Please describe your company.

I work for King Cole. We’re an event service company, located in New York.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I’m the director of event management.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was your goal for working with ZeroZen Design?

We needed to update the website to include all of our new services. We wanted to rebrand ourselves. We wanted a crisp, clean, and bright website. The current one we had was very dark and outdated, so we wanted to make a full change. We redid our logo to incorporate bright colors into it, and we wanted the website to reflect that.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their work.

They created a whole new platform for our site. They used WordPress for it, since I was familiar with that background. They put together all of the pages that we liked. I did the content, but they designed it and laid it out for us.

What was your process for selecting ZeroZen Design with which to work?

I did a search online, and I spoke to a few different designers, and found out that they were what we were looking for. They fell into our budget as well, and they seemed like they were very responsive, and they knew kind of where we wanted to go with the site.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

Around $7,000.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the results of the project?

We started working with them in August of 2014. Relationship is ongoing.

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

It came back pretty positive. It’s definitely the look that we were striving for. We’re a firm that uses a lot of technology, and the website reflects that. They were really helpful in creating the site with us. We’ve gotten great feedback, and it’s mobile and tablet friendly so that was a huge plus.

Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?

I think their direct approach is one of their strongest skills. They are in contact with you every step of the way.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?

No. They exceeded our expectations.

Triage First is a hospital emergency department education and consulting business.

What is your role at the company?

I am the e-learning specialist.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached ZeroZen Design?

We needed website design that fit our budget and brand. We were looking for that "feel" that would present our business on the Web.  We really wanted to increase our market share by introducing online courses for nurses and physicians.

SOLUTION

Can you discuss the scope of the project?

It was comprehensive work that they provided for us, everything from content to design to implementation. It took us about a month just to prepare, in layouts, colors, content, etc.

What was your process for selecting ZeroZen Design with which to work?

They were recommended by a highly respected business consultant. That was it, and one conversation with David convinced us the consultant made the right recommendation.

Can you give a sense of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?

In the neighborhood of $3,000, I think it was.

When was the project completed?

We started working with them in 2012, and the work was finished in that same year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?

We are pleased with the work. I'd say the website has performed as well as we expected. They performed very well. They had some really fresh ideas. They work fast, while still holding a level of expertise.

When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies with which you may have worked?

They have "young" ideas, presented several different layouts, and knew the direction we wanted to take. They got it.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

No.
