Valere makes AI simple for your business. We helpmid-market, PE-backed and enterprise teams scale purpose-built AI. Our work has delivered $1.5B+ in measured client impact across 400+ production deployments.
Before we build anything, we learn the ins and outs of your business so that we're able to deliver outcomes that will move the needle where it matters most. Dactic, our proprietary context tool, interviews your team and connects to your systems, so every solution is built around your workflows, your data and your goals.
Then we build the solution your business needs, whether that's AI agents, AI-native custom software across cloud, web and mobile, or the infrastructure to run it at scale.
Most agencies bill by the hour, which means they're rewarded for taking longer. We flipped that. Our Service as Software model ties our work directly to business outcomes. AI agents and proprietary frameworks handle much of the build, so work that used to take months now takes weeks. Our experts embed with you to make sure every solution fits your business and delivers measurable ROI. On top of that, we then stay to drive adoption so your team actually uses what we build. You get enterprise quality at mid-market economics, and a partner whose success is measured by yours.
It's an approach that has earned the trust of clients ranging from venture-backed startups to Johns Hopkins and Mars. Founded in 2019, Valere is an AWS Advanced Tier Partner and a top 1% vetted agency on Upwork, Clutch and G2, with 225+ experts across three countries.
Most clients start with a one- to three-week Assessment and Planning engagement that produces a playbook of three to eight use cases scored for ROI, so the first step is small and the path to value is clear. If you're not sure where AI fits in your business yet, send us a message to start with an Assessment and see where it can drive the most value for you.

Valere has also helped us with load testing and scalability optimization.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 6–10 teammates from Valere.
How did you come to work with Valere?
We found Valere through a referral. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget, they had a great culture fit, and their company values aligned with ours.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in December 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Valere has helped us achieve a 50% improvement in chatbot response accuracy through AWS-enabled iterative prompt optimization. The team has also helped us achieve a 30% increase in user satisfaction scores based on positive feedback from proof of concepts and customer projects. Valere has also helped us achieve a 40% efficiency gain in feature implementation capability based on development time. Valere has also helped us eliminate recurring platform costs from our previous solution.
How did Valere perform from a project management standpoint?
Valere has delivered on time, though we continue refining the work to meet our evolving success requirements. The team is flexible and committed to getting the work right rather than rushing to check boxes. We communicate with them through in-person meetings and email or messaging apps.
What did you find most impressive or unique about them?
Valere's AI capabilities are the real deal. Many firms claim generative AI expertise, but Valere's team has demonstrated actual competency in prompt engineering, output validation, and iterative model refinement. The team doesn't oversell what AI can do and is honest about the work required to achieve production quality.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only friction point we've had is around timeline expectations early on. Because we keep refining requirements based on real-world generative AI behavior (which is inherently unpredictable), some milestones have shifted. However, Valere is transparent about trade-offs and ultimately delivers everything we need. This is more of a reflection on the nature of AI development than on their execution.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Valere supported the build of our Ghost AI platform from concept through execution. The scope included product discovery, UX interface improvement, application architecture, and full-stack development. Key deliverables included a RAG-based chat experience for document search and Q&A, an admin panel for users and system settings, document ingestion and vector search with Qdrant, enterprise authentication with OpenLDAP and JWT, custom workflows and automations, analytics and monitoring features, PowerPoint generation, and Docker-based deployment support. They helped us shape not just a feature set, but a usable enterprise platform.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The clearest outcome is that we moved from an idea to a working platform we can continue to commercialize. We now have a secure AI assistant with document ingestion, RAG-based search and Q&A, enterprise authentication, admin controls, workflow support, and flexible deployment options for both local and cloud-based models. That gave us a much stronger product foundation and made it easier to support customers that care deeply about privacy, control, and deployment flexibility.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project management was strong overall. This was a technically complex product with evolving requirements, and Valere did a good job of keeping momentum while being transparent about tradeoffs, dependencies, and items that needed clarification. They were responsive, easy to work with, and adaptable when priorities shifted. They generally delivered on time, and when something needed more iteration, it was communicated early rather than being hidden.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What stood out most was their ability to combine product thinking with hands-on execution. A lot of firms can build features, but fewer can help shape the experience, challenge assumptions in a constructive way, and still get into the weeds on a complex AI platform. They understood that we were not building a simple chatbot. We were building an enterprise product that had to be secure, flexible, and usable in real environments.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
If I had to point to one area, it would be continuing to sharpen upfront scoping around edge cases in enterprise environments, since those details can add complexity quickly in a platform like this. That said, the team was receptive to feedback and adjusted well as the product matured.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and position.
I am the Owner of Lien Logic
Describe what your company does in a single sentence.
