Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the COO of a custom neon sign company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zynala?

We work with custom items, and it takes a lot of time, energy, and resources. The goal of the project was to implement more technology models within our website to help us have less contact with customers. We also wanted to give our users a better experience customizing their signs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have several websites running on WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify. The project was to create a customizer — an A-to-Z tool that would allow users to create a neon sign themselves. They’re able to enter the text, choose a font, color, backing, and any kind of option that helps them do it themselves. In the end, they see a preview of their sign.

Our website was already running, so they created a widget available on our website. We are constantly improving the widget to provide a better experience.

What is the team composition?

I work with Laura (Managing Partner), and I’m also in touch with two developers.

How did you come to work with Zynala?

A friend of mine recommended them because of his experience with them. I got in touch and saw they were very responsive. I checked their previous work briefly, but my needs and specifications were so precise that it was hard to compare them to something that already existed.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2020, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project has been successful. We had malware on the website, and although it was out of their scope, we asked them a few questions and they were there for us. We know we can always count on them. Another time, when the website was down, they worked day and night to help us get it back online without asking for any remuneration beforehand. We really like their approach. They are very human and very professional.

How did Zynala perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Skype to communicate with them anytime we need. They always meet deadlines, and if they encounter any challenges, then they let us know if there will be a delay. We try to anticipate that anyways, so it’s not a big deal.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We get exactly what our specifications call for, which is nice. Where other providers may tell us a request isn’t possible, Zynala always tries to find a solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so. I think it is good so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come with a precise brief and specification. They know how to do the job, but the person that comes to them needs to be prepared.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I own an Online Marketing company with the business model of doing all the consulting and planning while outsourcing Design and Programming.

For what projects/services did your company hire Zynala?

We hire Zynala for almost any webdesign-project since 2019. This particular project was a middle-sized accountant company with individual programming needs and a simple-to-use CMS. We hired Zynala for the whole programming-part.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a reliable and easy to maintain website which needs as little effort to update.

How did you select this vendor?

Since I worked on several jobs with Zynala already I knew the high quality of work and the amazing customer support.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Zynala managed the programming and adjusting of the website. They helped moving the website to another hoster and even fixed several hosting issues which helped us a lot.

What was the team composition?

One Project Manager and two programmers.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They listened to my problems and were very flexible and reactive to any questions I had. They also came up with their own ideas which helped me decide the best way to go.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I only had one person of contact and everything else was handled internally, which was working great without me having a headache to run after several people.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They want to know their customers and don't stop until you are happy with the product.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they had one or two designers as well to make small design-changes efficiently.

At the time of my engagement with Zynala, I was a freelancer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zynala?

We worked together on several projects involving the development of websites for some of my clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zynala and I worked together on a wide range of web development projects for  several clients. In one, the team was responsible for building a corporate Drupal website for an insurance client. For the same client, the developers created a content-focused WordPress website that allowed the organization to connect with their clients through articles, blogs, and other materials.

In another project, Zynala developed a platform that would allow the client to facilitate social housing to certain demographics. 

With each, we collaborated on design and marketing strategies, gathering data in order to come to a better understanding of our clients’ customers.

What is the team composition?

Laura (Co-Owner & Project Manager, Zynala) and the CTO were my main points of contact. I had occasional communication with developers as well.

How did you come to work with Zynala?

Zynala was referred to me by friends who had worked with them and been satisfied with their services.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent under $50,000 on my engagements with Zynala. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May 2017 – May 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our customers were completely satisfied with the work the team was able to accomplish. The insurance client was pleased with the designs, which matched the specs exactly. There were practically no changes made to Zynala's final deliverables. 

For the social housing project, 20% of the client’s allocation became digital, growth which resulted in the creation of an entire, new department. The site itself was accessible and easy to navigate, and the client was extremely happy with the results.

How did Zynala perform from a project management standpoint?

Laura and I worked together almost daily. She was fantastic at clearly stating what could, or could not, be accomplished. Our communication was smooth throughout the partnership.

She also oversaw testing, which was done very well. All of the team’s deliverables were high-quality and delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Zynala’s service was impeccable. Especially compared to other developers I’ve worked with, the team was quick and able to make changes seamlessly. They’re fair with pricing, and they deliver what they promise when it comes to value.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to give a lot of instruction upfront. If you give proper direction, the team at Zynala will communicate well and provide quick, precise work.
