A photography business wanted to establish a web presence. The team at ZENTA Digital put together business cards and designed an e-commerce website.
ZENTA Digital delivered a successful web platform for the client. They're creative, accommodating, and collaborative. While COVID-19 made communication difficult, all parties worked well together.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founding director of Michael Gladman Photography.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with ZENTA Digital?
I needed to establish a website presence.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially asked them to put together some letterhead and business cards. Their team designed and developed my website along with the e-commerce side.
I talked with them for a couple of weeks, looking at options as we decided on the design I currently have. I asked them to write something that I could handle. I wanted to load photographs, edit, put comments, and then create options within that where people can go in and order prints depending on the size and frame.
They offered to do SEO, but it wasn’t something I wanted to pursue yet.
What is the team composition?
I was in contact with the managing director. One of his colleagues helped me through some of the e-commerce side of things.
How did you come to work with ZENTA Digital?
I heard about them through word of mouth.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested £2,000 (approximately $2,780 USD)
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October 2020–March 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s been much more successful than I thought it would be.
How did ZENTA Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We couldn’t meet face to face because of COVID-19 regulations at the start. It was a little difficult, but we used email, phone calls, and Zoom. We managed to finally sit down earlier this year in a controlled environment and start the process in bouncing ideas off each other.
From a project management point of view, it probably wasn’t as quick as they would’ve wanted but it certainly suited the conditions we were operating in.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team is creative. They were able to pull out of me how I visualized the end product. They steered into what would look best for what I was hoping to get across from a photography point of view.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since we couldn’t meet in person at first, it was difficult to have a discussion and turn that into a visual. Using Zoom became easier, but we didn’t really get the feel of it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a basis of an idea of where you want to be and allow them to build on it. They were willing to guide where I didn’t know what the potential was for certain sites and designs.