Lien Logic is an AI-assisted Legal Tech platform designed to help personal injury law firms automate and streamline the post-settlement lien reduction workflow.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire Valere to accomplish?
Reduce the time it takes to move from case settlement to client, medical and law firm disbursement, automate repetitive lien reduction communications, centralize provider tracking, and create a scalable foundation for the future SaaS product.
Our main goals were to reduce the 30-day lien reduction cycle, centralize case and lien data that was spread across email and excel, automate provider outreach and follow-ups, and create a scalable foundation that could eventually become a SaaS product for other personal injury law firms.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Valere supported us across discovery, product definition, design planning, technical architecture, and development preparation for Lien Logic. The work started with understanding how our settlement team currently manages lien reductions through email, Excel, Clio, and manual follow-up. From there, Valere helped define the MVP and V1 roadmap, document the business requirements, prioritize the feature set, and design the technical foundation for the web-based AI-assisted settlement workflow platform.
Key deliverables included the discovery brief, business requirements document, feature priortization and versioning plan, backend and frontend technical architecture, and development- ready requirements for case management, lien management, AI-assisted reduction letter generation, Gmail integration, auromated follow-up cadence, dashboards, provider directory, communication logs, and disbursment sheet generation.
A key part of the scope was ensuring AI was applied responsibly. Valere helped seperate deterministic financial calculations from AI-Generated communication, which was important for legal workflow where accuracy and reviewability matter.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The biggest measurable outcome so far is that Valere helped us convert a complex manual process into a defined product roadmap and technical plan that can actually be built.
Before the project, the workflow depended on emails, Excel spreadsheets, manual calculations, and manual provider follow-ups. Valere helped us define an MVP that directly targets the key operational pain points: reducing the 30-day settlement cycle, automating a large portion of the 150-200 monthly provider communications, improving visibility into undisbursed funds, and giving the settlement team a single palce to manage cases, lien holders, provider responses, and disbursement preparation.
Another important outcome was scope clarity. Valere helped seperate the MVP from future SaaS features such as mulit-tenant architecture, role based user managment, subsription billing, Clio integration, and DocuSign integration. That was valuable because it kept the version focused while still preserving the long-term product vision.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Valere managed the project in a structured and collaborative way. They kept the work orgainzed across Discovery, requirements, design, technical architecture, and developing planning.
They were responsive when we needed to clarify requirements or revisit parts of the workflow. The product touches a lot of detailed areas. This includes settlement calculations, provider communication, AI-generated letters, email tracking, follow-up timing, dashboards, and disbursement sheets. Valere was patient and practical in working through those details.
They delivered the key planning and documentation outputs in a timely way and helped us make sensible tradeoffss when new ideas came up. The team was also open to feedback and adjusted the product direction when certain workflow details became clearer.
What was your primary form of communication with Valere?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive part was Valere's ability to combine AI development with practical product judgment.
In our case, AI could not simply be placed on the top of the product without thinking carefully about risk and reliability. Valere understood that lien reduction calculations and financial logic should remain deterministic, while AI should support drafting, communication, summaires and workflow acceleration.
They also understood that LIen Logic is not just an interal tool. It has the potential to become a Sercvice as Software platform for the broader personal injury law market. Valere helped us think abou the immediate MVP while also keeping future SaaS expansion in mind. That made the relationship feel like a long-term AI Development partner engagement rathher than a traditional vendor relationship.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
There is nothing i would describe as a major issue. The main oppurtunity for improvement would be even more proactive written recaps after dense working sessions.
Overall, they were responsive, thoughtful and practical. Any friction was mostly due to the complexity of the product rather than a gap in their capabilities.

Valere developed an AI SaaS platform for a business development firm. The team built the backend in TypeScript, the AI pipeline in Python, and the frontend in React and Next.js.
The platform generated revenue; Valere's architectural decisions performed well in production; and the platform served as the foundation for the client's vision of a true human-AI partnership in business development. The team delivered a group of intelligent, creative, and opinionated developers.

BACKGROUND

I am the CEO/Co-Founder of WinMoreBD.ai
Describe what your company does in a single sentence.
I’m the CEO and co-founder of WinMoreBD.ai. We build an AI-native business development and capture strategy platform purpose-built to deliver wins to U.S. federal government contractors.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire Valere to accomplish?
