I’m the co-founder and CTO of Quesmed, a company that focuses on medical school education. Our goal is to make preparing to become a doctor much easier and less monotonous.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

We had a previous software development partner, but we were unhappy with their team. They didn’t meet deadlines, and the project took much longer than we expected, negatively impacting our business and revenue. 

We were looking for someone that could deliver our vision within a timeframe. We needed help developing our product for the web and mobile devices.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds has helped us create a brand new extension of our platform. Initially, we’ve only focused on a web-based solution, but as we’ve become more confident with their team, we ended up building a new product together.  

They’ve developed a social education app that allows a group of students on a voice channel to go through clinical scenarios and undergo tests. We aim to make it easier for medical students to work together and have the opportunity to train and practice with students from around the world. 

10Clouds is using React to develop our platform, and they’re helping us with some machine learning (ML) tasks using Python. They’ve also built our mobile app for Android and iOS.  

What is the team composition?

We work with two project managers, two React Native developers, two React web developers, one ML engineer, and a senior ML engineer.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

We were looking for developers in Poland because we had a good experience with Polish vendors regarding cost and quality. We came across 10Clouds from their Dribble account, and we were drawn by their expertise in education platforms and their intuitive mobile app designs.

We’ve spent about £125,000 (approximately $171,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve started working together in June 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

10Clouds’ work has helped us increase our sales by about 550%. I’m 80% satisfied with their work. Overall, they’ve done an excellent job — they’re very engaged and quick to act. 

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

10Clouds is very good at project management. We have two project managers working with us, and they’re absolutely on point. They lead meetings and ensure tasks are documented within Jira — they even chase us if we’re busy and their work needs feedback. We use Slack to communicate and Google Meet for weekly meetings. 

Initially, we’ve only had one developer, so their work hasn’t been as rapid or thorough as we wanted. We’ve highlighted our concern, and they’ve changed their developer and made their road plan clearer through frequent meetings. They’ve recognized that minor issue, corrected it, and we’ve been delighted with their work since then. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds’ ability to tap into anything we need at a moment’s notice is impressive — they’re proactive at helping us grow. In addition, they’re very flexible and responsive about issues, including cash flow concerns. 

There’s a camaraderie between our teams — we feel that 10Clouds is invested in our product as much as we are. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea of what you want, and have multiple different versions of that. Be open with your goals and budget, and they’ll help you identify what they can work on considering your constraints.

Our client approached us for support with enhancing their iOS app which is compatible with their newest product. At the time we were slightly understaffed and we reached out to 10Clouds for an iOS mobile app developer, who was then quickly onboarded.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

We work with several software houses, helping each other out when resources are tight. In this case, we had a need for a skilled iOS developer and we immediately thought of 10Clouds.

Project for the client in the entertainment industry that features iOS mobile app development for photo enhancement. It needed a fast and stable application to satisfy thousands of users worldwide.

We deployed a fast and stable iOS application that is reported to have thousands of active users.

The workflow was highly effective, with strong communication throughout the process of the project. We always felt that the 10Clouds' developer was aligned with us on our mission.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

10Clouds was able to provide an iOS developer quickly. We were also impressed with their efficiency.

Not that I can think of. Everything was completed with utmost quality.

I’m the COO of Semble, a B-Corp Limited company. We help businesses connect with grassroots community groups to make change happen in society. We’re based in the UK, and our operations are mostly in the UK, at the moment.

We run an agency model whereby we have project managers who work with businesses to help them achieve their aims with regards to corporate social responsibility and marketing. Our resources craft storytelling around the work that our client businesses do in their local communities.

We build and maintain a network of community groups that we support for free with resources, training, and events. We’re a bridge between businesses and community groups.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

A company will come to us with a pot of money that they want to give away to the local community, and we create a plan for them. We charge the business quite a lot for the service, and that means that money that could have gone to local communities goes to us. This means that fewer businesses are willing to work with us.

From our perspective, our business problem is that we can only service a small number of the available business opportunities at any given time.

Our solution was to digitize a lot of our processes to expand our bandwidth and reduce the fees for customers to work with us. We’ve created an online marketplace that enables businesses to connect with grassroots community projects and distribute funding in a fast, efficient way. We take a commission on the money that they distribute. 10 Clouds has been our chosen development partner from the beginning.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds came on board to do the technical build of the website after we’d done a lot of specification and design work. We handled the project design and management while they contributed UX/UI support and advice, as well as front- and backend development, DevOps, QA, and project management.

