Creative, which is why I continued working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

On the project management side, their team is a little bit small. However, if they have a project manager, their projects will definitely move efficiently and their timelines will improve, too.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

List everything you want them to do prior to your calls, and make sure that everything is detailed. In addition, get quotes beforehand if it’s a big project and ensure that you’re setting up milestones for each deliverable. Above all, communicate in a timely manner so that they can adjust their timelines for you.

Particle NY is a commercial production company and I am one of the Creative Directors at the company. We develop content for brands.

We worked with Aam Creative for an up and coming clothing brand. We developed all the photography assets which Aam Creative ran social media ad campaigns for. It was great collaborating with them and the work and content they built around our assets were fantastic.

The client we worked with was already working with them and we became collaborators.

We worked together to plan out the overall direction of the campaign shoot and coordinated a photographer that would be able to execute the vision. It was a team effort to get the right materials so that the Aam team could build the best assets for the marketing campaign.

We think their work building off of the assets and employing it as part of a PR push was incredible. The work was features in Vogue amongst other publications.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was incredibly easy to navigate. Aam set very clear expectations so that the back and forth collaboration became very simple to work through.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their personal touch to take their time to understand a client's needs was unmatched. Also their understanding of South Asian culture was a huge factor in developing this project, the correct references, and executing the final output perfectly.

I think everything went as per plan and would have no suggestions to change things.

I am the founder and executive director of the company.

We hired them to create the brand of the company and that entailed all aspects of brand design such as logo, colors, vision, etc. We also used Aam Creative to create social media design elements and also strategy.

How did you select this vendor?

Point of reference was an introduction through a personal contact and their portfolio

I started the work with Aam by meeting with the founder via video conference to discuss in detail the vision and strategy of the company to which she added a great deal of suggestions that helped streamline the vision. She was positive and had shared great insight from marketing perspective. She then created a breakdown of scope of work and provided me with several options to select from to create the brand.

Once I selected the branding package that was appropriate for my business she introduced me to her graphics team and I began to communicate directly with the graphics team with the founder still engaged and aware in case she needed to jump in for anything.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I primarily worked with two key people from graphics team, a lead designer and the project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Quality of work was great. The creativity was exceptional. They can create a design or look and feel of the brand by being great listeners and willingness to adapt or modify based on the clients vision and feedback. I appreciated their timely response and quick turn-around on almost all content. Even with some minor hiccups they were willing to make the appropriate changes to my liking. They provided great market research and direction and created the brand that I had envisioned. Communication has been great and response to my requests has been superb.

The vendor's team had created a project calendar with all the deliverables outlined on it including regular meetings. To note the meetings and regular email communication was sufficient to get the creative work done and in the circumstances there was miscommunication or needed more clarification the vendors setup meetings right away and were responsive. Almost items were delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The creative deck the vendor's team created which almost serves as the history of the company and how the company will flow. I was impressed by the graphics team's talent and skill sets. I was also appreciative of their communication and promptness.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Time difference was the only challenge, but other than that I don't have any constructive feedback.