We needed a development partner to build a production-ready, AWS-native, multi-tenant AI SaaS platform that automates the federal capture lifecycle. The bar was significantly higher than a typical SaaS build. Our platform handles sensitive data across tenants who may compete against one another, so strict tenant isolation was non-negotiable. We needed an architecture aligned with a FedRAMP Equivalency roadmap from day one, and an AI layer built natively on AWS managed services. Beyond the technical complexity, our product automates a deeply specialized business process with many interdependent steps. This complexity is the world that our customer live in every day as they compete for contracts ranging from multiple hundreds of millions to multiple billions in total contract value. The demand for precision and excellence is high, and we needed a partner to help us deliver.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Valere designed and built three coordinated codebases on AWS: a TypeScript backend, a Python AI-pipeline codebase, and a React/Next.js frontend. Everything deployed via infrastructure as code across staged environments, with production isolated in its own VPC. Key deliverables included: • Multi-tenant architecture with strict tenant isolation across Aurora Serverless v2, Neptune Serverless, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and S3, with tenant-scoped authentication via Amazon Cognito and authorization enforced at the API edge. • A document ingestion and AI pipeline orchestrated by AWS Step Functions, using Amazon Textract for OCR and vector embeddings for retrieval, integrated with a Neptune knowledge graph. • A conversational Bid Assistant built as a multi-stage retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline on Amazon Bedrock, with prompt and model selection configurable at runtime via AWS AppConfig—allowing us to roll out new models and strategies without redeployment. • An event-driven backbone using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge for audit logging and asynchronous processing. • A server-rendered Next.js frontend containerized on ECS/Fargate. • Complete UX/UI design, from research through final deliverables in Figma.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The platform is live and generating revenue. Enterprise government contractors are using it to make better capture decisions and win more work. The most concrete outcome: our system generates capture intelligence reports on some of the largest and most complex federal programs in approximately one hour—work that previously required four to six weeks of manual effort from senior capture managers. Our platform gives BD teams an unfiltered assessment of how well they are actually positioned to win a given opportunity, along with detailed action items to improve their position. Companies using our system are applying that rigor across their entire pipeline—no-bidding work they have no real chance at winning and focusing resources on the opportunities where they are best positioned. That decision support, applied at the enterprise level, is helping our clients implement the right strategies on the right opportunities. The architectural decisions are performing well in production, and the platform is the foundation for our vision of a true human-AI partnership in business development.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Yes, with the context that this was a genuinely difficult engagement from the start. We are building something that doesn’t have a playbook—deep vertical AI-SaaS for a highly regulated, highly specialized market. Nobody involved had done exactly this before. The co-founders were translating decades of domain expertise into product requirements for the first time. Our CTO was bridging the gap between business vision and engineering execution. And the Valere team was learning an entirely new vertical with a customer base that does not tolerate mistakes on exceptionally tight deadlines. The early weeks required resetting scope and sequencing as the full complexity of our vision became clear. We were contractually obligated to deliver an MVP to clients who had already signed licenses, so the deadlines were real and non-negotiable. What mattered is how the team responded: everyone learned to work as one integrated unit. The co-founders brought the subject matter expertise, our CTO brought enterprise software standards and served as the translator, and the Valere team brought their creativity, technical talent, and a willingness to adapt to a demanding development process. The team hit the milestones that mattered, including the deadlines gating our early-access launch. Now we’re regularly selling to enterprise clients while adding additional functionality every sprint.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The people. Valere delivered a team of intelligent, creative, and opinionated developers who are open to change, adaptive, and willing to learn why things have to be done a certain way in a very complicated environment. They brainstorm with us, execute our requirements, and bring their own ideas and experience to solving problems that are numerous and ongoing. Valere provided the team that, alongside our founders and CTO, turned a vision into working software that our clients are using to win. This is not a project that a staffing firm could deliver, and I’m grateful everyday that we selected Valere.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
The early phase of the engagement required more time to align than either side anticipated. The complexity of our vision and the specialized nature of our market meant there was a genuine learning curve for everyone involved. But that’s the nature of building something nobody has built before. The team adapted, we found our rhythm, and now we’re delivering everyday for our customers.

Measurable Outcomes / Success Metrics The measurable outcomes we defined for the project were tied directly to content sourcing efficiency, editing speed, and scalable publishing output.
The primary success metrics included:
1) Faster High-Value Case Acquisition reduction in time required to discover compelling incidents automated ranking of cases by story strength, virality potential, and FOIA ease increased number of viable body cam cases sourced per week improved hit rate of acquired cases leading to publishable stories The objective was to move from manual case hunting to a scalable AI-driven acquisition pipeline.
2) Reduced Video Production Time A major KPI was reducing the time to convert hours of raw body cam footage and supporting evidence into a publish-ready documentary video.
The intended measurable outcome was:
AI rough cut generated in minutes instead of hours faster clip identification and story assembly shorter human editing cycles increased weekly publishing capacity reduced manual labor for synchronization, narration, and evidence insertion This was meant to directly improve cost efficiency per published video.
