This project encompassed the development of three distinct hotel room types: a Double Queen, a King, and a King Suite that included an additional living room area. Each room required full 3D build-outs, custom furnishings, application of client-approved materials, and photorealistic lighting setup. The final output consisted of high-quality rendered images delivered to the client.

The work was executed in three structured stages:

Stage 1 – Architectural Build-Out & Clay Renderings
The architectural structure of each room was modeled according to project specifications. Based on the client’s requested camera angles, clay renderings were produced to confirm spatial layout, proportions, and composition.

Stage 2 – First Round Color Renderings
Initial color renderings were developed, incorporating selected furnishings and preliminary lighting. This stage provided the client with an early visual representation of the rooms, ensuring alignment on design direction, materials, and furniture placement.

Stage 3 – Final Photorealistic Renderings
A complete set of final color renderings was produced with all approved textures, furnishings, and fully refined lighting. These deliverables represented the finished photorealistic visuals for each of the three hotel rooms.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Despite the significant time difference between 7CGI and our team in Chicago, all deliverables for each project stage were provided on schedule. Textures were produced with care to ensure they did not tile, and material swatches were created without visible pattern repetition, except where needed. Client feedback and revision requests were incorporated smoothly and without issue. The final rendered images achieved a high level of photorealism.

Project management for this effort was overseen by my team, and all specified delivery timelines were consistently met. Communication was prompt, both in responding to messages and addressing revision requests. We utilized an online review platform that allowed us to mark up renderings, provide updated texture links, note design adjustments, and outline any additional changes. The team handled all feedback professionally and sought clarification whenever project details required further understanding.

Their ability to create amazing 3D models and seamless textures from the smallest swatches of texture, without having to request samples from the manufacturer.

From an architectural standpoint, there is an opportunity for improvement by utilizing spline-based workflows. Incorporating splines for key architectural elements would allow for quicker and more efficient updates when design changes occur.
