Zazz is building an app for a social networking firm. The team has done a code review and aims to update the app to meet market standards. They’re also maintaining the client’s site and developing their brand.
The client is pleased with Zazz’s work. The team has given the client a holistic view of their product and provides robust QA services. They’ve also met timeline requirements and deliver everything on time. Their workflow is well-planned and properly executed, resulting in a smooth collaboration.

transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Madgum. The company revolves around an app that allows us to connect everybody on one platform, where users can chat, date, or even buy and sell products.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
Zazz is developing our mobile app and maintaining our website, which has been developed by another service provider.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
My goal for my app was to update its code to current standards, so I initially gave Zazz our source code and the design assets of the app. They performed a code review and generated a report of what things were missing from the product. The team also gave me an optimization report on what needed to be updated to meet the market’s current standards. From there, they gave me the option of moving forward with the updates or leveraging what was already done on the app.
At present, I’m still working with Zazz. We’re trying to redefine the app and develop good brand value in the market. They’re helping me with everything from refactoring the code to developing and optimizing product features. I’ve taken up their marketing offer, too, so they’ll take care of my marketing needs when the app is launched. I aim to increase our online presence with them as our partner.
What is the team composition?
The team composition has changed a bit. In the beginning, I worked with a salesperson. We had discussions about how many hours the project would take and what kind of monthly engagement we’d have.
Since then, Zazz has assigned a product owner and a project manager to the project. They’ve also allocated a development team for it, so the total team size is around 4–5 people. My main point of contact is the project manager.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
For context, I started this project with freelancers and another company, but they didn’t meet my expectations. As a result, I searched for companies and found Zazz. I learned that their flow was better and that they provided multiple services. I contacted somebody from their team, and we started working together from there.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent between $60,000–$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with Zazz in December 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My experience with Zazz has been great. With them, I have a full-fledged team. They do proper QA, so I don’t have to spend too much time checking for bugs. The team gives me a holistic view of the product and shows me things that I couldn’t have figured out on my own.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve never faced any issues in terms of timelines. I have a monthly engagement with them and have a set number of hours. At the end of every month, they give me a plan for the work they’ll do in the upcoming month. I know what to look forward to for the next month because of this, and that’s good because I’m paying them for those hours.
As for deliverables, everything has been given to me on time. I’ve never seen them acquire extra hours because everything is truly well-planned and well-executed. Given that, I’ve also never experienced any budget problems with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The product owner assigned to me is highly skilled. Since I’m not technically savvy, she’s been helping me understand the technical aspects of the project. She simplifies things so I can understand what users want.
Overall, she and the project manager have been hands-on throughout the engagement. I haven’t had any issues communicating or being transparent with them. I totally trust the people assigned to my project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. I haven’t experienced any rough patches with them, and everything has been truly smooth.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
With Zazz, you don’t have to do a lot of work. If you’re a founder or a co-founder of your business, you can focus on other things while Zazz helps design or develop your product. They take care of nearly everything on their own. You only have to review their work and give your approval. Their work is transparent, so you won’t have to spend much time figuring out what’s happening to your product.
Overall, if you’re planning to hire Zazz, go for it. They’re highly organized, and their structure is highly recommended for anyone with a development project.

A food delivery startup has hired Zazz for web application design and development services. Key features include four unique user options, a calendar portion to input schedules, and payment integration.
The client has been thrilled with Zazz's design, and the application is set to go live soon. The team stays on schedule and delivers within timelines. The client has been impressed with Zazz’s ability to understand their vision and the team’s commitment to delivering on their promises.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the project manager for a startup company. We are in the process of developing a food delivery product aimed at students and athletes.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
We’ve hired Zazz for web application and e-commerce development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve started with building an MVP. The application has four types of users, including students and coaches. Students can create a profile and add themselves to a specific sports team, and coaches can add all of their games in a season to the application. Once the game schedule is in our application’s calendar, players can choose what food they want for each event.
All restaurants are listed on the application, and the web app has a payment functionality. The team has also been responsible for designing the application; once we go live, we plan on giving Zazz the maintenance contract. Key technologies include Express.js, Global Admin, JavaScript, Angular, and React.
What is the team composition?