The website enables users — both funders and community groups — to create a profile, log in, and then create your fund or create your pitch for funds, depending on the type of user someone is. The system then matches a funder with projects that meet their criteria and then allows them to short-list and ultimately select their chosen recipient.

It was important for us to have a clean, simple, slick platform with progressive data gathering that didn’t overwhelm users from day one. One of the key features for community groups is that they can create a video pitch rather than fill out a lengthy form. We don’t have the video capability natively in the platform right now, but users can embed a link from YouTube and the video will be displayed on the site. There’s also a countdown feature for funds that are due to launch, expire, or complete.

At the moment, it’s just a web product. 10Clouds worked in React.js for the frontend and Python for the frontend. The site is hosted on MySQL and AWS. There are many more features we want to include in the future, but 10Clouds has delivered a good MVP.

What is the team composition?

There have been a maximum of 10–11 people on the project, including a UX designer, two frontend developers, two backend developers, a QA resource, a DevOps engineer, a couple of technical leads, and a project manager. 

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

They were a recommendation from my network. We spoke to 2­–3 different companies in the same region, and 10Clouds impressed us with their investment and responsiveness in the sales process.

Additionally, they stood out with their description of their management style, which has proven to be true throughout the project. 10Clouds understands that the market is hot for talented people in Poland and that this represents a challenge for them, but they go to significant lengths to develop and maintain their staff.

We’ve spent around £200,000 (approximately $282,000 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

All in all, we don’t have a defined set of metrics, but the site is always up. 10Clouds delivered functional software within the timeframe and budget that we needed. The real test will come as the number of users goes up and the load increases.

We just launched the platform and received our first users. We’re gathering feedback from users as well — some comments are feature requests and others are bugs, but no more than we expected.

I wouldn’t say that our use case is dramatically challenging, and therefore hasn’t given 10Clouds' team an opportunity to show their extraordinary technical abilities, but they’ve done very well with what we’ve asked them to do.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very clear and transparent. We have weekly reviews so we know where we are — this allows me to provide absolute clarity to our stakeholders on our spending and forecasted spending. 10Clouds always come in exactly where we expect them to.

We communicate over Jira and Confluence and have our weekly call over Google meet. There are also various phone calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve been impressively transparent about cost. When we presented them with a cost squeeze halfway through, 10Clouds very quickly shuffled the team and scaled back on expenditures for a couple of months while we found more investment. When that came through, they scaled the team back up.

We’re a small, lean organization; we don’t have a bottomless pit of money, so 10Clouds responsiveness and flexibility have been exactly what we’re looking for.

Additionally, their engagement at the senior level has also been very helpful. They blend technical expertise with account management and flexibility.

Are there any areas they could improve?

10Clouds could bring even more technical expertise to solve complex problems quicker perhaps, but we haven’t given them much of a chance to do so.

The platform helps organizations managing projects and contractors. They provided front and backend development resources right after the launch of the platform. Currently, they’re responsible for DevOps infrastructure support, among other things.

We’re still in startup mode, so I don’t have particular statistics or metrics to share. They integrate well with our team. Their developers’ thought process is outstanding, and they’re effective in implementing the code. Additionally, they provide feedback to our design process — things are moving along at a nice pace.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Clubhouse for project management and Slack for daily communication. Their performance has been flawless so far.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re aligned with the culture of our company. The developers take pride in their work and are responsive in fixing defects. They also have strong technical skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Communication is something we always strive to improve; that has been our main feedback to them. It’s a two-way street, and we’ve seen progress during the project.

I strongly recommend them to someone looking for long-term staff augmentation — they’re great partners.

I’m the head of product for Semble. We’re a nonprofit community platform for grassroots community projects, and we help find support from local businesses and volunteers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

10Clouds built and tested a prototype platform for us. We provided them with a clear list of features that we wanted to see in the MVP, and they created a web-based application that automates some elements of the funding service process. It’s a digital marketplace that allows funders to connect with and fund local projects looking for support. We’ve continued to work with them.

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of approximately 10 people, including a project manager, back and frontend developers, DevOps people, two tech leads, and a QA.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

A colleague recommended 10Clouds because they had good reviews online. They marketed themselves well and put a lot of effort into their ratings and customer feedback on various tech review sites. We had several conversations with them regarding initial estimates and their scope, and we decided to work with them.

