We partnered with 10Clouds to help us build a new platform centered around digital avatars designed to support users through a variety of real-life situations. Because our product touches sensitive categories and involves U.S. regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and COPPA, it was essential for us to work with a team capable of adjusting their development processes to meet these standards. 
While 10Clouds was not initially familiar with all of the specific health-related regulations, they were quick to learn, adapt, and implement the necessary workflows to ensure compliance throughout the project.
Their design, mobile, and web development teams have delivered exceptional work. Communication has been one of the strongest aspects of the collaboration. 10Clouds is transparent, proactive, and structured in the way they share updates, risks, decisions, and progress. We always know where things stand and what to expect next.
Our project involves evolving ideas, emerging technologies, and several unknowns. The 10Clouds team has shown remarkable adaptability in navigating these challenges. 10Clouds approached our project in a completely holistic way.  They looked at perspectives from all stakeholders.  This 360 degree approach to managing our project to insure that it moved according to plan was something I didn't know I needed until I saw the way 10Clouds used it to increase efficiency and output quality.   

Are there any areas for improvement or something 10Clouds could have done differently?

This has been the hardest question of the review.  There may have been some small annoyances along the way, but I honestly can;t think of a single issue that would prompt me to ask them to change something.  10Clouds also asks us this question on a regular basis and I struggle answering it for them too.

Given our constrained resources, it made more sense for us to offload development activities to a development shop than to start building an internal development team. Therefore, I decided to hire 10Clouds. Our main goal was to get to a testing product as soon as possible.

10Clouds provides me with development services. The team has also helped me design the frontend of our app, which is the side our users see when they interact with our product. Initially, I just verbally told them what I needed, and they were pretty good at filling in the gaps. The technology stack used includes JavaScript and Rust.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our business is not live in the market yet, so there's no impact yet. However, I'm very confident that the project is going the right way. In some cases, 10Clouds has exceeded expectations, so everything has been good.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

I've been very happy with 10Clouds. Compared to their competitors, their prices are very affordable. Moreover, they've delivered on time and on budget.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

The entire 10Clouds team has been great. In the beginning, Aleksandra (People Partner) helped me a lot with the product positioning and the pitch deck. Moreover, Michal (Member of the Management Board) has been great with backend development, although I still need to work with him to have a better assessment. The team has also been great with managing the frontend side, which is great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds has surprised me with how well-prepared they are for everything. Initially, I expected to teach them a lot. However, it seems like they did a lot of research beforehand. Therefore, our calls are always sufficient.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing 10Clouds could improve on.

I don't have any particular advice because 10Clouds is able to guide their clients through everything. I can simply recommend them.

The scope of work was divided on two main parts: creation of a high-quality prototype builder for our product and design and webflow integration for our website. The first one consisted of UX audit, analysis and design proces (creating a layout for the application, creating consistency, making sure the system communicates properly, creating a library of simple components). 

The second one was focused on revamping UI of the home page and subpages on the basis on visual solutions developed elements of our existing branding, and supplementing the UI Library with new assets.

Our cooperation went very well. 10Clouds team performed the order in compliance with the highest standards, according to our expectations and completed it on time. We are happy with the outcome.

I came up with an idea and contacted 10Clouds for guidance on implementing it.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

My business has been working with 10Clouds to develop a web application. The platform lets users withdraw their stock from their crypto wallet through a trading system.

We had a four-month discovery phase and explored all the possibilities and features. My idea initially wasn’t crystal clear and changed a lot within the discovery phase. I knew that I wanted to issue stock on the blockchain. 

Following the discovery phase, we moved on to the development of the application. They used Python and Solidity, which is a language designed for developing smart contracts.

I’ve worked with 10–15 people from the 10Clouds team, including a tech lead, a smart contract developer, and frontend developers.

I took a huge risk starting this project, but 10Clouds has delivered. At the beginning of the development process, there were many uncertainties due to unclear details. However, as we progressed, we clarified and resolved those issues.

Although we exceeded the initial budget, I monitored the development closely and comprehended the reasons for the overage.

Their team of experienced developers provided valuable assistance.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some team members left, and we had to onboard new ones, causing a slight delay. But given the current market situation, it's understandable.

They have a responsible management team, and we work with a project manager who communicates closely with us to ensure the project meets our expectations. I think we’ve managed to present the progress of the project very well and on a regular basis. We have weekly updates, and 10Clouds responds to our feedback and new ideas very well.

This has been a very complicated project involving many discussions, meetings, constant feedback, and adjustments. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The actual hour and cost span ended up being more than we were expecting. 10Clouds communicated that in advance, and we were understanding of the situation. They’ve also offered solutions from their management to make sure we’re okay with everything. We've had some issues, but they’ve been able to work through them to help us get our product in time.