We primarily work with a design lead, product owner, and project manager. There is a team working behind the scenes that includes a front- and backend developer, a business analyst, a deployment engineer, and a QA individual.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
We found Zazz through a Google search. We were initially looking for a company to help us understand how to start developing an application. We spoke to a couple of companies who didn’t seem to understand our idea, but when we talked to Zazz they seemed to know what we were looking for. Zazz quickly brought in a technical lead, which cemented our decision because we felt they would be equipped to complete tasks.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $57,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We really like the designs they’ve come up with; they’ve turned out better than we could have imagined.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
The team stays on schedule and delivers on time. We use Microsoft Teams for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team delivers on their promises, and we’ve been impressed with their commitment. The team truly understands our vision, and because of that, they’ve been able to deliver quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’re happy with Zazz’s work.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Know what you want and reach out to Zazz because they can do it.

A home construction checking company hired Zazz to design and develop their mobile app. The team delivered mock-ups and Figma designs and then built the app for iOS and Android using React Native and Node.js.
Thanks to Zazz’s work, the app was completed. The team addressed all issues and bugs quickly and gave the client a good warranty period. They also managed the project effectively and were truly professional and punctual. They were also collaborative and transparent throughout the engagement.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Home Health Check. We provide a free app to our users, and it lets them monitor the health of their homes. They can monitor faulty faucets, chimney problems, or any issues related to the construction of their homes.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
I hired Zazz to create our app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
During the kickoff stage, I gave Zazz drafts of the app and a requirements document. They created a technical feature list for me, and it showed all the business and monetization features that the app would need. From there, we moved on to the discovery and design phase, which took about four weeks.
I had frequent calls with the project manager. That manager and another person checked on me to know whether things were going well or not. We also had calls to finalize any requirements and ambiguities the project might have. They worked on planning everything so we wouldn’t have any problems or risks when we jumped into the development phase. They delivered low-fidelity designs, mock-ups, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
From there, Zazz developed the app from scratch. There were some third parties, but they were mainly emails and connections to Google and Apple accounts. The app was compatible with iOS and Android. For the technology stack, we used React Native and Node.js.
What is the team composition?
My initial contact with Zazz was through their sales team. They gave me a team of five people, including the project manager, project owner, and technical project manager. There were many more teammates involved in the background, but I wasn’t in direct contact with them.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
I found them through Google.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent around $70,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from April–August 2023. The app is already completed, but there’s a warranty period where I can add improvements or suggestions. I’m planning to launch it live by October 2023.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app was completed, and Zazz gave me a change request form to address any issues that I found. They also gave me a warranty for the app. This was great because I had a fixed budget and didn’t want to exceed it. The warranty period helped me streamline the process and iron out any issues.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
Their initial quote was $65,000, which was a little over my expected budget. However, they explained their work in the best way possible and truly brought my app idea to life, making the investment a small amount to pay for the service.
Moreover, I was proactively involved in the development phase and discussed some features that I wanted to but didn’t have the additional budget. The manager helped me understand that a lot of those things were already included in the scope, and they were already working on them. They were only a little different from what I was picturing.
The team also had great demonstrations. If I felt handicapped at any point, they were quick to react — their professionalism and punctuality were truly great. On top of that, they were fully transparent. If we needed to push back the deadline, they’d explain the reason to me. They were truly collaborative, and we had smooth communication. Their members were upfront about their progress.
To communicate, we had a Slack channel. The project manager was always available on Slack whenever I had issues. We also used emails and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They did this project with a great amount of planning before execution — everyone should learn a lesson from it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Tell Zazz everything, and elaborate on every feature you need. Little things can become big, and you wouldn’t want something to be exploited just because it wasn’t considered upfront. Be open with the team and communicate every point. Don’t make any assumptions that the team already knows everything from the get-go. They’re knowledgeable, but domain-specific knowledge needs to be shaped. Overall, be specific about the features you want, and they’ll build something incredible.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a manager for Elite Builder Co. Our company specializes in construction services, including building from the ground up and remodeling existing structures.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
We've been in California for about a decade. The construction business faces several challenges, with cost being a significant issue. We hired Zazz to create a mobile application for us.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are creating a native application. We have asked them to develop designs for Android and iOS.
They have provided content-based services such as renovation. They are working on an AI visualization aspect of the application. Our clients can see how their house or commercial space will look. There will also be safety guidelines for people living in that area. These options will be specific for those engaging in the activities and hiring our services.
What is the team composition?
Our team had eight individuals with different roles: a front-end developer, a back-end developer, two designers, and two testers.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to give a shout-out to the business analyst team. They are highly professional and have the necessary technical expertise. The project manager and design team are also great.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
I discovered them by conducting a Google search and analyzing their reviews on both Clutch and Google.
How much have you invested in them?
