I work at a nonprofit startup that connects people to opportunities in public interest technology. We’re focused on early career professional development. I’m a strategy lead so I help with industry research and UI/UX work.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zenbu Ltd.?

We didn’t have a good understanding of how to market ourselves and improve our Google search ranking. We hired them to help with data analytics, marketing, and SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our target audience is students and young people. They helped us better understand our data analytics so we could reach a broader audience. They installed a data analytics tool on the backend of our platform. Their team worked on digital marketing and SEO efforts. They also consulted on branding and visual design.

I worked with one person directly. 

How did you come to work with Zenbu Ltd.?

We heard about them through a personal connection. Their pricing was affordable for us as a startup which is one of the reasons we decided to select them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent several thousand dollars. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2020, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been able to use their data analytics reporting to grow our business and increase our social media and Google presence. 

How did Zenbu Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management and communication were very efficient. There was a time difference between our offices, but they maintained a quick turnaround time of no more than 12 hours. They were always very punctual and responsive. They guided us through the project and made the process easy. 

We communicated through Slack and over Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by how quickly everything got done and how receptive they were to our feedback. They answered all of our questions and would interface with us directly if needed. Their level of communication was superb. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything right now. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I think they’re great, especially for smaller organizations and startups.

I’m the science and logistics director at Virality Diagnostics, a medical device distributor. Right now, we’re focused on COVID-19 medical diagnostic devices but we will be expanding into multiple different types of product offerings.

What challenge were you trying to address with Zenbu Ltd.?

Since we’re a startup with not that many employees, I have a very fluid role that also encompasses overseeing the website. We needed help developing our website. We wanted to have a public image so that companies could look us up and find out more about us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Zenbu developed the website, set up a portal, keep up the website domain names, and do our SEO. We don’t require as much from them anymore because we have the main website set up. 

Sometimes there are small edits we want to make and they’re always very responsive and extremely fast at responding and performing the changes requested.

What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact but he has 1-2 other people helping him.

How did you come to work with Zenbu Ltd.?

We knew the main person that took over our project because of connections through our university. We contacted them and they seemed very open to the project. They had plenty of experience and also had a very good rate.

How much have you invested with them?

There was an initial investment to begin the project and following that, it was an hourly cost. Overall, it was less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2020 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we look up our company on Google, it’s now the first result. We can see the traffic that the website generates. Behind the scenes, we get all the traffic numbers. 

We also deal with some of the customers. I can see that the inflow of customers has increased substantially since our involvement with Zenbu Ltd. It’s been a very positive add for us. Different partners say they saw this and that on our website.

How did Zenbu Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email to set up meetings and for small items. To go over the project and any large updates that needed to be done, we’ll have a Zoom call, share screens, and go line-by-line and item by item on the website. 

Zenbu’s experience was flawless. It was really amazing with them from start to finish. They had a great sense of what we wanted and how to implement it. They implemented everything in a very timely manner. It was really great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The speed and efficiency at which they do the work is impressive. They’re always very responsive. They respond in 12 hours or less. For smaller items, they actually implement the items in 10 minutes. We send an email asking for a small item to be corrected, and 10 minutes later I receive an email back saying it’s done. 

They don’t compromise speed for performance or quality. The quality of the work is extremely good. What really distinguishes Zenbu is the speed at which they perform high-quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were flawless.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I fully recommend working with them. Be open and explain exactly what you want. They will get it done. You’ll receive exactly the work that you expect.
