As soon as we approached them, we had a time locked for the very next day with the little information we provided on their forms. The call lasted about 10 -15 minutes, where the VP of Engineering had to the point questions for us to answer – and to our surprise did have 3 Resumes ready to share which we went over within the same call.
I was interested in 2 of them, but disregarded the 3rd as I did not find him to be a good fit. Ahmed (the VP of Engineering) promised to have 3 more Resumes ready for the very next day to be reviewed right after the interviews We locked with the 2 Resumes I said yes to.
The next day we had 2 back to back interviews, which lasted about half an hour and I was quite impressed with both of the candidates. In fact, I hired them on the spot and told Ahmed to hold on the Resumes he had in hand – as I was sure I’d need them in the near future.
I did go over them with Ahmed, and told him, that I was ready to interview those candidates within 2 months and he was very accommodating about it. We had our engineers within 2 days of approaching Gaper through their website – which I am highly impressed with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
It has been a couple of weeks since our scrapers are set to task. We are all set to take in more from Gaper as we have yet to approach such a dedicated team that has impressed us with their services. The speed and agility with which we were able to hire has never been this seamless before, so the impact should be quite obvious.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Although we do not qualify for their free Project Management, we were still offered a 2 week free trial with them, and now we are hooked.
We are in the process of hiring at least 2 more scrapers and probably a backend engineer to be eligible for free project management (Yes, that is how much we feel we need this!) and we have no shame in saying we’re all for taking advantage of their very generous offer.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Not only was I able to pursue 3 Resumes on my first call (a definite first in my career) but I ended up hiring those 2 engineers that I had shortlisted. Cannot get better than this. The free project management trial was another huge deal that made us want their services even more.
I was ready to pay for their project management, however, being this impressed with their ease of hiring process, I had already made up my mind to retain Gaper as my hiring source for top 1% of globally vetted software engineers.

Our connection got us on email conversation after which a call was locked with the VP of engineering. The call lasted about 10 minutes, and details were shared. Another call was locked for later in the day for 20 minutes to review Resumes.
I was impressed when Ahmed (the VP of Engineering) presented 10 Resumes in all – 7 FullStack Engineers and the rest for UI/UX engineers, with varying capabilities. We discussed each adequately and I shortlisted 5 resumes to interview for the very next day.
We set about 15 minutes per person and before I knew it, I had hired my team of engineers, save for a UI/UX, which I felt could be better. Ahmed vowed to share another 2 Resumes at least in a follow up call for the same day. After a similar process, by the next day, I had my UI/UX engineer hired as well. So all in all, 5 calls later I had 4 engineers working for CloudTalk.

Never have I ever spent this little time on my hiring process. The impact is yet to be seen, but for now I am quite satisfied with the service provided.

I ended up getting free project management for 2 months, even though I was not eligible. After the 2 months are up, I would be given a discount on it – so I have nothing to complain. The project manager has been a blessing as work seemed to progress seamlessly, even with 4 new entrants.

So far each engineer is living up to expectations of what they showed in their Resumes. The Project Manager is always readily available to answer any queries and help streamline things for us if needed. We are quite inspired by their approach to customer service to be honest.

We came across Gaper’s website and immediately booked a call to get things in motion.

The call was successful wherein Gaper’s VP of Technology himself took a detailed interview, wanting to know every need of ours. As we were both from Tech backgrounds I was glad I wasn’t fobbed off on a marketing person, who would have had limited knowledge.
I was impressed with this from the first call. The keen interest was taken in getting to know the client, the scope of a business, and the client’s needs are something no one does on the first call. Thereafter, I was given the opportunity to lock another date and time at my convenience to choose from a selection of resumes that were shared within half an hour of the call ending.
I was briefed that the second call would be a remote interview session with all selected candidates. This again was extremely impressive, as I was skeptical about their claim of a pool of 1200+ candidates. However, receiving 35 - 40 resumes almost immediately after the first call means that they know what they are talking about.
The next call was for the very next day, and Ahmed (their VP of Tech) was on a call with me again and walked me through the whole process. I had shortlisted 10 candidates to interview and within 1.5 hours of back to back interviews I had my top 7 engineers ready to start at my indication.
The reason why it took almost no time to make the selection was because of doing most of the homework and discussion on the first call. As I was also crunched for time, I too didn’t dally on any Resume I received and gave immediate feedback. Although everything was handled remotely, the response time was swift and simply amazing.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We needed 2 Frontend, 1 Backend and 4 React and Python Software Engineers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Like I earlier mentioned, I was so desperate that I had a sinking feeling that I would not be able to hire good candidates and have to make do with okayish talent. However, once I was done hiring, the project manager took over and I had a detailed discussion with him about our needs.
From the very next day, all tasks were assigned to the new hires and my internal team was kept in the loop through the entire process. All the tasks were managed well within time and the project manager never over stipulated or under stipulated the time needed for completion. In both cases of under or over promising, I feel uncomfortable to keep going - however, I was quite satisfied with the productivity from the time the team started.