The overall cost will be $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in May 2023, and it's ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our company will launch an app with over 10 features in December, which we expect will attract many new clients. We're excited about its revolutionary impact. Few applications in the market provide the same service.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of project management, I rate them five stars. The Zazz team has been accommodating by granting me access to their Jira platform, which keeps me updated on the project's progress. Additionally, they have a transparent approach to their work, and I am promptly informed of any internal changes.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They can take your brand to the next level and beyond.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't see any room for improvement. The team is already doing its best, including having highly skilled business analysts with diverse talents on board.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Collaborating with the right partner can turn any idea into a great solution. There's no such thing as a bad idea when you have a supportive team.

Zazz has developed a website and mobile application for iOS for a real estate company. The platforms allow people to look for and find properties easily to avoid scams in the area.
The mobile application is still in development, but the client is highly satisfied with the website’s outcome. Zazz stands out for their knowledge about mobile application development, and the team is clear with communication. They manage the project well through email, phone, and Skype.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the communication manager for Bright Move Homes, a real estate company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
The idea was to build a platform where people could easily find rental apartments. The real estate market in Arizona isn’t as simple as in Rhode Island or Florida, for example. Many scams are happening around these localities, so we decided to build an application and a website where people could look for properties.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Zazz has developed a website and a mobile application for iOS. Initially, we discussed the project over a call; Zazz helped us lay out the idea because we only had a basic real estate application idea. We didn’t give them any specific documentation; we just told them was we were looking for.
Currently, the app development is still in process.
What is the team composition?
Aside from the project managers, we have six team members: a business analyst, a product designer, two developers, and two QA analysts.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
We found them on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2023, and our relationship is ongoing. We expect to finish the app by the end of April 2023.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still waiting for the mobile app, so we have nothing in that area. However, we’re very happy with the website we have now. We’re expecting the same outcome for our mobile app.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
We know what’s going on with the project; they’re very clear with communication. Zazz shares any designs or ideas they have in mind through email. Aside from that, we usually talk via phone or Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Before the project began, we didn’t have much idea about mobile app development or how the process worked. Zazz really knows about their stuff; they go through every piece of the website and app.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything at this moment.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just be straightforward with what you’re expecting for your project. Zazz can come up with better ideas.

Zazz is developing a carpool platform app for the web, Android, and iOS. They’ve first discussed the project with the client. Afterward, they’ve built the app’s wireframes and designed its UI/UX.
Zazz has successfully created a functional prototype that has allowed the client to raise funding for the project. Their organized approach, personability, and use of Atlassian result in a collaborative partnership. Their project management skills complement their app development expertise.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Co-founder and CMO of AIM, which introduced the carpool platform for South Africa. We are planning to launch a kind of social networking app that connects people who are traveling to the same destination and at the same time. People can connect and communicate with each other to reach their destination.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Zazz, and what were your goals?
We have planned to launch a platform where people can connect with each other and plan their drive. We hired zazz to build a carpool platform that includes a website, Android and iOS apps, and admin panel.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I found zazz over the Internet as one of the top reputed app development service providers. I have reviewed their website and found many case studies for on-demand services. I have asked my team to check and shortlist the final vendor from all five vendors we selected for our tech needs. The cost and time frame given by zazz suits our budget and expectations to launch the platform, and we finalized them as our app development partner.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We discussed our idea business analyst team after NDA to finalize the scope of work for our idea. They discussed all requirements on call and suggested a few additional features that attract more audiences to the app. They prepared the doc with all functionalities and wireframes of the apps before signing the contract.
Our project was assigned to Mr. Peter, Senior Technical Project Manager of zazz, who curated the development strategy. As wireframes were ready, they started with UI/UX designs for the app. It takes almost a week to complete all screens and approved by our team.
Next, they worked on a prototype to understand the workflow. The team started working on the development stage just after finishing the prototype. They scheduled weekly calls with our team to share completed tasks and asked for feedback. In some cases, they also show a demo to our team on how the app works and perform all features in real-time to identify the issues and solve them.
Deliverables for our platform will be Android and iOS apps, a website, a web-based admin panel, and all design files and codes.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The project manager is the contact point for us to communicate all time during development. For an initial discussion, we communicated with the Technical Architect and the Business team. During the development stage, we have worked with 15 people including:
technical project manager
tech lead
senior mobile app developers
backend developers
devOps engineer
UI/UX designers
web designers
quality assurance testers
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
With the prototype of an app developed by zazz, we have raised good funding from investors. We are planning to launch the app this July and current development work is already going on as planned. They are working on final bug fixing tasks and are ready to deliver in the next 15 days.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project manager is very polite and well-experienced in the process of development. He reviewed the Scope of Work document first, then curated the development strategy and defined different milestones. He managed the whole team and checked for updates daily.