3) Higher Publishing Volume & Audience Retention Potential The platform was also intended to increase:
number of long-form videos published weekly number of Shorts generated from each case template consistency across story arcs hook/climax quality for better retention repeatability of viral content structures The long-term measurable goal was to create a repeatable content engine capable of scaling YouTube revenue and audience growth.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project management was one of the most disappointing aspects of my experience with Valere.
From the beginning, I felt that the project was poorly scoped, poorly managed, and inadequately understood despite the fact that I spent substantial time explaining the business model, the intended workflow, and the level of sophistication required. This was not a simple website or generic app. It was a highly specialized AI-assisted media platform involving FOIA-driven case sourcing, ranking logic, evidence ingestion, multi-asset synchronization, and timeline-based video editing. In my opinion, the team never truly grasped the operational and technical demands of what they were hired to build.
A major problem was that the so-called discovery and planning process did not appear to result in meaningful alignment. I expected a serious effort to study real body cam YouTube content, review representative raw source files, understand how documentary-style narratives are built from law enforcement footage, and define what could realistically be automated versus what required human editorial control. Instead, I felt like discovery was treated as a formality rather than as the critical foundation it should have been. Many of the most important issues that should have been clarified early remained misunderstood or unresolved much later in the project.
In terms of delivery, my experience was that progress was slow, fragmented, repetitive, and often disconnected from what had actually been requested. Meetings frequently felt like a cycle of re-explaining the same concepts rather than moving toward completed, usable deliverables. Instead of seeing a steady progression toward a coherent MVP, I often saw partial outputs, shifting interpretations, and features that did not align with the actual purpose of the product. There were multiple points where I felt the team was taking shortcuts to reduce development complexity rather than building what had been discussed.
I also did not feel that deliverables were consistently provided on time in a meaningful sense. Even when something was shown, it often did not reflect the level of functionality, thoughtfulness, or understanding that I expected based on prior discussions. In other words, “delivery” often felt more like presenting something for the sake of showing activity rather than delivering a well-executed component of the actual platform. That distinction became very important over time.
Responsiveness was also frustrating. While communication existed, I would not describe it as effective project management. There is a major difference between replying to messages and actually responding to the client’s needs. Too often, I felt that my concerns were acknowledged superficially without being substantively resolved. I repeatedly raised issues about misunderstanding core requirements, lack of visible progress, weak discovery, and the gap between what was promised and what was being shown. Those concerns did not, in my view, result in the kind of course correction I would expect from a competent development partner.
Another serious concern was the feeling of scope drift without corresponding accountability. Over time, the project seemed to move further away from the original vision and closer to a far more manual, far less intelligent workflow than what had initially been discussed. Features that were central to the value of the business began to feel watered down, reframed, or replaced by simpler substitutes. That was especially frustrating because I had hired them specifically for their claimed ability to handle advanced AI product development. Instead of confidence increasing over time, my confidence decreased as it became more apparent that key concepts were either not understood, not prioritized, or not being implemented properly.
I also found the process inefficient and costly relative to what was actually demonstrated. For a premium-priced engagement, I expected much stronger leadership, clearer ownership, better requirement translation, and more tangible progress. Instead, I often felt like I was paying senior-level rates while still having to repeatedly educate the team on the same concepts and push for clarity on basic deliverables. That is not the experience I would expect from a firm presenting itself as a highly capable AI and product development company.
Overall, my experience with their project management was that it lacked rigor, lacked product comprehension, lacked urgency, and lacked the discipline required for a complex custom build. I did not feel that they adequately translated my requirements into execution, I did not feel that the most important items were delivered in a timely or competent manner, and I did not feel that my needs were truly understood or met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their ratings and ranking!
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
Yes—there are several major areas where Valere could have significantly improved the engagement.
1) A Real Discovery and Feasibility Process The biggest improvement would have been conducting a serious discovery and feasibility phase instead of what felt like a high-level requirements collection exercise.
For a product this specialized, they should have:
studied actual body cam YouTube channels and successful storytelling formats reviewed representative raw evidence files before scoping validated what could realistically be automated with current AI tools identified which workflows required human editorial control modeled infrastructure and operating costs early pressure-tested the business logic behind FOIA sourcing, ranking, and editing Had this been done correctly, I believe a significant amount of scope confusion, rework, and expectation mismatch could have been avoided.
2) Stronger Product Leadership & Requirement Translation A major gap was the translation of business goals into usable product requirements.
