Three years ago, I started a firearms business. It’s primarily online, but we do have a small location.

What challenge were you trying to address with ZINC Digital of Miami?

We wanted a website that would stand out in our industry. A lot of people have websites, but not a lot of them jump out and grab you. I wanted something that looked bigger than what we are, and that would actually get people’s attention and drive traffic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ZINC Digital of Miami designed and developed the site from scratch. I told Kirk (Founder) to build a website that he would make for himself. I gave him some input and design cues.

He implemented movement within the platform through high-quality pictures that display hunting and sports shooting.

At the same time, I was working with a company that offers an online store through all of my distributors. Kirk was able to integrate that into the website, ensuring it matched perfectly.

What is the team composition?

Kirk is my point of contact.

How did you come to work with ZINC Digital of Miami?

We saw Kirk’s work, and it looked really good. I reached out to him, letting him know what I was looking for.

How much have you invested with them?

The development portion was only a couple hundred dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started in July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Kirk is offering more services to drive traffic to my platform. Everyone who has seen the site comments on its professional look. They all say that it looks like a larger company’s site rather than a small gun shop.

As for the online store portion, I’m still waiting for distributors to have it running seamlessly. Other than that, the timeline for everything else was about a week and a half.

How did ZINC Digital of Miami perform from a project management standpoint?

ZINC Digital of Miami truly went above and beyond. When I told Kirk what I wanted, he would let me know his thoughts within an hour. Whenever he changed something with his input, it would be better.

His responsiveness is just better than expected. For example, I’ve seen him on Facebook working on his motorcycle. I’ll ask him a question, and within an hour, he’s already met my request. It’s a very dynamic relationship.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Based on limited information, I received a product that was above my expectations. Kirk was able to take what little information I gave him and turn into an excellent product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, but as for my experience with him, I couldn’t ask for anything better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re in a time crunch, Kirk is the guy you want to be dealing with. His communication is outstanding. He’s very easy to get ahold of. If I emailed him, he responded to the email. If I call or text him, he responds the same way.