They used Atlassian project management tools to plan and manage all tasks for resources within hours. The project manager and team worked beyond our expectations, completed each task in the given timeline and delivered the app builds to test as planned.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We are impressed with the skills and knowledge of their developers. Some challenging tasks needed extra efforts, but their technical experts researched and created various algorithms to complete the tasks in a given timeline.
The project manager also not failed to impress us with his project management skills. He is always available to answer us and resolve any issue during development with his expertise.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We haven’t faced any conflict or delay in the timeline. We are happy to recommend zazz as a development partner for any tech requirements.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the owner of Midas Tech. We are a company based in Montreal, Québec. We provide IT Support Services, like Data and Voice Cabling and Video Surveillance solutions.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Zazz, and what were your goals?
Midas Tech aims to create safer homes, workspaces, and businesses for our clients by implementing robust video surveillance solutions. However, we felt that something was missing, and we must keep pace with the changing digital landscape and adopt the disruptive technologies that are reshaping the security industry.
Apart from the regular surveillance, we wanted to significantly improve security by using computer vision and automation in deep learning driven by sensors and powerful processors of IoT. We wanted a sophisticated system that allows machines to see and analyze images enabling more insightful responses to emergencies and accidents, for example, detecting fire and identifying suspicious behaviour.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We heard really good feedback from a vendor for whom they built an IoT system. We went through Zazz’s portfolio, and it stood out to us. So, we hired them for our project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Zazz’s IoT team worked closely with our in-house team. They employed their knowledge and understanding of the Internet of Things to create an all-inclusive dashboard for information collection from sensors and analysis, a cloud-based ecosystem for storing data, and mitigate the security risks of the IoT network by ensuring port security, disabling port forwarding, and using firewalls. They paid attention to every minute detail and kept everyone on the same page to avoid confusion and errors.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The first point of contact was the business analyst team that helped in consulting on various aspects of the project and analyzing our requirements. Later, we worked with one project manager, four senior developers, and one quality analyst.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have seen 40% increase in our sales and after our partnership with Zazz we have been able to partner with many big names of the industry because of the robustness and the quality of our product.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Zazz’s strategic approach ensured the project was completed on time. They have a very strong project management team that was easy to communicate with and responded to our feedback promptly. Phone Interview
Zazz was hired to develop the web and mobile versions of a habit management platform. The technologies they use for the build include Swift, Kotlin, React, Python, MongoDB, and AWS.
The partnership has been beneficial for the client thanks to Zazz's management and ownership of the project. The team is highly communicative and internal stakeholders are particularly impressed with their solutions-based approach to the development process.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CTO of a startup that’s developing a digital platform where users can track, improve, and measure their habits. It's a one-stop solution to track daily activities which can be enhanced through a systematic process.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Zazz?
We arrived at a series of funding for this particular project, so we started looking for someone to develop a mobile and web app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The initial process was straightforward, as they presented a proposal that included a set of features we had to finalize. We then had multiple brainstorming sessions with their business analysis team to finalize the scope, and proceed with the app and web development.
The technology we’re using includes Swift for iOS, and Kotlin for Android — we also use React and OJS for the backend of the web app. Additionally, we use Python for some components, MongoDB for database management, and AWS as our main cloud platform.
They’ve also provided us with app store optimization, as well as SEO and paid advertising management.
What is the team composition?
We were in touch with an account director in the initial stages of the project, which was then handed over to the project director. We also work with a technical lead, project manager, DevOps engineer, on-site engineer, and business analyst.
How did you come to work with Zazz?
We came across their company through an online search and met with them at their office before finalizing a deal.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent about $80,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The ongoing partnership started in May 2021, and we’re currently trying to raise funds for the second version of the app to develop more advanced features.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’re perfect partners and we’re very happy with their services. They took over the management of the project in its entirety, which gives us more time to focus on the core of our business — they did everything we wanted and we didn’t even need to follow up on the progress regularly.
How did Zazz perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re awesome from a project management standpoint and they use a tool called Atlassian to manage the project. We typically communicate through Slack and use Zoom for quick weekly meetings — their deliverables are consistently sent via emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed with their ability to come up with solutions and figure out our needs. Zazz understands what we want and professionally converts them into a visual design before finalizing them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything they could improve on at the moment, because they’ve done a good job so far.
Any advice for potential customers?
I would advise you to give them a written version of your requirements so they can quickly come up with solutions and speed up the discovery process.