I spent a great deal of time explaining the vision, workflows, and intended outcomes, but too often I felt those ideas were either simplified, misunderstood, or converted into features that did not solve the actual problem.
A stronger product lead or technical architect should have been able to:
convert the vision into tighter acceptance criteria challenge weak assumptions early define clearer MVP boundaries ensure UI/UX decisions matched the operational workflow prevent repeated re-explanation of the same concepts This would have made the project much more efficient.
3) More Tangible Progress and Evidence of Work Another area for improvement would have been showing more demonstrable proof of progress between meetings.
For a project of this cost and complexity, I expected:
clearer milestone ownership visible prototypes earlier GitHub evidence and development logs better documentation of what was completed more working features instead of conceptual discussions faster iteration cycles tied to user feedback Too often, I felt that meetings focused on what would be done rather than what had actually been completed.
4) Better Alignment Between Promise and Delivery The final major improvement would be ensuring that the sales and discovery promises remained aligned with the delivery team’s actual capabilities.
At times, it felt like the initial vision presented during the sales process was much more advanced than what the execution team was realistically prepared to deliver.
That disconnect created frustration and made it difficult to maintain confidence in the project trajectory.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Valere supported us end-to-end across discovery, architecture, and execution for SportFX (AI-driven sports video analysis and performance insights). The product had been in progress for some time, and their team helped us refine the remaining scope, stabilize what existed, and accelerate delivery toward a deployable release. They led computer vision R&D and integration, developed backend services/APIs that supported the mobile workflow (including notification flows and admin tooling), and built out our Flutter app foundation and core features. They also owned QA and release hardening so we could ship frequent iterations while R&D on CV accuracy was still evolving. Key deliverables included CV pipeline iterations (player/pose/movement), model inference and data workflows, backend API endpoints and integrations, Flutter modules/builds, and test coverage + bug-fix cycles focused on production readiness.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We progressed from PoC components to an integrated, deployable foundation across the core pillars of the product. Concretely, we shipped stable Flutter app increments, implemented backend APIs (including notification support) to enable end-to-end workflows, and advanced CV pipeline iterations so analysis could run more reliably across real-world videos. On the delivery side, we established a repeatable cadence for demos, QA, and releases—reducing cross-team handoffs and keeping momentum even when R&D findings required iteration.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Their project management was structured and effective. We worked in agile sprints with a prioritized backlog, clear weekly goals, and regular demos. They were responsive in Slack, quick to unblock issues, and transparent when a computer-vision experiment needed more iteration. While the broader timeline was influenced by legacy complexity and ongoing R&D uncertainty, they consistently delivered sprint commitments and helped us regain momentum and predictability.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What impressed us most was their ability to bridge deep technical work (computer vision + AI) with product-grade engineering. They didn’t treat CV as a standalone lab exercise—they built it around backend, mobile, and QA so the end user experience kept improving. They operate with a partner mindset: pragmatic, accountable, and genuinely invested in helping us ship.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
In the very early stages, we would have benefited from slightly more upfront alignment on “definition of done” for R&D spikes (what success looks like, how results get documented, and how quickly they roll into product). Once that cadence was established, execution was smooth. Overall, the partnership has been strong.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with your partner evolve? We began with a terrific discovery process, followed by an equally strong and thoughtful UX/UI design phase. The development team went through some early staff adjustments, but once the team was fully in place, we learned to work together very effectively. Valere was responsive and a pleasure to work with throughout the engagement. Their account manager was consistently supportive, positive, and helpful, contributing to a highly collaborative experience.
In what ways can they improve? Put a clear scheduling and benchmarking process in place early and follow it consistently. It’s also helpful to have the same project manager involved from beginning to end to ensure continuity, particularly across the transition from discovery and UX/UI into the development phase. What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours? Valere is a strong and capable firm with a clear methodology and a collaborative, professional culture. Their project management and UX/UI teams are especially impressive. As with any complex software effort, it can be valuable to meet the development project manager and lead developer early to ensure shared expectations and smooth coordination. Establishing clear scheduling and benchmarking from the outset will further support an efficient, well-run process. Overall, Valere is well equipped to be a reliable partner and to deliver high-quality results.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have exceptional responsiveness and flexibility. When operational realities didn't match initial assumptions, they quickly pivoted. Most impressive was their willingness to iterate—they didn't treat designs as final but continuously refined based on our subjective success criteria and user feedback from the dock floor.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Valere could have done differently?
Early in the engagement, there was a learning curve around transportation-specific terminology and workflows. While they adapted quickly, initial designs required more revision than expected. Additionally, I'd prefer more proactive documentation of design decisions—sometimes rationale behind certain UX choices wasn't captured, making handoffs to our internal team slightly more complex.