As we qualified for free project management, I was happy to avail the opportunity. I’ve already mentioned in great detail in the question above so I won’t repeat myself.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Where do I begin? Doing the bulk of the discussion at the beginning saved a lot of time down the funneling process. No where did I feel, I was being led on or pushed to make a decision. Ahmed ensured I was abreast of any and every development at their end.
So much so that although I was always in touch with the project manager, Ahmed still stepped in every now and then to see if things were going smoothly. So much attention to detail is well worth mentioning. I have been working with them for the past 3 months or so, and I would definitely go back to them for every hiring need of mine.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It is more of a wish than an area of improvement. However, I feel they should expand their hiring scope and include other areas of the business as well - like their competitors. They only cater to hiring remote software engineers, and they definitely deliver on their promises, but I got stuck when I needed to hire for another department. However, Ahmed was still willing to help out in that area.

Describing our project, every phase went by more smoothly. Thanks to the team of Gaper, time was not an issue for us. They managed to deliver before the deadlines because, with an influx of clients, we were running out of time.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
4 software engineers were working with us and we were also told that at the 5th hired engineer we would get free project management. We are in discussion with the VP of GRowth as I write, because we’re definitely engaging Gaper for our hiring process again.
Despite having one project manager in our existing team, we decided to engage one from Gaper regardless. It proved to be a great decision. He was able to manage everything without putting any sort of burden on us. Plus, we got a daily report on the level of progress which made it even better!
Secondly, because we went with a team of software engineers, the project manager’s rate was reduced for us. Starting at $30/hour per Software Engineer we managed to retain our hiring budget comfortably.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The level of commitment displayed by the team is something that stood out to us. Their work pace shows how each project is integral to Gaper. As a startup that has experienced sudden growth, our company had a considerable amount of load on its heads. Deadlines were always met no matter how stringent they were.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Representatives should be available on platforms such as Facebook and its groups. Other than that, Gaper proved to be a viable solution for us. A company we highly recommend and feel no qualms about working with again.

I’m the founder and CEO of CloudLead, a lead generation firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gaper?
We decided to rebrand our entire message. We needed help to build our product and integrate necessary applications onto our software to help us automate everything from signing up, getting contact data, and communicating with our team as well.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Gaper an outsource solution integrated with our team. They did our frontend development and the UX/UI for our product. The product was developed on our side using React, Node.js, and Angular but they had relevant people on their team that helped us enhance the entire product experience.
One of the senior team members helped our developers, along with the efforts from their resources, to revamp the entire product experience and rebuild the design.
What is the team composition?
We started with two people but then we jumped to 4–5 people. There’s now a UX/UI designer and two frontend developers working full-time with us.
How did you come to work with Gaper?
They were a part of an association and that’s how I met them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend between $1,200–$1,500 per resource, depending on their experience.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2019 and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Based on the feedback my marketing team received, it has been very positive.
How did Gaper perform from a project management standpoint?
We have a weekly review of everything and set goals for the next week. They were slightly off with timelines by 2–3 days, but our communication is excellent. They’re available via phone and email 24 hours a day. They’re always on top of everything. Even if there’s a delay, they notify us 48 hours prior to it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication style and price point are excellent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should have a really good technology advisor on board or a mentor for the consultants. They’re very good at what they do but they don’t always understand the concept, like taking wireframes and mapping out customer journeys — that’s where they fall behind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have all the wireframes, technology concept, and customer journey in place, they’re the best company to work with. If you are relying on them to take over everything, you’ll need someone more experienced on the customer experience side who understands the concept and can transmit the messages being sent to them. Their team might lag behind in understanding it.

We filled their online Contact Us form through Gaper’s website. After 3 days their representative scheduled our meeting with Vice president of marketing. We discussed our requirements with them and after one week they hired 3 software engineers for us who helped us throughout this project.

We had ongoing meetings with our client's development engineer team that was responsible for the provisioning of any inflow and outflow of data integration with their systems. Data exchange elements were shared from our side and data extraction scheduled jobs were developed to provide the required data points with footmetrics - corellia API. with that done we have basic elements ready to feed that information to our data pipelines for data verification.

I was responsible to assign two of the engineers for API development, data integration and extraction for our dashboard reporting the other engineer was responsible to ensure the authentication, functional, load and up-time of our data sharing APIs

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Once we were able to complete the handshake between our servers and clients retail system through API integrations and the results were shared through our analytics platform, our clients were able to monitor their majority of KPI in a single platform in the form of real-time automated reports that resulted in saving a lot of their time to extract performance matrices from multiple sources and then combining in the form of excel sheets.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The engineers we were assigned were easy to communicate with and responded to us on time for our queries. We used Hubstaff & slack to manage their day to day tasks and performance. Moreover, we had Monday morning virtual meetings to discuss workflow and goals.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The engineers were highly qualified and creative enough to add to our project demands and capable enough to convert our ideas into a working feature. Due to their quality of work we were able to pull off this project on time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We were satisfied with their work performance and professional attitude. In the future we would like to work with Gaper again.