The MVP building cost approximately $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around January 2021, and the first MVP scope of work was completed in May 2021. Our relationship with 10Clouds is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The MVP was launched a couple of weeks ago. We’ve had positive feedback and testimonials from the first users, saying that it is easy to navigate and has a good look and feel — they’re willing to recommend it. The old way of delivering our funding service was manual, and it had high friction. The process involved a lot of time, which translated into more cost for our clients. This platform reduces that processing time with automation.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is one of 10Clouds’ standout qualities. I was nervous about working remotely with a team that wasn’t a native English speaker. However, communication has been extremely strong and clear. They’ve provided full transparency on cost, allowing us to monitor and adjust different variables on our end on a weekly basis. We have a good working relationship with their project manager as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds is dedicated to its customers. They’ve made it clear that they’ll do whatever it takes to ensure we’re satisfied with the overall results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Due to an external shortage of developers and designers, we’ve had minor delays in finding the right talent for UI/UX roles. However, 10Clouds has managed it well, without there being any actual shortages or blockages.

Be as clear as possible on what you want to do, be transparent, and have people established on your side to help the project carry on as smoothly as possible. 10Clouds can help you build out the scope if you need it.

For what projects/services did your company hire 10Clouds?

We'd decided to run UX/UI audit for our platform to see if users can interact properly with it, if we have any major issues or 'design bugs' there.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

10clouds was the creators of another design we found as a reference in the web, we'd loved their competence in apps UI/UX design, so it was pretty much obvious decision to select them for our project.

We quickly discussed everything about the project, met 10clouds team and started to work. There are not much details here because all project have passed very quick and smooth.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

10clouds managed to find 50+ UX problems in our design which was crucial and it helped us a lot when we decided to make full redesign of our platform. Also we've learned a lot about from their feedback which is awesome and valuable, now we can construct our platform keeping in mind some rules to follow.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their workflow was 10/10.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Probably their friendliness and how good are they in some things, especially accordingly UX design. I'm intrigued to have more projects with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A lot of agencies struggle with the same problem, but it's price policy, especially how clean and understandable is it. UX/UI audit was a clean offer with stable price, but another projects has very versatile price policy which is good and bad at the same time.

We wanted to make an MVP of our platform that helps athletes assess their physical shape and readiness to help them achieve peak performance.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We built a cross-platform app using Flutter and Firebase. In a kick-off workshop, we provided 10Clouds with our research material, as well as a simple design wireframes and sketches. They presented their research material as well and then helped us create further design and wireframes. Ultimately, they designed the final version of the MVP.

What is the team composition?

We worked with six people, including a project manager, account manager, and a senior Flutter developer.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

We’d worked with them before and were satisfied with the outcome of that collaboration. When we spoke 10Clouds them about this project, they had great ideas and we felt that they understood what we wanted to achieve.

We spent around €40,000 (approximately $49,000 USD).

We worked together from January–April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We had a goal to launch by the end of April, and we were able to launch a couple of weeks early. There have been no reports of crashes either. 10Clouds met all the KPIs.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional and structured, resulting in a fluid project that finished under budget and ahead of schedule. We followed Scrum principles, having weekly calls for several things, such as planning and review. We used Jira and InVision and communicated via Teams, Google Meet, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were passionate about the project, giving more than we asked for regarding research and ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always room for improvement, but nothing specific comes to mind.

Have a good plan and share your ideas with 10Clouds, but also give them space to bring their own ideas to the table.

I am a Senior Brand Designer at Samsara. Samsara is a company that develops sensor systems with remote networking, and cloud-based analytics. Our platform enables customers to run their operations from the cloud by capturing data using sensors, cameras, and integrations, and surface insights using AI-powered analytics.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire 10Clouds?

We hired 10Clouds to help us create a 3D animation that would live on our homepage and serve as a talking point for our sales reps.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of this animation was to communicate our overall platform and all of its features at a glance. We wanted to be able to show our customers what a connected operation could look like in an engaging and interesting way.

SOLUTION

How did you select 10Clouds?

Our team reached out to a couple of freelancers but we landed on Igor ( 10Clouds Lead ) because we felt like his style matched with our initial vision. We were initially hesitant about the time difference and language barrier but were pleasantly surprised at the initial pitch and project scope that Edgar had put together. The team put together docs that outline the project scope, cost, and timeline in a clear and concise manner which made the decision to work with them much easier.

Describe the project in detail.

The initial scope was for us to start with a still model - we provide the team with a rough sketch of what we were looking for and examples of objects we needed 3D models for. The process overall was very smooth, over the course of 4 months we only had to hop on a few calls, which was amazing given the time difference. All direction and feedback were done through a private slack that 10clouds set up. The project went over scope largely because of our stakeholder feedback but 10clouds was patient and would still hit our deadlines even after feedback was drawn out.