I think you need to consider a big level of engagement with them to ensure they deliver something that meets your expectations. The more engagement you have with their team, the better.

I’m a founder and executive of a cryptocurrency-backed collateralized lender. We specialize in cryptocurrency-backed mortgages and cryptocurrency-collateralized funds.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

We needed to develop our full suite of products. We’d just fundraised our seed round, so we had to build our website, manage integrations, and create internal technology to support loan servicing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds helped us develop a web and mobile app from scratch. We utilized their design, development, and copywriting services. The team orchestrated a complete custom build. They were responsible for 3D animations and UX/UI design and provided additional support with marketing materials. They used Figma for the design components of the project. 

First, we went through a series of calls to review the product’s features and share an overview of our vision. We had a baseline idea of how the product should look, but we were integrating it with various backend providers to help build our custodial trading solutions and other product parameters. 

We weren’t sure how to go about the integration, so we planned to design the website’s functionality and work backward from there. 10Clouds supported us through an ongoing discovery and design phase that started with a product mock-up. Then, they uncovered the technology pieces, handled integrations with third-party providers, and helped us build databases to manage certain product components.

The app enables users to create and manage their accounts. Users can also utilize the trading functionality for cryptocurrency assets. We also have a loan servicing feature as a backend tool for users to submit loan applications.

We worked with a team of 14: two project managers, two graphic designers, two UX/UI designers, one technical lead, three backend engineers, two frontend engineers, and two QA engineers.

We found 10Clouds through a referral from a friend. We were impressed with the results of their partnership, so we decided to hire them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the app yet, but everything 10Clouds has built functions as expected. Moreover, our investors have been very impressed with the product’s clean UX and ease of use. While it’s not live yet, the initial feedback has been top-notch.  

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t know how complicated this project would be, so we didn’t have a set budget or timeline. I’ve worked on other technology products and can say that 10Clouds worked efficiently and didn’t waste time. 

We used Jira, Asana, GitHub, and Miro to manage the project. We also met for daily stand-ups. Their in-house team was awesome; we communicated through Slack and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with how involved and communicative they were. We worked together effectively, and 10Clouds was invested in the product’s success. They consistently went above and beyond for us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t fault them for this, but one of our best project managers from 10Clouds took another job. However, they replaced the project manager with an equally qualified individual. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d discourage you from handing over the project and walking away. You’ll get more value from the partnership if you’re more involved and hands-on. You get out what you put in, so I recommend getting involved and meeting for daily stand-ups.

I’m a department head at a manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

We needed someone to help us with custom development for web-based tools.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds has built software tools for us so that we can configure the control system we’ve been developing. This system is an electronic, web-based software system that allows users to interact with our product. To use it, they log into the system online. Once logged in, they can configure the hardware we offer.

Initially, we provided 10Clouds with the proof of concept (POC) for our control system, and they modified it, making them a commercially sustainable product. For this project, it was critical for us that the product looked fancy. Thus, their team has focused a little bit on UX design, although their primary focus has been backend development. Additionally, they’ve helped us with some development tasks related to our marketing website.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 4–5 people from 10Clouds at any given time, depending on the project’s phase. People on their team have different areas of expertise, so we’ve worked with different resources, including a backend developer, a UX designer, and a product delivery manager.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

10Clouds was already working with us on our marketing website when this project arose — another team within our company established that contract. Thus, after that project, we decided to hire them to create a custom app for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them on this project in August 2022, and the project will be completed in January 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched the control system yet, and we plan to use it for a pilot project. Still, we’re very confident that everything will work well because we’ve tested every new feature 10Clouds has delivered. Although we’ve found bugs every now and then, their team has quickly addressed and solved time for us. Overall, the entire project has been very good.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

10Clouds is great regarding communication. We have weekly progress reviews and use the same platforms to address items and improvements. For example, we’ve joined a Slack channel and a Jira board, which are our main two collaboration platforms. Moreover, we use Microsoft Teams for video calls. Overall, ours is a close collaboration, and we operate as a single team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds’ speed is impressive; they’re able to quickly assemble teams with all the backgrounds needed for the project at hand. Within a few weeks, they managed to put together a team with expertise in frontend development, backend development, and UX design to work on our project. Moreover, that team was able to understand what we needed with very little input, so we didn’t have to put in the extra effort in writing detailed requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if 10Clouds improved their hour tracking. They usually provide time estimates and send us the invoices afterward. However, that approach can be challenging because we have to monitor the hours ourselves because we’re not working on a fixed budget. Initially, we considered asking them for a fixed price for the project, but they preferred working on an hourly basis. Thus, my advice would be to provide us with more insight into the hours they use.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

10Clouds bills per hour, so you have to check the invoice monthly to see how many hours they have spent. Other than that, I recommend working with 10Clouds; they have various areas of expertise under one roof.
