Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Wyld Guides. We’re a mobile platform that connects fishing guides to clients around the world. We help them with scheduling, booking, marketing, and payment collection.


For what projects/services did your company hire Zoar?

I wanted to have a functioning MVP.

What were your goals for this project?

To capitalize on a market that has not yet seen this kind of technology yet. The process of booking fishing guides has been outdated for some time, and we wanted to create a user-friendly and easy way to do so.


How did you select this vendor?

We found them on Upwork and chose them because they were over-qualified for the task at hand. We wanted it to be created by the best.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we began the contract, we broke the development into milestones such as Stripe integration to calendar logic. We would ask them to complete one milestone at a time, then we would give our input and critique it as much as possible. We could then move onto the next milestone.

What was the team composition?

Everything went through the head of Zoar Technology who worked very closely with us to make sure they were building what we wanted. He worked with a developer who we would talk to every once in a while.


Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Currently, we are still in beta test mode though we have begun some promising marketing campaigns. After just three weeks, we already have close to 300 followers on Instagram and many guides are ready to start listing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective; we developed something great in a very short amount of time. We would meet weekly and go over future developments which helped speed everything up.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with their knowledge of iOS development and integration. Anything that we asked for, even the most complex parts, they were able to code for.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, they’re a very high-level company and not much if anything needs to be changed about their work.