What was the team composition?

We were given 3 very talented designers and animators and 1 project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The animation came out amazing - our employees and customers loved it. Sales uses it a lot in their initial pitches and we're continuing to build out and expand on 3D model usage into our design system.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been great, especially considering the time difference. We generally use visuals and google docs/slides to communicate changes. The slack channel has been amazing for us to connect and give feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am always amazed at the team's patients and ability to fit us in even if feedback is late. The team is always eager to start new projects and we're excited to continue to build with them.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The team is generally great at attention to detail, but there were a few revs where items were missed. This could possibly be because of miscommunication but shooting over screenshots before animating or fully exporting out could help avoid unnecessary revs.

I’m the CTO of Cred, a crypto-lender. We take cryptocurrency offered from people and give them interest and a line of credit. We also create loans based on cryptocurrency.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

We needed staff augmentation services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided staff augmentation services for backend development in Python and frontend in React and JavaScript. They did the code base with my team as a part of developing the lending application. The application allows for the onboarding of new customers and proper management of their wallets. There’s also a component where they can create programs that are investments of their assets to get a line of credit and pay interest.

Furthermore, we did one project using VoE technology which is also JavaScript and different technologies. Lastly, they did DevOps also by setting up an Amazon, automation, and the continuous integration (CI).

What is the team composition?

There were between 2-10 people. We wanted to be able to be flexible — grow and shrink based on projects that came in. They participated inside our scrum teams and provided senior developers, project management, and developers.

How did you come to work with 10Clouds?

They worked with me in the previous company I worked at. When I came to this company, I continued my relationship with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $300,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March until November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I measured it by the quality of the developers they supplied, the quality of the code, their ability to correct mistakes and take responsibility for those mistakes, and to help as a partner in getting the project done. As long as I get the same level or more that I’d get from a full-time employee, I’d be happy. We get very high-quality developers; they’re experienced and are independent contributors. They really help a lot. I’m very happy with their performance and I’d definitely work with them again.

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

Their account manager had a weekly meeting with me to go over the scope of the project. There’s a project manager that was directly involved in the project and participated in the scrum meetings on a daily basis. They solved any problems that came up. Whenever we encountered something that wasn’t exactly done as expected, they took responsibility for it and corrected it on their own. We communicated via Slack. There was never a point where I couldn’t get a hold of somebody.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re flexible, agile in finding high-performing developers in a short period of time. They’re able to deliver, as well. Experienced in management, they’ll help guide the project for people who have less experience in technology management.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for them to improve. They met my expectations.

Our organization is focused on changing the way teachers create content. Our product allows teachers to create engaging worksheets that they can share with their students and fellow teachers. I’m the CEO.

What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?

We were looking for a quick way to locate a senior frontend developer for our project, and that’s where 10Clouds came in.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The senior frontend developer from 10Clouds handles all the development of the website itself, as well as the new features we’re currently circulating out to the product. We’re working on Angular. A little bit down the road, we also added a UX/UI specialist who’s working on the project as well.

Together, we’ve developed a Google Drive app. We’re also revamping the homepage and some other aspects of the website.

I’ve been in communication with their CEO as well as with their project manager and client success manager.

We were referred to them by another entrepreneur we were in contact with, who’d worked with 10Clouds in the past and found them to be highly professional.

We’ve been working together since June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Most of the features we’ve rolled out so far have been very popular. We’ve had around 16,000 downloads on one of our most recent app releases. 

The project is still a work in progress; we didn’t have a lot of development force before working with 10Clouds. In general, it’s been going very well. We don’t have any specific metrics right now, but we’ve seen a big increase in our ability to roll out new features. 

Overall, we’re very happy with the people we have on the team right now in terms of communication and deliverables and the fact that they keep to their estimations on their time delivery. Everyone on our team is very happy with 10Clouds’ contribution, and we’re even looking for additional people from them. 

How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s taken us a bit of time to work out the best project management strategy for us, and we’ve ended up switching project managers, and everything is working out now. We’re using Slack to keep in touch. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

10Clouds has an excellent ability to find the right resources for our projects. If we need someone who’s an expert in a certain area, they’re able to locate someone who’s not just an expert, but who is also easy to work with. Their ability to find talent that’s also a match in terms of personality is most impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At this stage of our relationship, we don’t have any criticism or anything they could have done better.
